My friends joined me for Wine Hour!

The Oaks is amazing!! I am so glad I chose it for my solo, birthday getaway. My friends stopped by for Wine Hour and didnt want to leave! Sharon and Quinton are very hospitable and gracious with their space. There are several spaces to be alone or gather with others. The rooms are impeccably decorated with so many subtle touches to match the themes. The morning of my birthday, I had breakfast waiting for me. They also gave me a birthday card...HOW THOUGHTFUL! They enforce COVID precautions which is comforting. The Oaks is definitely a home away from home. My friends are already planning their stays there. It was perfect for celebrating my National Holiday! I look forward to going back. Thanks Sharon and Quinton!!

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

The lobby is busy, but very clean and staff are always at the desk and available. Overall , the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Once we arrived and checked in I realized that the bathroom had a tub and not a step in shower. I booked based on pictures online, so I was pretty sure that the bathroom had a step in shower that my mom would be able to use. However, upon entering the room, I noticed a tub. I went back down to the desk and asked if there was any way possible to switch to a room with a step in shower to accommodate my mom. The young lady at the desk said "yes, of course! I want to make sure that we can accommodate you." Although they were at high occupancy and it was a busy weekend, our room was changed in less than two minutes. No additional questions, no attitude, just excellent customer service. They had me there. Next up, the room. Extremely clean, smelled fresh, no moldy smell or loud air conditioning unit. We had a suite with a king bed and sofa pull out couch which was perfect for our needs. Rooms could use an update but are in great condition. Smart tvs in bedroom and living room, desk area, bathroom with pocket door between toilet/shower area and sink, mini fridge, microwave. The breakfast is also included and had a huge variety...omelette station, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, assorted fruits (green apples, pears, oranges), oatmeal and toppings. Dining staff were on it and replaced food quickly. They cleared tables quickly and wiped them down for the next guests. Everything was hot and fresh. We also had tickets for an afternoon reception with drinks and a snack but didn't get a chance to use them since we were at the hospital during the day. Another staff who worked in the dining area, Ms. Miriyam, was so kind and compassionate to my mom. So kind, in fact, that I will be writing a separate acknowledgment of her outstanding customer service. I only have one complaint. The parking situation is not ideal. There is a parking lot located behind the hotel and parking is limited and pretty tight. Also, a limited number of handicap parking is available near the elevators. Parking is $24/day. If you're bringing someone who uses a wheelchair, it may be helpful to let them out directly in front of the hotel/lobby area and then park unless your lucky enough to get handicap parking near the elevator. I wish I had taken pictures of the room, but it was just such a busy weekend and I forgot ! We're looking forward to bringing our family member here for a staycation once he is well enough. Thank you to the staff at Hilton Embassy Suites Bethesda for making our stay extremely comfortable and making a stressful time for our family a bit easier.

About a month prior, I came in to scope out the space, and the staff at that time were incredibly helpful and welcoming. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of interacting with new team members, and they were just as amazing. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and the entire process was seamless and stress-free. I truly appreciated the accommodations made while I was unloading my supplies. The staff kindly allowed me time to park outside to ensure I had everything I needed before moving my vehicle. They also assisted me with parking, guiding me to the garage, and making sure I knew exactly where to go. Their patience and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. Even as I passed the office multiple times needing assistance, each team member I encountered was consistently kind, attentive, and eager to help. That level of service speaks volumes. I would like to recognize this hotel for having such outstanding individuals representing the face of their company. It's clear that their professionalism, attentiveness, and positive attitudes play a major role in the overall success of the business. As a side note, the breakfast at this location is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend that anyone visiting takes the time to enjoy it in the morning you won't be disappointed.

There are a plethora of restaurants up and down Roseville Pike and also plenty in the adjacent shopping district. The rooms are perfectly adequate, ours included a Nespresso coffee machine and upon check in Bree at the front desk asked if we wanted a fridge and microwave. We have the highest tier of Hilton status so I'm not certain if she offered due to this or if this is offered to all. The day that we checked in and worked with Bree, I was Impressed. After that, many things fell through the cracks. I'm not sure if she's management or what, but they need a few more hers on site. My husband and I decided to pop in for "Happy Hour" and that was simply confusing. I don't feel like explaining all that happened, but it's safe to say that placing orders at the bar is best. My husband had breakfast daily at Hello Betty since he was going to be at the show for 10 hours a day. I only tried it the last day we were here and the eggs were flavorless and the grits not cooked properly. Grits should not be gritty. They are to be cooked down until they are creamy. They were seasoned well, but I just couldn't get past the newbie chef texture error. Getting housekeeping was an issue and that required my husband placing a request in the app after I had waited hours. I just said give me towels and tissue so I can move on with life. I did not leave my sleep notice on the door and I waited in the room because I wanted to shower before roaming around for the day. That was disappointing, but also Brew wasn't at the front desk. I can say that the valet guys are attentive and always tried to get me a vehicle even when I didn't need it. Also, my server on Sunday morning at breakfast was kind. He had a tattooed head. The room is comfy and clean.

I had to talk to the front desk 3 times to get anything done about shower holsters. As for the workout bands, a front desk concierge said they would go get me some from an upper floor and bring them to me, and after an hour past with no word, I called the front desk for them to tell me all of the bands were being replaced. Would have been nice to let me know instead of just ghosting me. The gym was at least mostly nice, with the exception of one broken machine and a door to a stretch room that once entered was filled to the brim with boxes of towels. One guest even pointed out the pool issue, but it took a whole month for the hotel to respond and remove that misleading information. Unbelievable! It is still up online. Parking: I inquired about parking, and the front desk informed me it costs 31 dollars, stating I could "pay at the garage or at the hotel." So, I headed to the garage only to find out that all-day parking was just 22 dollars. Seriously, where they pulled that 31-dollar figure from is beyond me! I mentioned that there are other parking garages just a block away that are free on weekends, and her response was, "I don't know, I just know about the hotel." Unbelievable! They spent most of their time just sitting around. * There were absolutely no security cameras anywhere on the floor. * The freezer was broken - I had to call the front desk not once, but TWICE before anyone bothered to show up. * The coffee machine was not even plugged in. * Room service isn't daily; you have to tell the front desk if you want your room cleaned. I had to ask them just to get some towels. * The bathroom had no amenities whatsoever, not even hand soap or Q-tips. * There was no body wash bottle installed, as if it had been removed; all that was available was shampoo and hair conditioner. * The room safe was already locked when I arrived. * The hotel parking specifications and rates were incredibly unclear * Room Safe was already locked (I would give them another START if the pool issue was resolved/ and addressed before my booking. I never want others to have to indur things unnecessarily. So let's begin. I decided to do a weekend full of activities to celebrate my husband's recent birthday. Original plans fell through because of storm Helene. We have been doing things he enjoy doing and due to doing so, hotels would be needed as an overnight stay. I must say I do pretty well with selecting hotels and am struggling with how I missed some of the reviews or ignored the pictures for this particular hotel. (I took some pics as well). I am blaming it on having multiple hotels open while trying to book one. As we pulled up, I immediately noticed how compact the parking lot was and the few spaces. Once walking in, the stench of an unclean carpet/furniture was more than enough to make me vomit in my mouth. I looked up to see multiple old water stained office type styrofoam tiles. Instantly I wondered when was the last time this establishment had been inspected. I asked the associate how many floors were there and if I could be placed on the top. Again, all sorts of thoughts are racing through my mind and at this very moment, I questioned leaks. The conditions here to include the laundry room are simply deplorable. Room 515, our room- the chair was dirty, the cabinet which stored the refrigerator was broken and this room also wreaked of urine. Honestly, I was fearful of what microscopic organisms possibly lingered under the sheets. I knew I couldn't stay here so I checked out. We found another hotel. It's disappointing I wasted money but I would not have had a good night. I promised myself going forward to not book anything if I'm tired.
