Busy on a Sunday (World Cup 2026 happening) big screens and a fun crowd. We had the fish n chips, wrap, onion rings and chicken nuggets kids meal and it was great. Fun little pub in the hidden gem of Garden Grove's old town section. It's a few minutes walk from the Garden Amp so there's many places to eat and drink here. Both times I've been here with friends, we split the double patty burger and garlic fries. Yum! Most recently, i had the Coconut Shrimp and they were perfect with our cocktails. Courtney makes some of the best Bloody Marys in the OC. Hangover cure for me every single time but it isn't the great food or service that will bring you back it's the vibe. Ambience is lively and friendly, the staff is friendly too. Their in-house beers are pretty good! A nice variety in stock. The food is better than other bars I've been to. Outdoor sitting is great for people watching Expecially on Friday evenings, when the local car show is happening. Across from Louie's is a tattoo parlor that hosts art exhibitions every so often. Perfect spot to grab some food some beer and just have a good time. We were looking for a spot to grab some food and have some drinks before a concert so we decided to check this place out and I'm glad we did. Now we parked a few blocks down closer to the venue of the concert but it looks like there is plenty of parking out front or even parking a few blocks down like we did is not bad at all. When we walked in there were some empty tables so we just grabbed one and waited for the server. There was a QR codes on the tables for the menu or you could wait to get one from the server. Although it was getting pretty busy a server came to us in less than 5 minutes which was not too bad of a wait as it looked like she was the only one taking care of our section. I tried a few beers on tap. I had the compadre Mexican Lager and the Bikini Blonde. They had about 30 beers on tap so there will be something for everyone. For food I ended up getting the steak sandwich. It's listed as market price but they have a chalk board that has the price of the day so you don't need to feel shy about asking or anything. This day it was $23. I'm pretty simple guy so I asked what comes on the sandwich and they said nothing just the meat and bun. Shocking as usually it has lettuce or tomatoes at least but figure it must be good And it sure was. It was super delicious and didn't need anything else. They asked how I wanted it cooked and I said medium, and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was not hard at all and was so easy to eat. This isn't some cheap meat that you may be getting at your local burger spot or something. It was honestly one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had. Even for the price I've had some that were a little bit more and were not as good. I would come back just for this. My wife had the B.L.A.T. I'm not a fan of avocado so I'm not going to review this but my wife said it was really good and she finished all her sandwich so she sure loved it. She also got the Garlic fries and they were so good! The serve came a few times basically to get refills on our drinks and that's all we could ask for. It's a busy spot so don't expect them to come every 5 minutes but I had no issues with the service at all. If you are In the area I would highly recommend you come to check this place out. Even if you are not close I would still recommend you come check this place out. We are not super close to here and we are already planning out our next trip. Super cute impromptu lunch/beer with the pup pup! We arrived here on a Sunday at around 1pm and were in search of a beer, of course we ended up having a little bite to eat as well. The bartender was nice enough to let me try a few beers on tap (the sour i originally wanted was out) and I ultimately decided on a cocktail (the stowaway) it was fruity, delicious, and the perfect cocktail for the afternoon. We also had some feta fries and buffalo wings to share. I loved the cucumber (?) dip that came with the feta fries and they didn't skimp on the feta either. The wings were yummy to, but I definitely enjoyed the fries the most. Most importantly, they had an outside section so Josh (the dog) could sneak a few morsels of food while we enjoyed lunch. My husband and I are traveling here in So Cal. We're staying at a local hotel and wanted to go out for "Linner". I looked up this place on Yelp and read the great reviews so we decided to try it out ourselves. It's right downtown Garden Grove on The Original Main Street and It was Great !! My husband had their Corned Beef Sandwich and I opted for their Prime Rib Dip Sandwich. Courtney, Our Server, was Wonderful, she greeted us as soon as we entered and took our Drink Orders first ! She came back quickly and we gave her our meal orders. We were Both Pleasantly Surpised with the Sandwiches we selected and I Must Say that their French Fries are "THE BEST" !! I think they have a 'secret coating' on them and Courtney told us that she's not sure what it is but they Order Them from their Supplier that way ! TASTY ! This is a Great Place Located right on Main Street with other unique shops and restaurants. There is a Great Bar along one side of this Restaurant and there are 8 TV screens to watch your Fav Shows. I had the BLTA: bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado sandwich with fries. It was not bad, maybe even good but not unique or spectacular so I'm giving it an average rating of 3. The restaurant itself is cozy and warm. It has a huge bar(pictured) with a large drink menu. Seems like a quaint spot for regulars. The staff are so friendly, not a fake in your face friendly, but very inviting and helpful. Our waiter was way cool, answering all my questions and he didn't make me feel rushed. This spot is such a Garden Grove staple! You can't miss it because it's in the middle of Main St. so if you go to the weekly car show on Fridays or the farmer's market on Sunday, make sure you stop by for a cold one and some great food -- one of my faves is the shrimp Caesar salad. I like to judge places by the quality of their fries and Louie's doesn't disappoint. Perfectly crispy and if you get the garlic Parmesan, they're VERY generous with the seasoning.
