I've tried a few of their breakfast burritos, starting with the egg burrito. While the tortilla itself isn't anything special, it's cooked very well. The hash browns are the typical loose, diner-style, with a good balance of cheese and egg, and the eggs have been consistently cooked properly every time. The salsa is clean and straightforward, with nice, balanced flavors. I'd give the egg breakfast burrito 4 stars for what it is, though I think the price could reasonably be about $1 lower. Order the Denver omelette and the price on the board said $14. Yet when I looked at the receipt, I was charged $18 plus an extra charge for using a debit card. Asked the cashier why the price difference and she said they hadn't changed their menu board yet and that all the prices were different than what was on the menu board. This seemed a little bit ridiculous to me as you can put tape up there and with a new price so at least people know what they're paying. The next day I ordered the same item from Harry's Café one of the two near me and their Denver omelette is 12.49 and looked identical to what I got from the original Harry's place. I finally stopped by Harry's a couple of weeks ago after driving past it every day--and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch. Elvira was at the front counter and was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu. She even double-checked my order to make sure everything was spot on. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and Chili Cheese Fries, and before I left, Elvira told me I'd be back after trying the food. She was absolutely right! My second visit was last week, and this time I dined in. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a welcoming atmosphere. They have TVs on as well, so you can catch whatever's playing--sports, news, or just something in the background while you enjoy your meal. Tonight marked my third visit. I went with the Taco Special--three ground beef tacos and a drink for \$11.99. I tried the soft tacos this time (last time I had the hard shell), and they tasted just like homemade. Once again, Elvira took great care of my order and made sure everything was prepared exactly how I requested. Harry's has quickly become one of my favorite spots. A perfect example of a hole in the wall place that is amazing. I lived next to this place for 4 years and I'm so mad I never tried it sooner! Their chocolate chip pancakes are some of the best I've had. Their chicken strips are definitely the best I've ever had. They had the crispiest skin but were so juicy and moist inside. Had a terrible experience I don't ever write reviews but this is frustrating, I went for a breakfast with my mother. Food came out good, but the issue was when I had ordered a chocolate milk. They brought out the milk and as I read the label the chocolate milk was expired. I had mentioned it to the server she said we'll change it out for you. Did she change it out ? yes but for another bottle that said "Milk" not chocolate milk, the seal was already cracked open. Everyone who's ever taken my order has been very sweet. The other week, I ordered in the restaurant for take out. I left without checking the order (rookie mistake) and drove off. Don't expect anything fancy here, it's just good old diner food! I'm glad this place is still in business! It's located off of Knott&GG Blvd, near the 22 frwy entrance. That said, I probably used to drive by this place hundreds of times when I lived in Garden Grove and never actually ate here. I went to their other location off of Katella because it's a little easier to drive in and out of their lot. Honestly, if you didn't go out specifically looking for them, you may never notice this place like I did. I've moved further away so don't frequent the Katella location anymore. I was near this location and finally decided to stop and order food here. My go to is their steak and eggs, so much food in one order! Prices have gone up a bit but every place has raised prices. This is still a good deal, thin ribeye steak (don't expect anything steakhouse like-but it's enough for breakfast if you're craving meat), two eggs (cooked whatever way you like), homefries (stir fried potatoes) or hash browns, toast (your choice of white or wheat) & jam. It's so nice when a place throws in all the sauces/condiments without you having to ask. For my order they gave me a container of steak sauce, ketchup, strawberry and grape jelly for the toast. Nice to see some places aren't skimping on things like this (like some other larger fast food chains).
