Ordered food and cocktails.....the Lefty's pitch hit a home run with me....apps we had the stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious. Tried the burger and cubano with fries. We have been twice. First time we went there in just to check out the vibe. We got our drinks and they were good. The seats were cozy . It was semi busy. We weren't there long the first time. I was super excited to go the second time , I love the instagram advertising they always show yummy foods and drinks on the instagram. We'll I tried to reserve a spot for a special occasion that's didn't go well. We showed up on a Saturday afternoon there were about 4 sets of people , not busy at all , we walked in no one greeted us , we tried sitting on a couch (we couldn't because it was for a group of 4) like I said not busy at all ,, so we sat at a small table. we ordered a charcuterie board (very basic) I had chicken salad/salad (no salad) pricey for chicken salad and crackers , my husband had pizza (it was basic) I guess I was super excited cause everything on Instagram made it look beyond basic. I don't have pics because once we were told we had to eat lunch at the tiny table I was just ready to leave and forgot my pics . The service and waitstaff is great!! However, the food consistency was an issue. We visited on a Saturday and ordered the small charcuterie board. We were happy with it. However, we went two days later and ordered the large charcuterie board. We got the same size board that we got on Saturday. There was no difference. We asked the waitress and she took it back. Then came back and said, "this is the large one". I read the menu back to here and mentioned it says the large one came with jam, bread, etc. The female manger got involved and was ADAMANT it was the large board and it wasn't because I showed her a picture of the small board from Saturday. I found this place by accident, as they were the only spot open at 10am on a Saturday. The ambiance is great, music was chill, bar was immaculate (one could eat off) and the view is amazing of the lake/pond/waterfront right out the window. If you would like you can even sit outside and watch the ducks, and fisherman. The food was spectacular with a stellar presentation, the cocktail was delicious, and a complementary slice of watermelon was handed out during my visit. The staff was helpful, friendly, they were busy and hustled. If you are in a rush this may not be the spot for you. I believe it is a perfect little gem to sip a cocktail, grab a snack, and enjoy the ambiance. Additionally, without a doubt this restaurant has by far the best smelling and cleanest restroom I have been to in all of Waco, TX. The restroom is one of the first places I visit in a restaurant to wash my hands. There was no lack of toiletries or puddles of water to tip-toe around. I read the reviews about children not being allowed in the restaurant after 4pm and I personally think that is an innovative idea. As I enjoy children not running about, kicking my chair, playing tag, throwing food, being obnoxious and loud; as they have been in other restaurants I have visited in Waco, TX. I came in here for brunch just to try something new, and I was genuinely surprised on how good the food was. Everything was fresh, from the coffee to the chicken and waffles I had, additionally a portable waffle bar was presented to me with a multitude of options. My bartender Bree was amazing and was quick to get my order in and make my drink. All in all it took about 15 minutes for food and drink. The food and drinks were great. The service however, was not. As the only group there you would think the THREE workers would be somewhat interested in us and hospitable. But we experienced condescending and rude behavior from the staff. Further it took over forty minutes for us to get checks on about two drinks each. We went a few weeks ago and we loved it. Our server was absolutely amazing. She made it very enjoyable. I dont remember her name, it was a unique name that started with an A. The other servers and manager did come by to check on us as well so we were well taken care of! The drinks were very good. Most of their food is smaller portions, but the margarita pizza was amazing and filling. My fiancée and I enjoyed dancing to the live music. The environment was very calming. Also asked about "happy hour" as advertised on the door and she said I dont know about happy hour, I think its 1 dollar off wine. so there were 3 people were standing around doing nothing. so the "girl" I asked to help us was talking to another "girl" and nothing happened.
