My wife 89 years old went in due to severe pain for the last 2 weeks. She thought she had a fractured rib. Turns out she has a fracture spine. I can confirm Meg C.'s claim as I've previously received a full bill for my last visit within the last two years. Pure laziness. It was evident the nurse ignored everything written in my report, if she even read it. I mentioned I had an appointment with a specialist in a couple of weeks but came in because my condition worsened. The nurse said she was "confused" and asked,"what do you mean by worsened?" She then said I could pick up my prescription of antibiotics. I asked what was she prescribing. I then asked why was she prescribing an antibiotic that I just stated didn't work for me in my report. She was about to prescribe an antibiotic that hadn't worked for me only because it was the last "round" of antibiotics shown in my Lourdes medical records. My report also stated I was placed on two other antibiotics after that which also didn't work. I also included the names and time frame these antibiotics were prescribed. I asked her to prescribe something other than what I've listed, if it is within her power. The nurse must've been offended although I assured her I wasn't trying to be offensive. A male tech entered the room afterwards and asked,"is everything ok between you and the nurse? Confused, I said,"yes, I guess." This location used to be the best in my opinion. I'd never been to this clinic before. last night I walked in with a mild head wound around 7:20 pm. There were 2 other patients in the waiting room. I was told by the staff at intake that they wouldn't help me because they close at 8 pm and she didn't want to be there all night. I chose this clinic because they advertise that they are open until 8. By the time I looked up another urgent care, it was too late to get there before closing. I will NEVER go to this place again where their clock out time takes preference over the medical care of their patrons! Shocking! read more

Second time I have been there and left extremely disappointed. First time My 1 year old was crying uncontrollably for hours and they refused to treat him unless I wore a mask but didn't have a mask to give me....the nurse enforcing this did not have on a mask, she had her shoes off and feet up on the desk behind the front counter. Two people walked in afterwards, MASKLESS, and were accepted into the treatment area. I WAS LIVID. Second time, I waited an hour an half to be seen with only 2 people in waiting area before me. Once I was swabbed for Strep I had to poke my head out 30 minutes later to ask if my results were ready. All of the nurses/doctors were watching a football game and sitting down. I was then not prescribed anything as my test was negative. I call the next day because I am still in pain in my ear/throat and was told they can not call anything in for me unless I return and wait again to be seen. WTF read more

This urgent care charged me $229 saying that my insurance did not cover the costs at the time of the appointment and then still charged my insurance saying I only payed the 50 dollar copay. When I called wondering why my insurance was charged they told me it was covered and they made a mistake and would refund it. It is a month and a half later I called again checking if the money was being refunded and they told me they normally don't refund extra charges unless people complain multiple times. Essentially this urgent care double charged me and was not going to refund my money until I called three times and got my insurance involved. VERY upset with this Urgent Care. My nephew was sick and I researched which place had x-rays and COVID-19 tests in his area. They refused to do a COVID test on him (because they use the crappy Abbott tests which only have a 45% accuracy rate and are no longer going to be manuf?) or a Chest X-Ray but said he probably had it. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Did you know that an Urgent Care makes more money the less they do for you? I think we know what Lourdes Urgent Care's real agenda for their community is....to take their money and do the least possible to get paid. This place is a joke and I hate as a veteran I'm forced to come here during this suspension of face to face visits. I hate that this is the alternative to not having our own urgent care here locally in Lafayette. Every time I was referred here from the VA I've always had to practically beg for treatment. The staff, whoever it may be that day, always has an attitude especially when you point out you know your diagnosis and the treatment you wish to take. I thought, and believe we have a right to advocate for ourselves. Not here though. Today I seen Cher Aymond, MD who took one look and diagnosed me. Now I've been dealing with this issue, I know what it is and who I need to see. Infact when I checked in I wrote it as my cheif complaint. So I advised Cher that my PCP at the VA sent me here, we know the issue but because of COVID-19 I can't get into the VA and he's going to use this visit as my referral to the office I need to get too. Well Cher refuses and states she can fix this, there is no reason to go to the specialist.. YAYYY! I'm excited. Fine, no biggie what are you going to prescribe? She gives me a whole list of options then walks off. About five minutes later the tech walks in with discharge papers and a prescription for the items I've already told her I have at home that aren't working. What?? Then I ask to see the doctor again, she then begins to play messenger instead of asking the doctor to come back to the room. Crazy right? What happened to HIPAA? This is still something that im paying for. The doctor finally returns, of course she has an attitude this time, and immediately starts with I can't give you anything else. This is all we have. What?? Just a second ago you had a whole list now I'm being specific about what I need and asking for this false hope you gave a few minutes ago and that list has shortened to two items. That's crazy. I then proceeded to tell Cher I know there is other options because I've tried majority of them and she's like no there isn't this is all they have. Now I feel challenged, so I tell Cher even Google says there are other options. This doctor, the one who went to medical school tells me pull it up. LMAO! So I did just that. Then all of a sudden she say, "oh yeah well I can give you that.." like really why did I have to use Google to prove I'm right? Why did I have to tell you over and over again this is an ongoing issue and I've already been seen for this I know what I need and what works and where I need to go? I know the referral program at the VA expires after a while and I simply need a new referral the only issue is mine expired during COVID-19 and I can't just get one. Why couldn't Cher just listen? Here is the kicker.. brace yourself! So everyone is in a frenzy about COVID-19. Sanitize this, sanitize that, wear a mask, six feet apart... Well why are they using the same blood pressure cuff and thermometer for all the patients without sanitizing before and after use? She literally popped the same thermometer in my mouth right after testing multiple patients for COVID-19. And I asked are we going to use the same one? Yup (and I know that's what they were tested for because the daughter wanted everyone in the lobby to know they were exposed and that was messing up her vacation or something). So why have half of the lobby closed off for social distancing and then use the same thermometer on every patient. Way to go Lourdes! We're definitely raising the bar with this one. read more

Great doctors and nurses. They're very friendly but some of the staff is rude and not helpful. I called to get access to my personal documents and the First Lady I spoke to said she would email it to me (I thought weird... but ok). Call back the next day to check on the status of that and I'm told by someone else (x-ray tech I think) "Uh no you didn't call yesterday I was here all day so you didn't"... alright. I explain the situation and she does not care at all to listen to the reason for my first call but instead attempts to shut me down and tell me why it's not possible to have documents email. I understand why and I was getting irritated but I need my documents so this is just the kind of unnecessary behavior you have to deal with. read more

i went there becuse i had an accident. i struck my head with a small gash. they did not even look at the wound after taking my bp they sent me to the er. they billed me for take my bp and passing me off. i wrote a negative review on a text survey and they got upset. i received a call from ashley demanding to know why i gave a negative review. when i asked questions she got offended and terminated the call. be careful going to this place they will bill you for telling you to go to the er. oh they do put the o2 sensor on your finger and bp. they send to give to lourdes er. it does no good the er said that it was not useful information. save your money go somewhere else read more

Visited here this morning. I decided to do some volunteering yesterday with 4000 kids. This morning I have pink eye!! I may neee to rethink my next volunteer event. Anyway, this place is super clean, quiet and in a great location next to my Walgreens pharmacy. The check in process was super quick and easy. My time with the doc was very swift and to the point. He was nice and made sure he understood what I had done before diagnosing pink eye. I was in the building 20 minutes which means they are a TRUE urgent care. Thanks for that! read more

I've been here twice in the past month, once for myself and once for my 4 month old. On the first visit with the 4 month old they were not too busy. We were seen pretty quickly and spent little unnecessary time in the exam room. The second time for myself, the place was very busy (it was a heavy flu time). Despite this I felt I was seen in a timely manner and again didn't spend a lot of unnecessary time in the exam room. They got me some medicine which put me right in a couple of days. If you can't wait until your doctor opens, I would recommend this urgent care. read more

Went to get a rapid COVID test because I had been exposed in the last week. After waiting nearly 2 hours, I was told because I didn't have symptoms in the last 48 hours I couldn't get rapid test. This is incredibly organized and efficient considering the circumstances. I checked in online and the text told me exactly what time to drive over. I had food poisoning early one morning, so I missed one of my finals and needed a doctor's excuse. I told the doctor and nurse this, and I told her I had another final to get to. Ignoring me, she came back told me I HAD to take a pee test to check for some type of infection. I told her I was uncomfortable doing that and she is just doing this to make me pay for it because I didn't have insurance. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD NOT LET ME LEAVE UNTIL I DID THIS. THEN FORCED ME TO PAY AN EXTRA $50 IN COPAY. Every single staff member that works here has a bad attitude and will do anything to get you to pay them more than you have to. read more

I came in there once because my throat was so sore I couldnt even drink water. They gave me a prescription my insurance didnt cover and then it was a cough medicine. Like how is cough medicine supposed to help my throat? Then I went back and they gave me a prescription for a 70 dollar mouthwash and still no diagnosis other than upper-respiratory infection. Had to wait a month for pain to just go away on its own. They take Medicaid, and they're nice and seem like they really want to help. read more

Naturally, they are busiest on Sunday's. Any other day I've never waited longer than 10 minutes. Very comfortable, nice, and clean urgent care center. Close and ample parking is always available. All the staff here presents 5 star service . They are very welcoming and nice; making a visit here very relaxed and non stressful. The nurses and doctors are in the room with you for more time than you spend waiting in the room on a doctor. They spend as much time with you as you need to get all your questions answered and feeling better. They never rush in and out of the room, they never rush when treating you, they never rush when talking and answering questions. Overall the best experience I've had for an urgent care center. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was very friendly and Dr Castille was informative and didn't seem to rush through as most doctors do. There was only one person ahead of me in line, and I was called back within 5 minutes of signing in. New and clean facility. I would recommend this facility to others. read more

I went there on Saturday April 4, 2015 and was very displeased. When the doctor came in to check on me, she seemed rushed. After she quickly examined me, she asked me if I wanted a shot, and I told her yes. After my answer she started rattling off a whole bunch of medications to me, I had trouble keeping up with her. She then gave me two prescriptions and walked out. Never told me what was wrong with me. When the nurse came in to give me the shot, I asked her if she knew what was wrong with me and she looked on the paperwork and told me that I had acute sinusitis with a cough. She gave me a shot and I was released. On Monday, my sickness was worse then it was on Saturday, I ended up going to my regular doctor. While he was examining me, I told him about my experience and showed him the medication that I was given and he told me to stop taking them because they was not doing me any good. I told him that they diagnosed me with acute sinusitis and he told me that I had very little sinus problems but I did have a severe case of bronchitis. If the doctor would of examined me correctly maybe she would of caught that. That visit was a waste of my time and money. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more
