The vehicle was brought in solely to address a washer line issue. No authorization was given for additional repairs or labor beyond inspecting and fixing the windshield washer system. Despite this, your shop completed other work and refused to release my vehicle until I paid the full amount. This is a direct violation of New Hampshire RSA 358-A:2 and related automotive repair disclosure laws, which require customer authorization prior to performing repairs. As stated in your website: Trust, Service, and Satisfaction--Guaranteed. I believe your website also boasts the mantra "EVERY JOB IS PERSONAL". Well, this 'guarantee' and 'personal work' did not occur and in order to stay true to your motto, I am seeking a refund for work that was never requested or disclosed before a bill was provided to me. He claimed he had keys but not to the alarm so could not get in. Said the manager was on vacation and the district manager was supposed to coordinate someone to open. We decided to leave the car and get a coffee down the street. When we returned around 9:30 the same guy said he has yet to hear from anyone. When I arrived I noticed that my slashed tire was still on the car. I went in and explained the issue, and they immediately took action. A simple mistake of doing the wrong tire. NOT SO FAST OLD MAN! The good folks at Sullivan told me the tire couldn't be repaired because the screw was too close to the sidewall. What they didn't know is that I knew exactly where the screw was. It was well within the tread. But they REALLY wanted to help with my problem, and offered to sell me one tire, for nearly $400. Installed I assume, or maybe not. So, I took my leak elsewhere. Got it repaired for $40 and made a friend. The man has been in the tire business for decades, and just shook his head when I told him the story. Here's the thing: I never begrudge a man a day's pay, but do not try to take advantage of me. I'm too old and I worked too f***ing hard for my pension to get porked because the rubber merchants had a slow day. Sullivan Tire will reply, bleating their side of the story. And that's fine.
