Stopped in for an estimate on my mother's car that had paint transfer on it. The gentleman came out looked at it and said I'll be right back. He came back with a couple of cloths and a spray bottle. I have been going there a few years now for regular maintance and service and they go out of their way to explain all that needs to be done in a way that I can understand them ( not being a auto gouro). They are fair as far as pricing and do there best to service you in a timely manor. read more

Owner will try to talk you out of using your insurance, provide an estimate that is lower than your final cost and say "well you can get to that number by paying cash" (not a check or money order though, clearly doesn't want to pay taxes). Bought the wrong part for my repair and then said it would cost $1000 more. Said to stop the work but then they did it anyway. Dishonest, terrible business. read more

If it was possible to give this place a zero out of five stars, I would. I went in for a quote and had pictures taken in November. The guy that did my quote was extremely rude and kept explaining to me that the damage on my car was something that was already there and it wasn't something that they were going to fix. As if they would know my car better than me. Once I finally got that argument out of the way, he told me the quote wouldn't be done until the next day and I would call him after class since I am in college. On my way to school I got a call from them but it went to voicemail since I didn't answer it in time. So I called them back, the guy that took my quote answered the phone and I told him who I was. He replies with "yeah you told me you weren't going to call me back until after class so why are you calling me now". I explained that I got a call not that long ago so I was calling back, mistakes happen and they called me too early or something. I wasn't too worried about it but he continued to give me attitude and I wasn't having it. I should have brought my car somewhere else just from that conversation but my car needed to be fixed so I set it up to be brought in on December 9th. About a week before it was supposed to be dropped off, I got a funny feeling that something was wrong so I gave them a call. Turns out they fired the guy that took my quote and they only had about half the pictures he took, he didn't file my quote with my insurance company, and didn't have my appointment there because he didn't do anything right the first time, despite being so rude. You would think somebody so full of themselves would know how to do their job right. The manager took over my claim and helped me get everything sorted since I had two claims. I dropped my car off a week later and I thought everything was going to be okay, they told me 10 business days to fix the car. The 10 business days were supposed to be over on December 20th, when I still hadn't received a call, I called back on the 26th to see what was going on. Turns out one of the parts that they ordered came in broken and had to wait for another one. Instead of calling me about this, they decided to keep me out of the loop and not inform me. I was told next monday by the latest ma'am and if not wednesday absolute latest. Well when I still hadn't received a call by wednesday, I gave them a call and discovered they were closed. So I called back on thursday, explained the situation, and was told "oh well I finally found your file, your car has been done since tuesday. Nobody informed me (the manager) that it was done". Well maybe get your filing system in order and communicate with each other because that's not my problem. I asked if I can come pick up my car tonight since I wouldn't be there until about 4 o'clock. They told me not to worry. I dropped off my rental, got a ride over to colony, paid my deductible, was given the keys, but stopped before I left. When I asked why, they informed me that the rear end hadn't been paid for yet and they would actually need my keys back. I asked them why they didn't inform me of this sooner cause it was made to seem on the phone that it was all taken care of but my deductible. They didn't have an answer for me other than "I legally can't let the car leave, that is bad business". I called my insurance company to let them know what was going on and my agent was confused because Colony reported to them that I actually picked the car up on the 26th and returned the rental the next day. Which was obviously very wrong but I was able to get this sorted out. So I was put into another rental and I returned on Tuesday to pick up my car. When I informed colony of this, they even admitted to doing that because "of the way their books are" but they will sort it all out so it is right with the insurance company. If nobody has been to colony before, they close from 12:30- 1:30 (entire building and operation shut down) for lunch. Have you never heard of rotating your lunches? Maybe if you are "so far behind on cars", don't shut down for a complete hour and not rotate lunches to get more work done. Anyways. I arrived at 12:22, walked up to the door at 12:24 to discover the door was locked with the sign already up saying they were going to lunch. Mind you, all they had to do was give me my keys. When I knocked on the door, I had a guy look at his watch to try and signal to me the time. At this point, after everything they have put me through, I put my phone up to the window to inform them that it was actually only 12:25. Somebody opened the door for me and everybody in the office rolled their eyes because apparently they need that extra 5 minutes so bad for lunch. I explained that I only needed my keys and to give them the rental keys. I was given attitude and looks by everybody else in the shop, except the guy that opened the door for me. He told me to come in and he would take care of me. I said "No actually, I will just come read more

Did a wonderful job on my 2010 Volvo. Some parts had to be shipped in so it took a bit extra time, but well worth the wait. Took my car right in, handled all insurance info smoothly, and gave the car back to me cleaner than I left it! Quality of repair is immaculate, especially for a foreign. Overall very pleased, only complaint is the woman on the phone led me to believe it would be complete a day prior to when it really was, so maybe improve communication for 100% customer satisfaction. I cannot say enough great things about Colony Auto. My mom had an accident and needed a repair on her Subaru Outback. Colony was able to fit her in quickly and made it very easy for her regarding working with her insurance. At the time the work was completed, there was a huge blizzard forecasted and Colony was gracious to keep mom's car for a few extra days due to the storm. When we picked up the car, the service was amazing - the car was beautifully repaired, and spotless. The staff went to get it to bring it to the front door so mom didn't have to walk across the parking lot. It was such a great experience and, although we hope there are no more accidents (!) we wouldn't hesitate to use Colony again. read more

I stopped. by Colony to get an estimate having the front bumper damage repaired on my 2014 CRV. John, the owner came out and looked at it. He offered to punch out the damage at no charge but was willing to order a new part if I wanted to do that. JB, one of the experts at the shop, used a heat gun and with John's help, was able to pop out the dent. They refused to take any money or even a tip. I am so thankful for their kindness. This was my second experience at Colony as they had done a fantastic job refurbishing my husband's F150 a couple of years ago. I will never hesitate to recommend them to my friends. Aunt revived Awful body work. Full of scratches and they painted it the wrong color!! Boss will make every excuse in the book for POOR WORK. Verbally abusive owner. Save your family the headache!!! I recently had to work with Colony Auto with an insurance claim to my car. The next day after filing my claim, Bernie, who I believe is the owner contacted me and explained pretty much everything that I needed to know on the process and promised to have my car picked up and have a quote within a few days (the day afterwards we were expecting over 2 feet of snow so this was no small feat.) he was very courteous and professional. The communication between the entire process was great, I was kept in the know of everything, he also gave me a few pieces of advice as far as my rental coverage with my insurance company. I truly feel that he wanted to be as helpful as possible. And I really needed help because I've never had to use my insurance before so I was clueless. He was very kind. He quoted that my car would be done on a certain day as long as the parts came in when expected (again, massive snow storms) and wouldn't you know? My car was done right on time and it's never looked as good as it does now since I got it brand new! I would highly recommend Colony Auto for anyone who needs body work done and if you want to work with professional, nice and genuine folks.
