As you make your way around the shop be sure to look everywhere- up, down on the floor, on various shelves, bookcases, benches- you name it, it's covered in items for sale! They are dog lovers, bird lovers and even have fostered kittens in this shop! Prices vary- I know a little about antiques to know a good deal, but usually end up buying art instead of antiques here! They have even had some pottery pieces that my mom collected in the 80's- I almost bought last time I was in. But, that's mom's style and not actually mine. Hanging out here has become a pleasurable service as much as just going to a bar to have a drink with friends. I've learned a great bit and I'm eager to learn and listen to more. Many jazz records and other genre. Inside there was a good deal of record memorabilia. I have about 6 boxes of vinyls and a working turntable. Just needs a little love and maybe a new needle. I feel inspired and may come back here to add to my collection. It's great to have a turntable when wifi goes out! Also, there is just something magical and nostalgic about vinyls.

We happened to be out that way today so we were excited to stop in at the store again for the first time in a while. They're open on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. The thing about Joe (the owner) is that he knows his stuff with respect to pressings but he doesn't over price anything. He also grades records VERY accurately in my experience. I have never bought an LP and felt like I overpaid which quite frankly, is a miracle in today's vinyl market. We picked up Whitney Houstons debut LP while we were there today along with The Jacksons Live.

This store is in the area of the Town Center. It's always clean with many employees to answer any…read morequestions. 2nd & Charles is mostly a used book store but it is also a lot more. The books here are mostly in brand new condition and sold at a heavily discounted price. Books from travel to cook books to novels to almost anything you can think of are available. If you have collectors to buy for they have a huge collection of Funko Pops to choose from. They also have old and new comic books with many used comic books only selling for a dollar or two each. A few packs of unopened sports card packs are for sale and don't leave the store without a pack of Jelly Bellies which are usually kept by the registers. On this visit they also had many holiday gift ideas on a few of the displays. Fun place to look at stuff and buy things you need or things you didn't know you need. Check it out because it's a fun place or just a place to pick out a new book.
