My initial appointment at Winnie was in April but it got pushed to May and then again to June, which was really disappointing. However, Abegail at Winnie Couture contacted me to let me know they were doing virtual appointments with brides to get the process started. I took her up on her offer and I loved being able to see the dresses we had picked out together based on my style preferences. I was able to narrow it down to 3 dresses from that virtual appointment alone! I was finally able to go into Winnie in June and Abegail made sure I had the best experience ever. I was the only bride there, which made the whole experience very personal - not to mention their space is gorgeous. I fell in love with one of the dresses, but there were a couple of changes/additions I wanted to make. Although Abegail didn't have the answers or prices at that moment in time, she promised she would find out and let me know (which she did very promptly). I still had another appointment to go to and I was feeling anxious about making a decision. Not once did I feel pressured by Abegail, and she even recommended I get all of my appointments out of the way so that I didn't feel any regrets. After all of my appointments, I could not stop thinking about that dress at Winnie. Abegail helped me set up another appointment so that I could show the dress to my mom, and it was even better than the first time I went! It felt like I had known Abegail forever, and the whole experience felt so special. Again, I did not feel pressured or rushed at any point to make a decision, which might be what made my decision so easy! I finally said yes to the dress and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I HIGHLY recommend Winnie Couture for anyone looking for a special and stress free shopping experience - kudos to Abegail for making me feel special despite the challenging circumstances surrounding COVID-19!

The reason for dropping this down to 2 stars was due to the very negative experience I had with the tailor (Maria of VIP Couture Bridal Alterations) they highly recommended. Going above a recommendation, without asking me they actually pre-coordinated that Maria to come to the bridal shop as I picked up my dress so she could perform the initial fitting there and take it back with her to begin working on it. I had trusted them up to this point, so continued to trust their insistence on working with Maria. Although Maria had 7 weeks, my dress never fit correctly, and the whole thing wasn't completed until the night (10 pm drop off) before I left for my wedding. The delays and uncertainty caused me tremendous stress the week before my wedding, to the point that I was losing sleep and searching for backup dresses. My last fitting lasted over two hours because I had to stay and watch her finish the work. I believe she had taken on too many clients, and unfortunately, I ended up being the one who suffered for it. I do definitely recommend Winnie Bridal as place to search for your dress, but do not recommend using their references for other services. We hired Mr. Becker and his team to plan our 180-person wedding. Working with them proved…read morefrustrating and required constant oversight from us. Key issues: Chronic Disorganization: there were many times where Becker had the wrong time, location, or other details for a meeting we had with them or a vendor. Or they would fail to pass along important information to or from the vendor. We had to constantly police that. Mr. Becker gave wrong ceremony cues taken from his team's own incorrect notes, and there was poor or no communication when things were running behind schedule during the event (due to Becker and their recommended vendors, not us.) Not Proactive or Reliable: We had to chase them for updates, confirmations, and corrections to ensure things got done correctly, on time, or at all. Mr. Becker assured us they would get most of the planning done before our trip out of town, but they didn't. We then asked to get it done at least a week before the wedding so we could enjoy time with family from out of town. They failed there too. Vendor Issues: Instead of the multiple vendor options promised, we were almost always steered to one "preferred" vendor. Several of them also under-delivered (wrong food items served, late deliveries, etc.). Botched Execution: Becker put far more decor at the ceremony site than we asked for. We gave out framed photos at the wedding, but Becker's team got frames that were too big for the photos. The cake was placed directly under a heater and was brought out much later than we asked for. Guest favors were placed in the wrong location so most of the guests never saw them. I could go on and on. Because of all the above, our planning process and day of involvement were much more stressful and involved than they should've been. On top of that, Becker was *very* expensive - 50%-100% more than comparable planners we researched. In the end, the wedding was beautiful in spite of these issues, not because the planning and execution was smooth. If you want a planner that you can count on, look elsewhere.

We were less than 8 weeks from our wedding date, without a venue, with more than 150 Save the Dates sent out, and uncertain if we would even be able to have any kind of ceremony in the midst of a pandemic, let alone whether that ceremony would put our family and closest friends at risk.
