Most innovative and scrumptious taco combinations globally inspired that you'll ever taste in one cafe. We loved the Mediterranean, Vietnamese, Hawaiian and Korean tacos and will be back for the Mexican and Thai. With any taco loaded with veggies and pickled onions you can select your choice of protein - chicken, shrimp, ahi tuna, pork, tempeh or tofu. These tacos would taste scrumptious without protein. Protein just takes it up a notch. Make sure to get the house made spicy habanero sauce to take it up an extra notch too. Nachos, poke and noodle bowls Cocktails, beer, and tequila. We are Portland foodies visiting Hood River looking for great eateries! We love this place! Love and Harminy loves making tacos served up in a very contemporary cozy and convivial space for a meet up. Service is excellent!

Best marg was the NA marg, nice and citrus/spicy. Lemon Lavender marg was good too, on the sweet end of the spectrum.

Honestly, everything was excellent but the NA marg with tajin rim and the queso were both so good that I had to write a review. I got a meal with Vietnamese (shrimp) and Korean (pulled pork). The Vietnamese taco was suuuper good, flavorful mayo. Had to get past the idea of rice on a taco and then enjoyed myself thoroughly. The pulled pork didn't match the flavors of the Korean taco as well; I think next time I'd get tuna on the Korean taco. The servers were quick and friendly, and the space had fun decorations and efficient, though small, layout.

    Watermelon drink.... Was okay

Good way great! Service was awesome! Nice atmosphere! Travis were a bit smaller than expected for approx. $6 each.... But ignoring the price, the tacos were delicious and the question was very tasteful!

I love this taco place! I have tried the Tex-Mex (pork), Korean (ahi), and Thai (ahi) tacos. The Tex-Mex is my favorite...LOVE the queso topping. Korean is my second fav. Definitely order the "meal" and try the queso and chips if so inclined. The chips are lovely. Hubby had the Hawaiian taco...thought the pork was amazing...but the pineapple was lackluster. (He loves pineapple...so is a bit picky). He would give it a 4 star. Small shop - not a lot of space - but enough to chomp down a taco and go! Cute decor. Love the sentiments displayed. Friendly service - they seem like they really care about your experience. Will definitely go again - and try other things.

Probably the best (saucy and bold) tacos I have had in a long time. Hawaiian tuna and Korean shrimp both packed a punch. Poke bowl was refreshing and fresh. N/a marg was spot on as well. Service was friendly and food came quick. The whole place was packed while we were there around 1 or 2 but tables opened up pretty quickly.

Came here with friends for dinner and honestly it was okay. I wish I had gotten the poke bowl because the tacos all had way too much rice in them and over powered any of the other fillings. The service was nice and the ambiance was very laid back. The cocktails were delicious but I'd probably pass on tacos and opt for the poke bowl next time.

Ambiance: 8/10 super cute, fun and hipster. Service: 9/10 they were so patient with me as it took me forever to decide what taco to get. They were so kind delivering the food and asking about our experience. Food 8.5/10 they season their tortillas. GENIUS! All the different tacos we had were absolutely delicious, loved how they were all different types of cuisines and yet the flavors were spot on! Also good price for portions. I WILL BE BACK!

Great first impression! Reviews sounded intriguing so we dropped by this weekend to try. Cute restaurant...small, but well laid out and clean. Counter service was extremely friendly and welcoming, prices fair. We each ordered a two taco plate, which includes a side of chips and dip. The queso was yummy, as was the green salsa option (although a tad spicy). We tried the Korean, Tex-Mex, and Hawaiian. All the tacos were great. Stuffed full of fresh ingredients with very unique and tasty flavors. The restaurant impressed. Great first visit...we are ready for a second.

Very satisfying meal, love the queso.

Both the Hawaiian with ahi and Louisiana with shrimp were tasty. Opt for the combo because the queso and flash fried chips are excellent. The only sub optimal experience is that tacos are top-loaded with the yummy ingredients so it falls apart after the first bite. The tortilla isn't soft or hard, but kinda "chewy" so bite into it hard or you'll have a mess. The counter person was super nice. Good vibe all around and prices are fair.

Wow this place was so nice. The customer service was absolutely amazing, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome, made sure to give us a table and made sweet small talk making us feel at home. The margaritas were so good and refreshing, the house and cucumbers were both so good! As well as the Tex mex taco & Hawaiian were so good. I loved we chose this place, so good and nice vibes, would come back :-)

The interior of the restaurant is so cool and funky!! I split the nachos with someone and they were very yummy. Staff was very friendly and service was fast. So glad I came here!

For the price my biggest complaint is there's a lot of rice and garnish as a filler for the tacos, I'd like a little more protein.

The vibe remains great, the staff remain friendly, and the food remains delicious. The queso in particular deserves an award.

Where is the food truck located? Directions point me to the city but pictures show you on the water.

Hello Catherine! We used to be a food cart located at the Hood River Event Site every summer. We have now moved in to a brick and mortar at 112 Oak Street Unit A. We are across from Andrew's Pizza and next to Whiskey Tango. Hope to see you soon!

There's always something with this place! So, tonight, after a 10 hour shift on a Sunday, I catch…read moreup to a birthday party in progress for my youngest girl's day care provider, who just turned 60. I'm over an hour late. Everyone else is already finishing up their drinks and meals. Wanting just one drink after a long day, I head to the bar! My wife asks me to get her one too. Here's where it gets bizarre. Kickstand has a bar...well, it looks like a bar. But what I found out is that it's just for looks because it doesn't act like a bar. I thought ordering two cocktails and paying for my drinks would be easy, like it is at every bar in town. But the bartender, I mean employee standing behind a bar, asked if I was with the large group. I stated, "yes, I was." Then she proceeded to tell me that the drinks would be on someone's tab. But I showed up late...I don't know what's happening. I don't know who's paying for the "tab". I just wanted to buy two drinks and walk away. But that wasn't allowed at Kickstand. Then another employee walks up and attempts to take my drink order. Super confused, I tell her the employee standing behind the bar just took my drink order. And then we proceeded down the tab conversation again. The second employee said because "we" were a party of 8 or more, I couldn't pay for my own drinks and I they would have to put it on the party's tab. But again, I don't know who owns the tab. If it was the woman having the birthday, I didn't want to add to her bill...on her birthday. Then they suggested I "could just Venmo" the party girl. No! I want to just order two drinks and have Kickstand take my money. Why wouldn't they just take my money?! The place was dead tonight, other than the 5 or so small daycarel families, sitting at their own tables, that made up the "party". I canceled my drink order and walked away out of protest and principal. When asked if I was with the big party, I should have said no I guess. Lesson leaned for next time, if there is a next time. Kickstand, you're so difficult and frustrating!!
