Used to visit their food truck when I was craving a legit street taco. So happy to see they now have a brick and mortar. Food is still spot on! You pay at the counter and then sit where you want. The burritos are exceptional, so flavorful and filling. usually I save half for the next day. The street tacos are still my go to. choice of meat with chopped onion and lots of fresh cilantro, lime wedge always included. simple, but so satisfying. Located on 12th in the shopping plaza in the Heights (Rosauer, Tilly Janes) it's super convenient to stop here for a quick dinner or pick up something delicious to go. They even have a few small tables on the sidewalk.

I started coming to El Cuate when it was a food truck and gave a positive review. When they opened their restaurant I found the food just as good. I like their tacos and Jose's Torta. Service is simple - order, pay, sit down eat and bus your own table. And the price is fair. Ambiance is simple, too, and clean. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants that I come back to regularly.

Food is six stars for authentic, delicious, and authentic reasonably-priced Mexican Food. We had the nachos with Birria. They were awesome. We also had some fish tacos with hand made corn tortillas, also awesome. The ambience is strip mall joint, so don't go for the setting, go for the food. Service is fast and portions are generous.

The homemade tortillas hit hard here! My two favorites were the al pastor and the fish tacos. Pura Gasolina!

They have really good Mexican food here. I'm so glad that they have a sit down place, because their food truck is amazing.

Jose''s Torta is always amazing, the tacos are excellent; and surprisingly, they have one of the best burgers in Hood Rive

We ended up coming back the next day without hesitation for 2 days of tacos in a row and I'd return in a heartbeat if ever back in Hood River. These tacos are addictive! With their mix-and-match fusion menu, your taco of choice can really taste any way you like. The Hawaiian taco with grilled shrimp was my favorite, but I also enjoyed their Thai taco with chicken. I wish I could have tried all of them as everything featured good, fresh ingredients. Don't skip the drinks here either. I usually avoid cocktails but they offered to make their frozen margarita spicy for me and I couldn't resist -- fantastic! The service was over-the-top amazing. This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter, seat yourself with a number, and wait for your food to be delivered. Service at such establishments is usually pretty perfunctory, but not at Love & Hominy. The servers are all super friendly and seem genuinely enthusiastic to be working in their restaurant. That in itself says a lot. As mentioned, this place is casual but still fun and eclectic. While eating your tacos in-house, check out the wall on the entrance side. It's pretty entertaining to look at.

The safe vegan option that killed me my husband were the Vietnamese. I got the Vietnamese taco and Vietnamese Bahn Mí bowl - I enjoyed all of it. Fun delicious, however, at $6/taco?! Not worth it. Severely overpriced.

Their beer flights come with 6 pours each and it's served in a tall sail (or sharkfin?) shaped tower, each choice is labeled so you know what you're drinking. Their burger with bacon tomato jam was a 10/10! So much flavor and the bun was fresh and lightly buttered and toasted (this really takes it up a notch!). The meat was very tender and lots of flavor (tasted high quality). It's served with a heaping order of fries (or you can upcharge it for $2 and do salad, soup or sweet potato fries). Their chicken wings were tender and came off the bones easily while still having crispy edges. Perfection. After a swim in the river across the street, this place is a chill spot for good food, beer and service. They have indoor seating with views and outdoor seating as well. Inside was nice and cool on a hot day. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

My husband has been here before but it was my first time. I was craving a burger and this place does not disappoint. The burger patty was thick and juicy and cooked to perfection. The cheddar cheese and bacon on the burger made it next level. My husband really enjoyed his burger and beer as well. When we arrived, there was indoor and outdoor seating available. We decided to sit inside, please be aware that it might be a bit cold depending where the air vent is located in conjunction to where you're sitting. The service was okay. My husband ordered his burger with bacon but it didn't come with bacon. However, we were charged for the bacon on his burger.
