I KNOW, RIGHT?!! That's crazy. I thought they had everything, but now they really do! I took my first class at Dig Gardens: it was to make a Kokedama (a plant growing out of a moss ball that you can hang or place). It was taught by Kitty, whom I adore because, well, she's the sweetest. I picked a Lemon Lime Prayer Plant, named it "Stanley", and had to rework it several times to a point that it was almost embarrassing. Thankfully I know the instructor, so that made it better. Haha. The other "students" were awesome because aren't all plant parents and plant lovers the best?!! Well we all laughed when we lost leaves or messed up. It was really fun. This class included all the materials, tools, your choice of plant, and drinks (water or wine). No one surprisingly chose wine - I guess we took Kokodama very seriously! It was a 2 hour class but finished in 1.5 hours. It was around $65 I believe, and totally worth the experience as well as all the materials. Classes take place behind the store in a little workshop in the outdoor garden. Only a couple people took the class with a friend, and everyone else took it solo, like me. I would definitely take another class here.

The large blocks of flowers and plants rotate frequently and pop with color and texture. Their plants are hearty and well cared for and are vibrant and healthy long after home planting. They offer plenty of attractive drought tolerant/resistant plants and are always well stocked with the basics or have them on hand for order. The nursery's enthusiasm for modern cutting-edge plant and flower varieties is evident; even most of their everyday shrubs surprise me with unexpected blooms or variegation. They also offer some of the coolest ferns and are always stocking or growing something innovative and new. It is always a treat to take a stroll and see whats new. My mom has been coming to this place for years, and for good reason! The space is huge, and they have a ton of options! Everything from plants, to fruits and veggies, to water features, sculptures, and more! There is a wonderful gift shop with anything you could want for your garden to help plants grow or keep animals away. They have all kinds of fun gifts and trinkets for the garden and around the house! I wrote a nice review about this place after the first time I went several years ago, but it undoubtedly deserves an update. I have been several times since my first visit, and love it every time! The owner, Gustavo, is a true gem. He is friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking, and an overall joy to interact with. He greets everyone with a huge smile, and is always happy to answer questions and help. He works seven days a week most weeks, and is truly passionate about what he does. This past weekend, they hosted their 17th Annual Christmas Open House. This event features live music, local wine, hot chocolate and cider, and homemade pastries by Gustavo's wife herself! They transform the gift shop into a winter wonderland, featuring around a dozen decorated Christmas trees among other festive decorations! People are encouraged to bring pastries to share, and they definitely did! There was a huge table with cookies, cakes, pies, and more! They also help collect donations for the local food bank by offering a discount on your purchase if you bring a bag of canned or non-perishables. We attended this event on Friday the 6th, and it was a lovely experience! The vibes were amazing, sipping wine and cider listening to live music by some fire pits.
