I've been a loyal customer between locations for nearly a decade. I'm disappointed and upset that…read moreat this point, I've lost any semblance of trust for them and cannot leave my animals with them. Twice in the last several months, my dog has been injured by other dogs. The first time she ended up with a hole in her ear from a bite, which they called and informed me about. I went to get her and she was oddly in good spirits but has a gnarly tooth hole in the tip of her ear. I monitored overnight and cleaned her up, since emergency vet visits after-hours are costly and the injury wasn't life-threatening. We lucked out in that instance, and I wish that was the end. Maybe it should've been for me, but I know dogs will be dogs. It bothered me, and I ignored a gut instinct telling me it could've been avoided by better temperament monitoring etc. I wish I'd listened. January 2025: the long and short of it is that at pickup time the excited dogs tend to go bananas and cluster by the door. Apparently not one but TWO dogs got aggressive in this moment when my dog was being jumped on and signaled with a 'yelp' that she wasn't a happy camper...and the other two dogs involved (daycare's details, given to me from camera review) did not appreciate it; one left a tooth gouge so deep in my dogs back that it actually looked like a long, gaping incision - that we had to take her and our other dog in tow immediately to the emergency vet where she was sedated and required surgical care and 2-3 weeks of follow ups, stitch removal, and for me to take several days off of work to monitor and nurse her to a comfortable point so I could return. $1000.00 later, I've now asked them several times via email for what my recourse options were. No acknowledgement. What's worse is the acknowledgements I did get avoid addressing those comments or concerns, and are simply "Ok great thanks for keeping us posted!" They'd only reply with their best wishes for my dog, and that they'd make sure the other two dogs weren't in open play with mine - plus a "warning." Conveniently, no acknowledgement of my concerns about the financial hardship or questions about what my next steps were. I read the fine print in my liability with them on day one: you are responsible for any costs or repercussions of property damage, injury, etc. caused by your pets and Dogtopia was not. Which is fine, I signed it with full knowledge that could happen; dogs will be dogs. I had to put this issue on hold for a bit as the winter was not kind to us circumstantially. Now it's time to see if my dogs are ready for daycare again and some grooming, and things have calmed a bit so I could give this my attention yet again. 4/23/25 I sent a final email to them about it, and not shockingly at all, zero reply or acknowledgement. At least, not until I asked a very direct question - which I will get to momentarily. Initially I wanted to ensure that 1) the dogs who were warned would not be in open play with mine, so I wanted to warn them we were coming so they could be especially mindful (as you can imagine, my paranoia is in high amounts all things considered) and 2) if I could inquire about how to contact the two other dog owners to discuss the costs of the injuries further. I was quickly told no, they don't share pet parent info. I replied and said well, I read your liability rules you made me sign and they say that pet parents are solely responsible for the consequences and costs of their dogs damage or injury. So how do you expect me to accomplish that if you won't give me that info to make contact? It's now been a week, well past the reasonable time to reply to an email, so I can only deduce that yet again I am being ghosted and I'm done trying to remedy this with people insistent on being unprofessional and avoidant. I suppose I will have to take further recourse against the daycare if they won't follow their own policies. This is deeply saddening that I've spent probably in the thousands of dollars in 10 years just to lose this option for my girls. And to be treated like a casual afterthought when if I were the recipient of that last email, I'd at least sense the importance of a reply nonetheless maybe involving someone of actual authority and tenure there to help manage my request. Make no mistake, it will be settled as I don't intend to shrug it off. I just wish it didn't have to be the hard way, as I've had enough of that all things considered. I don't want to tell other consumers "stay away!" because that's not my place. But this has been my experience.

We were told that the two dogs were playing and then the other dog became aggressive and attacked our dog, biting him around his ear, causing profuse bleeding and severe damage. After we rushed over to pick up our dog to take him to the vet, we later received a call from the General Manager who stated that when a staff member tried to stop the attack, she was then bitten by our dog who was still under attack. She stated that their protocol is to call Animal Control when a dog bites a human and that our dog would need to be quarantined for 10 days. When we spoke with Animal Control, they said they were not given the entire story and were unaware that our dog was under attack at the time of the alleged bite of a staff member. To date, Dogtopia Gainesville has refused to provide a written Incident Report or any video footage of what happened between the two dogs and what happened when the staff member tried to intervene. Our next step will be to contact the Corporate Office to get a better understanding as to why we have not received a written Incident Report and video footage of what happened.

Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!

Brandi & Perry were amazing! Highly recommend working with them…read more We adopted a one year old mixed breed, Tuck, a few months ago. He's very sweet but started to get rambunctious to the point that my remote work felt challenging. He also started jumping or freezing when he saw other dogs on walks, and he occasionally barked or growled and men. We weren't sure if it was the start of aggressive behavior or just the result of a shelter dog that hasn't been exposed. After doing our research, we decided to do the 3 week behavior modification board and train program. We were really impressed from beginning to end. They shared a ton of information upfront, walked us through their facility (we opted to drop him off) and sent pictures and updates every evening. It became clear right away that they both have a very deep understanding of dogs, as well as a real respect and love for them. Tuck loved them! The best part was the "transition" day when Perry brought Tuck back and spent the day teaching us everything they've worked on together. We are first time dog owners so generally going in pretty blind. Perry gave us a 101 on dogs and the importance of clear and consistent communication. He talked through all of the layers of training and how/why it is effective. We felt this part was SO helpful for us to understand how to be better owners. Then we walked Tuck around the neighborhood with Perry guiding us and then spent time addressing indoor behaviors too. He was flexible and stayed until we felt comfortable with everything. This is a long review so the TLDR: finding a trainer is a big decision and investment so we wanted to get it right. Brandi & Perry were really incredible and beyond our expectations!! Truly worth every penny! Tuck has been doing really great at home and outside since being home. I've been able to work full days with him holding "place" on his cot, which would have been unheard of before!

After I had made an appointment for boarding for 9 days (he'd be in a little room with a window to the outside) I decided to look for a sitter. I do not feel comfortable hiring any one of the (seems like) hundreds of teens or young adults that gig as a pet sitter; I was looking for a company that has experience and a good reputation. I thought the name of the company was odd, but I sent an email to the owner and she responded instantly and when I told her about my cat's issues she said she had the perfect "cat whisperer" for me. Done Deal! They came over for a meet and greet, we agreed to the terms and that was it! I left written instructions; the cat sitter checked in with me to confirm the start date. Every day I got a report (sometimes twice a day) and a report about what my little "angel" was up to. It was comforting to be so far away knowing he was being well cared for, personality and all. Best part, upon my return, everything was neat and clean- even in the litter room, so no messes for me to recover from. Thanks MMDP for helping me with dear George. I'll be calling on your services anytime I need a sitter for the precious little guy. Also of note, this company doesn't put you through an interrogation just to get an appointment, you don't need codes and lockboxes, and the prices were very reasonable. Thanks guys- you are the best!
