Words cannot express how much I appreciate Meghan and her team (and especially my regular sitter Carrie) for the excellent care of my two kitties,Tia and Toby. I moved to Gainesville in 2017. My job responsibilities involve frequent out of town travel and my girl Tia required daily meds, so I really needed someone I could trust. Additionally my husband is not fond of my cats and is very particular about having "strangers" in the house, so that was another obstacle to overcome. The first cat sitter I found only came once or twice, i wasn't feeling that she was taking the best care of them. The second one i had was very good and I trusted her, but she ended up quiting because of my husband's complaints over small things. Totally panicked and needing to travel again soon,  I searched and found Meghan's Pet Care - and I'm so fortunate and thankful to have found her. Meghan was responsive, professional, patient, and reasonably priced. On short notice, they came out and met my kitties and picked up the key. Carrie became my regular pet sitter and she took EXCELLENT care of my babies. She sent me pics of them frequently and always texted me when she went to the house to let me know status. I could rest easy knowing my babies were in good hands under her care. It was a breath of fresh air having someone I could trust. One weekday morning my husband called to tell me Tia didn't look well at all. I called Meg and she got Carrie to go to the house promptly. She told me Tia was emaciated and needed to go to the vet. She promptly took her in and kept me updated, picked her up later that day, and took Tia home with her that evening to keep an eye on her. She sent me pics that night of Tia snuggling with her kids - me being so far away and unable to care for her myself, that was sooo comforting to see. Carrie brought Tia back home the next day and made sure she had her prescribed meds and food until I returned home that weekend. When I got home, I was overjoyed to see Tia looking perky, alert, and well. Unfortunately Tia fell illl again on Sunday night - and very early Monday morning, she unexpectedly passed away. I was distraight, I had Tia for 14 years and was very attached to her, this was one of the saddest times of my life - I never had a pet die in my home before, I was alone and didn't know what to do - so I reached out to Meghan and Carrie. Carrie called my vets office as soon as they opened and sent me pricing for them to handle cremation and other options. She also offered to come pick up Tia if I needed her to, and she provided comforting and kind words and guidance in my time of grief and confusion. I cannot tell you how much this meant to me. But more importantly, only because of Carrie's prompt attention and care during the previous week, I got to spend that one last weekend snuggling with my girl - and for that, I will be forever grateful. read more

Initially, I noticed Meg walking the neighbors dogs for a couple of years. She was consistently reliable, friendly to the dogs, treated them with respect, and even worked on some of their behavioral issues. When my circumstances changed and I needed a dog walker, I met with Meg. Previously hearing horror stories about dog walkers, I was nervous about who I left my baby with and allowed into my home. I found her to be very knowledgable and sincerely fond of pets. Words alone can't express how highly I think of Meg and her service!!! She truly loves animals and customizes their care per the pets and owners individual needs. My dog is a ball of energy and she knows exactly how to handle him. He gets super excited every time he sees Meg, which is a great sign. Meg is easy to contact as she is very responsive to texts and emails. During the visit she usually writes or texts a note about how it went, or even sends a few pics!!! It's great to see how the "little one" is doing while I'm at work. Meghan is amazing! I have 2 cats - my younger one who is very loving & enjoys attention and my older one who is a little crazy & a bit temperamental (she takes after me). The younger one is easy to appease... a few back scratches and chin rubs and she becomes mush. My older kitty, not so much. She tends to be very territorial, only wants to be pet when she wants you to pet her (she will let you know when she's ready) and tends to go on hunger strikes and hides when I'm away (quite a bit of separation anxiety). Leaving for periods of time has always been difficult because I know my older fur baby struggles so much when I'm away. It's also difficult to find someone I can trust to be patient with her and not push her out of her comfort zone. Ever since Meghan came into our lives, leaving my girls has been a much smoother transition. The first time Meghan watched them for me, she sent me pictures of each one. I couldn't believe my eyes! My crazy, protective, anxiety-ridden girl was out and about, observing Meghan and no where near anything she could hide behind - that was a BIG deal! I knew that I made the right decision at that point. The next day the picture showed her a little closer. It went on for 3 or 4 days and then BAM.. I received a picture of my sweet, old baby girl PLAYING with her sister & Meghan! No one has ever been able to get my older kitty out of hiding, let alone play with her, while I've been away. Meghan is flexible with scheduling, always easy to reach & fast to respond. She has also accommodated a last minute visit (same day notice) for an unexpected situation that took my out of town for 2 days. While I'm away, I receive periodic updates & pictures via FB messenger (or text) to let me know/see how things are going. Meghan has given me the peace of mind I've hoped for while I'm away. She has been such a blessing in my life because I know my babies & my home are in good hands when I'm not around! read more

Hire without hesitation! We have had Meghan's dog walking service for three solid months now and could not speak more highly of them! Our dog walker Heather (and sometimes Marisela) provides pictures and notes from every visit and you can clearly see how much the pups enjoy her time with them, all smiles! She understands their preference to do their business, and then they come back to the house to play before she heads out. Heather comes 2-3x per week, so they get to see her often! Besides the superb service directly for the pups, as the pup parent, it is so easy to schedule, reschedule and add last minute walks with Meghan and her team.
