I am soooo guilty of being one of the many that used to have the over plucked over tweezed super thin brows in the early 2000's and of course they do not grow back and I barely have any hair which now causes me to spend hundreds of dollars on eyebrow products. Well, until now....Yayyyy for my microblading fairy god eyebrow queen Jasmine!!! I've been going back and fourth with her for weeks about my brows and the microblading and healing process being very hesitant because I've previously tattoo'ed my eyebrows and they faded to an ugly brown color but she was so patient and informative and put me at ease explaining the microblading process, aftercare and the second session. I had microblading done at Love Ink Brow in fall 2018 and just had powder brows done today. Jasmine is correcting botched miccroblading I had done fall 2016. One or two more sessions and I should be good...as most of the old pigment from 2016 is gone. Correcting what had been done in 2016 is a process that has to be done in steps and I have issues where the pigment had bled, I scarred in one place. I am very happy with the new color and shape Jasmine has created for me. She is now in Alameda BTW. Her place is airy, cute, and clean and she is very careful following appropriate sanitation protocols. Microblading and powder brows are SO worth it. So after years of over-plucking my eyebrows, I finally decided to start growing them out. It has been a process but they have slowly started growing out. Unfortunately, it hasn't been at the speed I would have liked it to be. Filling them out has worked for the past couple of years but being that I do my makeup in the morning before work, it has gotten too time consuming along with getting my 5 yr old ready for school. I knew that getting my eyebrows tattooed was always an option but in my opinion it never really looks natural. However, a new procedure has come out that was the answer to my years of prayers... Microblading! I have been doing some research for a while on microblading and after my long search, I finally decided to try a place in Castro Valley called Love Ink Brow. My microblade artist's name was Jasmine and she was absolutely awesome. I was a little apprehensive going into my appointment because even though it's not done like a regular tattoo with a tattoo gun, it's done with a blade and it was still going to hurt, lol. She knew the ins and outs of the procedure. She explained everything that was going to happen and she was very thorough. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She listened to my concerns about my brows (I had a lot of bald spots that hair still hadn't grown into) and just went with the shape I already had and just filled them in more. Yes, of course there was pain but it's totally manageable and it doesn't last that long (numbing cream helps, hehe). The longest part of the procedure is figuring out what we both want and getting the measurements right so that everything is symmetrical. The healing process isn't very difficult just as long as you follow the instructions. It's been a couple of weeks since I had the procedure done so I have to go back in 2 weeks for my follow up. But after just a couple of weeks, I know I made the right decision by doing microblading and an even better decision going with Love Ink Brow. The location is great (right across the street from Castro Valley BART) and the shop is very cute and clean. Jasmine is the real deal and you will be MORE than happy with your results!
