UNPROFESSIONAL I booked my appointment online for 6pm. I received a confirmation text that my appointment was accepted. The day of my appointment I received a text stating your appointment at 5pm has been confirmed. The owner changed my appointment time without confirming with me first. I called the salon multiple times starting at 8am and left messages informing I would not be able to come at the time she rescheduled my appointment. 4pm no return call. This was the first time I had ever gotten lash extensions done so I was a bit nervous but Dominique was sooo lovely. She guided me through the process and helped explain the differences between the lashes, shape and length to get what I was looking for. The salon as well was beautiful and extremely relaxing with soothing sounds in the background and a heated bed with an optional blanket, it was simply wonderful. If I can give Zero stars, I would. As a businesswoman of color, I understand the importance of remaining professional and accommodating to my clients. I also understand that even when I disagree, I must remain poised and avoid arguing or going back n forth with my clients because as BIPOC women, we're held to a completely different standard. I wish this were the case here.. Yahni (my lash tech) was very nice. But, when the lashes on my right eye starting to fall out after only 2 days, I reached out in hopes of getting them fixed. Unfortunately, the text messaging did not go well. I am not new to getting my lashes done. And for $122, I would expect my lashes to last past 2 days. First, I was lectured via very lengthy text about "natural fall out" which apparently cannot be controlled and is to be expected even within hours?? Well that makes this the most expensive set of lashes I've ever gotten! Nevertheless, I was told that because I was unaware, that my appointment to get them fixed, was set for 4p. I was then told that next time, I should go back to my previous lash tech since I didn't experience any fall out there. Then I received a notification that my appointment was moved to 4:30p without them checking in to see if this still works. Not only has this business made this transaction/experience completely uncomfortable but I'm also left with a lash job halfway done. Very unfair. Needless to say, I immediately cancelled my appointment, I doubt this business can do right by their complaining clientele. I blocked the number I was texting with because I didn't want anymore lectures about "natural fall out". Plus, whomever was texting, seemed a bit too bothered. But! What does this person do? TL;DR: I just finished my lash lift appointment with Dominique who was so lovely, kind, and gentle during my appointment. Apparently I naturally have long lashes they're just super straight -- Dominique reinforced that trying the lash lift is a great route for my lashes and she really lift them! Can't wait to put mascara on them. My first and only lash extension was 4 years ago while I was traveling abroad. My lashes were cute but the whole experience was traumatic (my eyes burned like a m f). Needless to say I have been very apprehensive to do anything with my eyes ever since (but I'm tired of using magnetic lashes.) I opted for the lash lift as a small step back into the world of lashes. Lost my trust. Honestly, read this and BE CAREFUL when you go into appointments. I went here for a total of 4 times after I moved close by. Each time, the technician would glue lashes too close to my eyelid and my eyes would burn tremendously for the appointment and for a few hours following it. Each time, I thought it was my fault for having sensitive skin and would apologize profusely for having such watery eyes but no, it was definitely not. On my last visit, I asked her to glue only 4-5 per lash and suggest gluing it further from my skin so that I may not feel as much pain. I'm so upset because after I asked and she said okay, she put them SO close to my eyelid still and a few of them even on it! *When there is potential to damage the actual eyes for making contact with glue, it is truly, NOT OKAY.* 2 weeks after the appointment, one extension was bothering me so much that I had to pull it off painfully... you can see how messy this application is- there's at least 15 lashes on top of TWO very visible natural lashes. In the close up picture, you can actually see that I have 4 baby lashes that this bush of lashes was glue on top of. In total she glued 15 lashes on top of 6 natural lashes AT THE SAME TIME..... this is so insane given that this place is on the higher paying end.... read more

I went here for my first time today and had such a great experience. I got a full hybrid set with Victoria and I am in love!! First of all, when I walked into the shop it felt like so much thought went into the ambiance--even down to how nice the bathroom was, how comfy the bed and pillows are, how clean everything is. Online booking was also super convenient. It was easy to get an appointment, and when I called the number listed the receptionist was super prompt and helpful. Victoria greeted me and had me fill out some waivers. We talked about the style of lash I wanted and I felt like she understood exactly what look I was going for. (Ive only gotten lashed twice now so I was kind of clueless). She was super sweet and had such a calm energy about her. Her calm energy translated into the service as well. She was super gentle, didn't talk too much or too little, and had a very confident touch. I felt super relaxed and 100% comfortable. I was done in almost an hour! Which was so great, because I had more free time for my day. I fell in love with my lashes when Victoria handed me the mirror to see the final product. I'm nothing short of obsessed with my lashes and with the overall experience I had here today. Good luck trying to schedule an appointment. I scheduled an appointment on their website. The earliest available time was 7am so I selected that time then I get an email that my appointment is declined. So then I schedule another appointment and this time I select the 8am slot. I love an hour away so I need to leave my house an hour in advance to get there on time. So it is essential for me to get a confirmation of my appointment. Their hours state on google that they are open 6 am so I call several times with no response. I then text the number provided. The person clearly lacks customer service skills. Their reasoning is "the times aren't available unless the appt gets approved" that doesn't even make sense. This was my first time getting my lashes done at this salon. I've had my lashes done by another artist once before, and didn't like it. But I decided to give lash extensions another chance after my friend got hers done from this place. The interior is super cute! I love how decorative it is, and the place is really clean as well. I came in almost 10 minutes early to my appointment, and the person that I booked the service with was with Lexie. She first has me fill out some paperwork, and then asked about what style I wanted, length, diameter, and curl type. I didn't even know there was different selections, but I'm glad she showed me the charts and answered all my questions. During the service, she was very gentle and played relaxing music in the background. I usually twitch a lot when I either get my make up done on my eyes, and I was worried that it was going to happen when getting my lashes done. But Lexie did a great job, has a good eye, and I really loved how my lashes turned out! I'm somewhat picky when getting falsies, and was scared that the lashes were going to be too heavy for me. I cannot fully explain the thoughtfulness and the craftsmanship of these ladies at Ciao Bella!! The minute you walk in, you are greeted immediately and .. they are just... so nice!!!!! They have you fill out a few forms and on the very last page you write down how you like your lashes. If you don't know they are very very beginner friendly and walk through the different types of lashes, lengths and etc! Their wall is COVERED in Lash information!! When you finished choosing how you'd like your lashes they have you lay down on the most softest and HEATED bed!!! IVE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE IN A LASH PLACE!! I was just so touched especially because I am always freezing when I get my lashes done and I know they need the place cold for the glue. My lash lady was Lexy and she was sooo soo gentle! Yikes! I unfortunately had a bad experience with this establishment. I sought out this business due to their Sunday availability, I called and spoke to someone about their services, specifically inquiring about 1 week fills for Hybrid lashes because it was not available on their site. The woman I spoke to said to ask for it at the end of my service and it would be $65. I book my first appointment for a Hybrid full set and it's with Victoria. She did a really good job. I loved my lashes. I asked to book a 1 week fill after my set and she gave me her number to text. I texted her the following Wednesday and booked for Sunday at 1p. She forgot to input my appointment and when I arrived at 1p she had other clients. I was very understanding and she asked if I could come back at 2p. I said yes and left. She then texted me to come at 2:30p, so I said sure and headed all the home. She then texted me again after I made it home to come at 2p. Once again I told her that I would get there at 2:15p. When I arrive she says that my lashes are really sparse which I didn't think so being that they were not full after she did them a week ago. But whatever she starts my lashes and tapes my eyelid so that I could not shut my eye completely, eventually my eye begin to burn from the fumes and she gives me a fan. I ask if she could loosen the tape, which she doesn't. She explains that it took just under an hour to do my fill and it should have taken 30 minutes. (I've never had a full take less than 45 minutes) My lashes were a lot more full this time around which isn't really my style but once again it was fine. Anyway, I pay and decide to book online this time and my appointment gets declined, I call for an explanation and my call gets forwarded. Not sure what's up with this business but being that I overlooked my appointment being missed and also having my eyes burning, I should have at least been able to make another appointment and have it be accepted. No problem! I'll book elsewhere! In response: I booked an appointment for May 8th, as I stated in my review, I had my lashes done yesterday and book every week. Yesterday was my second appointment with you guys. My first appointment was great and Victoria was amazing, my second was not so great. I booked a third because I was willing to give it another shot because my first appointment went so well and it was also supposed to booked with you, not Victoria. Instead of being so wrong and defensive, you should have tried to correct it. As a black businesswoman myself, I always do my best to address client concerns within reason and this was definitely within reason. Your business was also marked open during the time of my call so perhaps updating your hours to prevent further confusion. All the best. This owner is so weird. She continues to claim I tried to book a same day appointment when it was clearly booked a week out. She's edited her comment like five times and still hasn't gotten it right. Girl, let it go. I don't get my lashes done often but the last time I got them done, whoa! I don't like really long or full lashes, I like somewhat of a nature look but with a flare. They nailed it! Usually, I get them done right before a vacation and this year, it was for my birthday in Florida. Despite the humidity and all of the water activity, my lashes lasted a full month! Super impressed with them! I even fell asleep during the application because of how gentle the technician was.
