I said it doesn't matter coz I have a Groupon and they said they'll offer the same rate if I cancel the Groupon . I didn't but they emailed Groupon and said that my skin was not appropriate for the treatment so they were offering the refund . I still went ahead coz I had driven a good 45 mins and it eventually was costing me the same. Later I refused to pay by Zelle and Venmo and they said that they accept credit card too but they would charge me the transaction fee too and I said Groupon didn't charge me the transaction fee so I won't pay it and they agreed . The facial - they told me if I used the Groupon they would do a basically facial and otherwise they would upgrade the serum . As the girl started working on my face . She started talking about my facial hair and tried to sell me hair removal packages at which time I told her I don't any sales being done to me while I'm getting a facial . I feel like they cut corners and didn't use the necessary serums for the facial and it's my guess but upon leaving while dressing up I checked and what she referred to as serums were the glycolic and salicylic acid that is used in the facial and I didn't see any empty vials . So I don't know what they did . Overall , this business is deeply unethical and I don't know what I got, but I'm not going back . The level of nickel and diming and skirting ethical and integral practices tells me , they gotta go !

I called and she took me in an hour later at her home which seemed "normal" to me because of COVID-19. She did state she works from home and not her salon because of her fear for COVID-19 which I totally understood. The process took about an hour. When I saw it I was so happy because it looked very nice. I was looking at my lashes on my way home and touched them ever so lightly and that's when I felt this hardness all across my lids. When I got home I looked in the mirror and I saw so much glue. More than 50% of the lash extensions were glued crookedly over my lashes. The most I found was she glued 1 extension over 4 of my natural lashes. It's so disappointing because I entrusted her and it was only to ruin my natural lashes. The glue was so thick and just poorly placed. Come to think of it, I don't remember feeling or hearing her separate my natural lashes as I did when I would go to my usual lash lady.(my usual lash lady wasn't available).

I was hesitant to share something so personal on Yelp. However, I found Demi through Yelp and I…read morewanted to share my experience. I rarely wear makeup. I think brows really frame the face and I didn't like how my eyebrows were becoming sparse with my left one thinning more. I had been curious about permanent makeup, both brows and liner, for years. I browsed online and checked out multiple artists. I read through hundreds of Yelp reviews! I did my homework and had several consults. I loved meeting Demi and she put me at ease. Demi really listened to what I wanted. She could also tell after our meeting and looking at my face what would look best on me. I was impressed by her knowledge and experience. Her salon is small, but spotless. It's located within the Sola Salon building. On the day of the treatment, Demi had booked the entire afternoon for me so she could take her time. She was very methodical. She measured my brows, sketched out an outline and asked for my approval. I started to relax at this point because I was SO nervous having never had any sort of permanent procedure. She suggested and showed me the colors she recommended. My brows were then numbed and she did both microblading and shading. I didn't feel any pain at all. After my brows were completed, Demi did my lash line eyeliner. She drew a sample line first and numbed my eyes. The procedure did not hurt, but it was more uncomfortable because it's so close to my eyeballs. :) Demi finished everything in 3 hours. She went over my after care instructions and sent me home with products to use. She was so sweet and told me to text her with any questions. The results?!! It's been 10 days and I love it! I have to admit that my brows were crazy dark the first few days. My boys were shocked. Haha. I followed Demi's aftercare instructions exactly. There were a few days of itching and flaking, but my brows are now mostly healed, a lighter color and feel good. I will see Demi in a month for a touch up. This is included and I will post more pictures then. If you're considering permanent makeup, come see Demi for a consult. She does excellent work. Plus, she's very patient and has a gentle touch.

Booked a Tuesday appointment for a back facial, because I've been searching everywhere for one in…read morethe East Bay and I was so excited when I found her website listing one for $120 for 60 minutes! Booked through the website, Paid my deposit and everything and was super excited for the experience. The description is: "Treat your back to a luxurious Back Facial that improves elasticity, hydration, and texture while stimulating collagen production for firmer, more youthful skin. With deep cleansing, exfoliation, and nourishing masks, this rejuvenating treatment revitalizes dry or uneven skin on your back, leaving it smoother and brighter." Got the confirmation text and email and confirmed everything. When I got there, Jenny very kindly informed me that she actually no longer does the back facials, she only does face facials now. I was definitely disappointed, but I had already driven there and had the day off, so I opted for the 10 step Korean facial instead ($199 before tip). She said that she was currently doing an offer for $199 instead of $300+, so I figured why not. This one is 90 minutes instead of 60 minutes. If it's your first time coming, I would recommend getting there 5 mins ish before your appointment so you can park and find the entrance to her room - there's a lot of other businesses here so I did have to take a lap to find the right door in the hallway. Pros: The whole facial experience was actually pretty great - the whole place is clean, easy parking out front. And it's very involved, in a good way. it includes massage to the face, shoulder, neck, arms, as well as all the regular facial stuff like extractions and a mask. She also uses the Plasonic machine (which can feel hot like it's burn/zapping your skin) but you can tell her if it feels too hot and she'll change the settings. She got rid of my blackheads with an ultrasonic skin scrubber and extracted all my whiteheads. There's also red light therapy. The studio is super clean, and Jenny is super sweet and nice, definitely easy to trust the Korean lady. I definitely would not mind coming back for another facial - I left there with my skin feeling super soft, she gave me some skincare tips, and it's a great location if you live in Castro Valley or San Leandro. I would definitely recommend wearing comfortable and thinner pants, because it gets pretty hot in the room with all the treatments. My highest praise would include that the extraction part wasn't as painful as other facials I've had, and the shoulder/neck/arm massage was surprisingly really helpful in relieving some pain I had from work! Cons: - I think it was really hard for me to give a 5, since I feel like I fell for false advertising thinking I was coming for a back facial. Things worked out in the end and I was due for a facial anyway - but I would have done some things differently (like not washed my hair beforehand, since it got a lot oilier after the scalp massage) if I had known I wasn't getting the back facial. Her service is great and I would highly recommend her for facials - and it sounds like her microblading is well appreciated too - but just be aware there are NO back facials here.
