Hence the four stars. However, the front office and overall check-in/check-out process felt rushed and somewhat unorganized. I was asked to arrive early, but when I got there there were no intake forms to complete. There was a tablet displayed for sign-in, but instead of using it I was asked for my name and then told to manually sign in on a clipboard. The process just felt a bit inconsistent. I may be mentally comparing it to other wellness spas I've visited, but the communication around the membership also wasn't very proactive. When I initially called to start the membership, not much information was shared about pricing or the process. After my appointment, I noticed another tablet displaying total charges that were much higher than what I expected. I was told to disregard those numbers with no explanation of the additional cost verbally requested until I asked. I mentioned that I had a membership, but I was still initially charged the higher rate. Additionally, there wasn't an offer to help schedule my next appointment, which I've typically experienced at other similar businesses. That said, the quality of the massage was great, so I'm willing to give this location another try. It was also a Saturday, so perhaps they were busier than usual. I'm hopeful the front desk experience will feel a bit smoother next time before I decide whether to switch locations.

She had recommended me products for at home care and I've had mayor improvements with them. I now don't skip a day without taking care of my skin. It's part of my monthly routine to visit her. I had been curious about sound therapy, using crystal or Tibetan singing bowls, for a while now so…read moreI was happy to find a place that used this in town. I wasn't sure what to expect so I decided to do the group class, at $35, instead of an individual session. Group classes are held when there is a significant change in astrology, so about twice a month. I brought a yoga mat, pillow, and water bottle to the class as instructed. Upon arrival, Liz, the owner/practitioner, made every feel very welcome, even if you hadn't done Holy Reiki Fire or Sound Bath therapy before. There were about seven of us total in the class with half new like me. We were all asked to get comfortable on our yoga mats and close our eyes and put on blankets or eye masks if we wanted. Since I didn't know what to expect, I declined and just lay on my mat with my pillow. First, Liz took us through a meditation scenario where we imagined ourselves in a peaceful place and then she started the sound therapy. Wow. I guess it thought this would only affect my hearing but you can definitely feel the vibrations of the sound throughout your body. It's hard to describe but it felt like I was floating a bit and a vortex of sound was rotating around me. At first I didn't know what to think or feel but as the sounds continued, I did feel all those annoying voices in my head, that think about what to do for dinner the next day or the laundry or any worries, just quiet and I did feel like I could focus. The session lasts about 45 minutes and I do have slight sciatica so I had to shift my legs a bit during the session. And afterwards I did feel refreshed. If I do this again, I think I would bring another mat or blanket to give my back more support and use an eye mask. It was a pretty neat experience overall.
