Not knowing where to start, a family member suggested we visit Carl Anthony tuxedo. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Our sales person, Taylor, made the process quick and easy. She went through the options of renting vs buying a suit and took some measurements. She asked a few questions to narrow down the accessories (vest, suspenders, bow tie, traditional tie, shoes etc) and brought over a few jackets for my son to try on. We decided to rent the blue suit (for $229 which comes with a button down shirt you get to keep, plus a tie, and shoes to wear for the event) and buy the black suit (for $299 plus alterations) She took our deposit and we were done. We were in and out in 30 minutes and totally happy with our selections. Next up, sizing, alterations, and pickup. Hoping the next step goes as smooth as our visit today.

After we arrived, multiple white customers came in after us and were helped immediately--greeted, toured through the store, and shown suit options by several staff members. Meanwhile, we were told to "look around" and left standing without any assistance. This happened repeatedly--each time a white couple entered, they were prioritized while we were overlooked. The most blatant moment was when a white couple was shown matching shoes right in front of us, while we stood less than a foot away still waiting. No one in our group is white, and the stark contrast in treatment felt racially motivated. We waited over 30 minutes before someone finally came over to help us, and even then, the staff member seemed visibly annoyed that we were trying on suits. This was supposed to be a celebratory moment for a groom preparing for his big day. Instead, it became a frustrating experience marked by unequal treatment. We truly hope this business reflects on how it treats all its customers moving forward.

Worst experience ever with the cashier this afternoon. We've been customers of this store for years…read moreand have never been treated as carelessly as we were today. Don't get me wrong, the salesman was very helpful pulling sizes and giving great advice. The tailor was also knowledgeable and did a good and was friendly. Things however went quickly south when we got to the cashier to pay. To say that the young woman at the register was rude as an understatement. There was not only a lack of basic retail service skills, but the young woman's attitude was borderline hostile. Basic questions about the breakdown of the charges and any discounts we might be able to take advantage of were met with rolled eyes, huffing, and puffing...at one point she literally walked away and starting ringing up another customer! I've worked retail and know it's a tough job, but this is NOT who you behave with customers, especially when we were nothing but courteous. K&G, do better with vetting, hiring, and training your staff! This was absolutely ridiculous. I'm angry that I had to interact with this person and your company should be ashamed to employ someone like that.

I was very specific about the details--monogram placement, font, and even requested that my name be done in all lowercase. Unfortunately, every item was done incorrectly. The monogram on the scarf was placed upside down (so when worn, it read incorrectly), and both the sweatshirt and pajamas were embroidered in the wrong font and not in lowercase as requested. When I brought this to their attention, I was told the original items could not be corrected and would need to be replaced and re-embroidered. To their credit, they agreed to repurchase the items. However, when I returned to pick them up, none of the items had been embroidered at all--and the pajamas provided were not even the correct pair. At that point, I requested a refund for the embroidery services I never received. I was told the employee present was unable to process a refund. I had to insist on getting something in writing stating that I would be refunded, but I have little confidence this will actually happen. I have not received a phone call, email, or any other communication to try to rectify the issue or send a refund. I've since filed a dispute with my bank. Between the repeated errors, lack of attention to detail, and inability to resolve the issue properly, this was an incredibly frustrating experience--especially given that these items were meant for a special occasion. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. The level of inaccuracy and lack of follow-through here is simply unacceptable.

I reached out via Yelp to schedule my wedding dress alterations in advance of my wedding date last September. The day I showed up I wasn't told in advance I needed heels and was told we couldn't proceed even though heels were actually available for this purpose, and nobody told me. The owner did reach out to me to come back and I had to reschedule for another two weeks later as I was already home at that point. I came back to set up alterations confirming that the hem would come up 3 inches to accommodate heels and for it to fit comfortably I would have to lose about 10 pounds. This was no issue. When I came back to try it on I'm not sure why (as it was never explained to me), but the straps were shortened in such a way as you can see in my photos that my breasts had no support and were flattened or the material moved depending on angle of photo. Not happy. They put in a zipper for the buttons which I was grateful for. I had several weeks prior to the day I needed to pick up scheduled as our wedding was out of state. When I showed up, it was not ready, not pressed and I had to wait while they finished. I'm glad I double checked it on my way out or I would've left the state without a dress that was done as I asked for a bustle that was not on the dress, even though I had asked for it and paid for everything in advance at the last appointment. I am not a picky person or hard to deal with when it comes to brides. We had a simple elopement and were very flexible with changes as they came. I find it beyond frustrating that for such a big event, and given the other amazing reviews (which is why I picked this business), that I had nothing but issues. The pricing was great, but Tim seemed to be the only person on the same page as me. This seems like a family business, so I was really bummed this didn't work out. As you can see in my photos, the stomach portion was still loose (with the ripples) and could've been taken in to fit more appropriately. The straps shouldn't have been taken done without the bra area being adjusted to support me. It's so hard to look at my wedding photos because the lack of care to my dress is so evident. The day of my elopement the bustle broke and a button came off of the zippered area. For this reason, unfortunately I would not return or recommend. I was hoping for a much better experience considering how important this was and how understanding I was working with this business despite all the issues that occurred.

When I first walked in, I was a little discouraged, thinking maybe the clothes would be too "old" for her. However, the owner, Janet, was an absolute joy. Not only did she pick things out for my daughter that we NEVER would've gravitated towards, she helped her with the fitting and boosted her confidence so much. I can't say enough about how wonderful and personalized the service was here. And I was pleasantly surprised that the dresses we would've looked right over were actually perfect for her. Shop was clean. Not a huge store, but a decent selection casual, dress-casual, and formal wear. Prices are what you would expect for a specialty store; not exorbitantly high. But the customer service is definitely top-notch, and we both left with smiles on our faces and a weight off our chests.
