It's another fantastic success story. We purchased our second dog from Love My Puppies in April 2023. He is growing into a healthy and well-adjusted young man. Why did we go back to L.M.P.? First, Joe cares about his animals, the store is well-staffed, and the dogs are happy and get plenty of love and socialization. His store is the cleanest pet store I've ever walked into. The staff and Joe quickly clean up any mess and are on their game. Lastly, we returned to Joe this year because we know by 2024, Joe will no longer be able to sell puppies. I understand that the need for animal welfare is critical, and we need to stop the cruel breeding of animals. Love My Puppies is not one of these horrible enterprises. Great small businesses like Love My Puppies will suffer because of a few bad actors. Instead of better regulations, which legit companies will honor and the consumer will appreciate, stores will be forced to close. People wanting to purchase a dog will turn to Online puppy mills. These mass-bred animals produced by backyard breeders in P.A. on Amish farms will have no health checks or regulations. To be clear, my only intention on posting my original review was for future customers to be aware. My husband and I are telling the truth. This is not a smear attempt. Your shop recommended her vet to us so you clearly had her vet information. My husband was waiting to hear from you and we never heard back last year. I won't continue this any further but I will say that her food and medical costs are high due to her congenital kidney disease. Please be careful if you choose to purchase a pup from this place!!! Update: I see the owner's response and to clarify, this is the correct location. My husband and I went there in April 2021 and we dealt with Paul who sold us Brandy. We contacted the store and Joe was made aware of Brandy's congenital kidney disease. Please see below invoice as proof. Brandy has been hospitalized multiple times since we bought her last year. She currently has to be on anti-seizure meds every 8hrs and has to receive under-the-skin fluids twice a week. Our vet bills are high, even with pet insurance. She has to be on special food and treats. My husband said Joe offered to pay for her food once we told him. He said he would speak to our vet to confirm and he never got back to us. I can't say Enough good things about this place, Joe (onwer) came highly recommended from a family member of mine when they purchased their King Charles pup from here From Before, my daughter and I walked in we felt very welcomed the entire staff was very accommodating knowing the purchase of a property is a lifelong commitment and is supposed to be a very memorable and pleasurable experience not only for myself but for my seven-year-old daughter more importantly. Joe and his staff answered every question that we had but more importantly than anything we did not feel pressured into making any kind of irrational decision in the heat of the moment. Prior to going to see "love my puppies" I went to another puppy store and had called Inadvance to let them know that although I'm a serious buyer I will not and cannot take a dog home that day. Preparations needed to be made to ensure the safety and well-being of the young pup. Buying a puppy shouldn't feel like you're buying a used car from a dealer, and even with the phone call made to the first place Proir to going and letting them know I was not walking out with a dog that day they still made every attempt possible to get the sale that day and Of course I understand sales positions, But when you're dealing with a Puppy and pulling on my heartstrings of a seven-year-old child, it's not the time for high pressure sales techniques. Joe's place was just the opposite and encourage me to get my house puppy proof first and then prepare to make a decision on which puppy we wanted to take home. The place was impeccably clean I had a great feeling about how the owners not only treat the animals but their employees as well and I made the decision that day to purchase a dog. Telling Joe I would need a couple days again to puppy proof the house to which he said "absolutely no problem" just let me know when you'd like to pick up the puppy and she'll be cleaned and groomed ready to go. Joe went over the details thoroughly about the dues and don'ts of bringing home such a young animal and I look forward to referring this place to my friends and family and utilize the grooming services that he also takes care of in-house. Again five star rated across-the-board in customer service, cleanliness prices, were fair given the quality of the animals the knowledge acquired, Tips and tricks to take care of the puppy. Joe and his wife are also very helpful after we purchased the dog it took her roughly 5 days to pick her up and they had no problem taking the time in their day to allow us to come visit the puppy during the waiting period it took me to pop your proof the house making my daughter a lot happier considering she had to wait several days before taking the puppy home. The paperwork process was smooth the information given was thorough and I look forward to dealing with Joe many years to come...! Can't thank you enough 48 hours with Luna have been incredible so far! I just want to say also I have succfully breed bulldogs in the past on more then one occasion. My fiancé and I moved from Whitestone to Wantagh last July. Since then we struggled to find a local groomer for our dogs, and bringing them back to queens every time became a hassel! Finally we took them to love my puppies and they totally exceeded our expectations beyond belief! The staff was extremely attentive from booking their appointment to picking them up when they were all done. Beware: these puppies are from puppy mills. The owners will lie to you. (Skip to the end of my review) I had a eerily similar experience to the reviewer below-- I bought a teddy bear puppy from Joe's father 2 days ago and immediately I noticed that he had severe anxiety problems. He hides under the couch for most of the day and absolutely refuses to go anywhere (for instance, down the hallway of my apartment instead of staying in the living room.) I called a very reputable trainer yesterday because I wanted to work on my puppy's issues right away. He came this morning and after interacting with my puppy, he said that he the severity of the anxiety might not get better and that the puppy is definitely from a puppy mill because he's terrified of humans and clearly hasn't socialized before. I went back to the store immediately with my puppy, in actual tears. I told Joe that the puppy had overwhelming anxiety and that because I'm a full time doctoral student, I can't be the best person to take care of a puppy like this. I was actually crying because I felt so bad for the puppy. Joe literally started yelling at me, telling me that he wanted the name of the trainer because he would "blast him all over the internet" (his actual words.) He told me that he wouldn't take the puppy back but that he would help me "rehome him" because he "doesn't want the puppy to wind up in a shelter." I was ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS about this. He wanted to resell the puppy without giving me any sort of refund. And the idea that his store, where puppies are locked in cages all day and are never even taken out to go to the bathroom (even on weewee pads) is a better environment than a shelter with caring volunteers who do background checks on potential adopters, is just completely ludicrous. And like the reviewer below, the worst part of the story is that I truly believed the story about Joe having a "network of breeders" whom he works with. I felt confident that my puppy did not come from a puppy mill because they reassured me of this several times. However, similarly to the reviewer below, when I googled the breeder's name I also found her on that same list (different breeder than the review below) of 100 horrible breeders who actually run puppy mills. This "breeder" was found to have almost 500 puppies on her prop In the end, I wound up keeping the puppy. It is going to cost a fortune to train him and socialize him properly, and there is no guarantee that he will get better. I don't think that I've ever been as disgusted with a company as I am with Love My Puppies. It is a complete scam and I truly hope that this review helps someone else avoid the situation that I found myself in. Please please avoid this place at all costs. UPDATE: several people have emailed me to ask what happened to my puppy. After several months of him refusing to take a step outside, I realized that I needed to give him up. I went through a reputable Long Island rescue and he was placed with a family in a quiet suburb. I was devastated to have to give him up, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to give him the immense amount of training that he needed to overcome his severe anxiety. As for the response from joe the owner, that he has nothing to gain by lying, I'll let you judge for yourselves. He's the one who is selling puppies from puppy mills (please, don't just take my word for it, ask any breeder if he or she would be willing to sell puppies to a store and ultimately to customers that they do not know, and the answer will always be no.) he's the one who is at risk of losing business. I'm reading all these reviews - some of which I'm shaking my head at- some I'm applauding. I find it ridiculous that Love My Puppies is being accused of running a puppy mill pet shop. UNLESS you've actually had the misfortune of unknowingly purchasing a puppy mill dog you cannot seriously be making an accusation like that. A pup that doesn't socialize on day 1- seems anxious? Really? - Isn't that how some humans behave in a foreign/unfamiliar environment? A pup that become diabetic years after purchase? A pup that- in a nutshell- has imperfections? Hey I can understand how someone would be angry and needs to lash out- what better scapegoat than the place the pup was purchased? But to deliberately try to scar a business because things have gone awry is plain out spiteful and mean. A congenital disease going undetected initially is equally as possible getting the pup directly from a earnest breeder as a puppy mill- it CAN happen- it's not a perfect world- it's sad when it happens but - it DOES. I speak from experience by the way, I foolishly purchased a pup from another shop (because it was at the height of the pandemic and Love My Puppies had limited operating hours and few to 0 pups depending on the day/month and we wanted one right there and then!) -that I later found out IS a genuinely puppy mill shop- a lesson learned well but too late as the pup died less than a week after we brought her home. It was a harrowing - highly emotional 5 days we had her- most of which was spent in an animal hospital...so believe me I DO know that heartbreak and anger some of the other reviewers feel. HOWEVER Love My Puppies aint one of them shops. This I know too because I am on my second pup purchased there. AND I personally know of seven other people who also got pups there as well. My first- a tiny Yorkie did end up with tracheal issues but I was told off the bat- this is common with the smaller breeds and something I might have to face as she aged. Sadly a collapsed trachea did her in but in the twelve years we had her she lead the BEST life- it wasn't til she was in her last few weeks her condition grossly developed- then worsened until we had to face the hardest decision of our lives. We now have a new pup from Love My Puppies for the last few months and aside from being overly enthusiastic to see someone when they come into the house he is AMAZING. The staff at Love My Puppies is highly informative and happy to share their knowledge. They are also readily well prepared to answer any questions... the whole lot of it. It is abundantly clear this shop is owned and run by huge animal lovers. Love my puppies was recommended to me when I was looking for a "Teddy bear" puppy. I spoke with the owner and a younger man a few times within the year and was told that the owner Joe makes a few trips a month to pick up new dogs from a "breeder" and only gets the best dogs. Come to find out -all a lie. Beware you are buying puppy mill dogs and shame on me for not asking more questions. When I picked out my teddy bear from Joe he explained that he was a F1 generation dog. Mom was a pure Shitzu, Dad a pure Bichon. I asked if he saw the parents and he said he did, the Mom was liver color and they had no health issues etc. He said he picks out the best, healthiest dogs and uses the same reliable breeder. At home I looked over the paperwork and it said the breeders name, Amos M Zimmerman. I was excited to research where my baby come from. Come to find out the Zimmerman family has been on the Horrible 100 list for puppy mills, had multiple violations over the years, had 500 dogs on property etc. This is who Joe gets his dogs from, Pennsylvania puppy mills. Met a woman in the vet that he sent us to with a poodle mix also bought from Joe and the breeder was his brother Alvin Zimmerman. The last part of the story is the worst. I had a dna test on my dog and found out he is a mix of four dogs. There is no pedigree involved. I paid $1600. Does he look like a teddy bear? Sure. Is he precious? Ofcourse. Am I worried about his health? Yes! I do not like getting scammed and would like to help you out. I recommend you do your homework and stay away from this store!! read more

I was actually extremely surprised oh, I swore by this groomer, but my last two visits, they abraised the top of my dog's nose oh, but I forgave one mistake but then when I took her back again, all four paws and her little butt were flaming red. Of course they denied any wrongdoing and said that she was extremely matted, I take her for grooming every couple of months, she is not neglected and she was not overly matted. My son and I have been to love my puppies 3 times. My son was eager to get a puppy but i was extremely nervous. Each time we were there, Joe spent time with us and answered all of our questions. He was patient, very nice and educated us on many things and the 3rd time we finally decided to go home with a beautiful male cockapoo. He has been such an amazing well behaved puppy. My son called Joe a couple of times to ask him some more questions after we got home because he was concerned about a few things and Joe answered all his questions and made him feel at ease. We took our pup to the Vet for a checkup within the first week and he is up to date with his shots and healthy. I would definitely recommend this pet shop to all. I'm going to review my experience buying my dog there as it is still to early to speak on anything else but the customer service. We bought our puppy there a day ago. The customer service was outstanding. Joe was super patient and helpful. We didn't feel pressured at all. We were there a while. Making decisions like this isn't easy. They allowed us to spend time with each dog we were considering. We got to sit and hold them for as long as we needed. The rest of the staff was pleasant. Smiles and very friendly. The dogs looked happy. Healthy. They didn't have a large selection but the breeds they did have were beautiful mixes. We went over all paperwork and all my questions were answered with respect and knowledge. I hope my dog remains the happy and healthy puppy i hope we brought home and i will be back on here to review again to let you know how he's doing. read more

Although I bathed and blew dry hair every two week and brushed nearly everyday, I assumed they were the experts and knew better. I used to take my dogs there to get groomed but I didn't know was that they keep sick dogs in the back. My dogs got sick every time they were groomed. This is a puppy mill. We just bought a dog from Joe and I have to say....we couldn't be happier! Besides the fact the owner is extremely knowledgeable, he was patient and courteous.
