I let her do whatever she wants and I have never been unhappy. She outdid herself this time with these cute Halloween designs. I get acrylic nails with shellac. This design features cute pumpkins and spiders with a matte finish. I also get pedicures that are so relaxing. My oldest usually gets dip powder that doesn't chip which is important for their job in the bakery. I highly recommend. Make sure to book in advance because this is a busy shop! Not to mention that she does amazing work. I can't believe I have found a salon worth going back to. Don't listen to some of the negative reviews, there are some women who go in and get the most expensive services and then call the next day and threaten to trash the salon's reviews unless they get their money back. I used to come here before the Pandemic and Mimi was the best. Unfortunately, she's no longer here and I booked with someone else. I went back hoping for the same service and it was literally the worst experience in my history of manicures. I booked a mani-pedi. The nail tech was unnecessarily rough during the entire process. The worst part was the pedicure itself. My toenails came out super uneven, the cutting was actually uneven, and I can paint my toes myself better. The top coat didn't even cover the entire nails. Whatever, it's my toes, no-one is looking that closely. The nails were absolutely awful! I asked for a shellac mani in a pale nude color. First off, the nail tech barely shaped my nails. I usually shape them myself in an almond shape and she didn't bother to help me file down the sides. She literally just "pretended" to file, random filing nails that didn't need to be filed. Again, she was gripping and moving my nails super aggressively. When she began painting, I could tell she was rushing and it was the most uneven painting ever. I spoke up and told her that I thought it was lumpy and uneven. She responded by saying that was a light color and insisted on adding more coats. The second and third coats made it look even worse. I don't know if she was rushing because there were customers waiting or if she was just inexperienced. I told her it looked really bad and she tried to argue with me and kept insisting it was even. She literally pointed to the lumpy mess on my nails and looked confused when I insisted they were uneven. I did my own nails during the pandemic and could paint better with my non-dominant hand. At this point, I was done, I told her that I would keep the nails and post pictures online to let other people and her manager see what she claimed was "even." She immediately said she would remove the nails and I can try again. I just had her remove the shellac and told her I would paint them myself. She started saying things in her native language that I could tell were directed at me. Thankfully she only charged me for the pedicure and I still gave her a 20% tip. I'm pretty sure I still have rewards with them from before the pandemic, but I don't think I'm ever coming back. read more

She sat down next to me and became extremely insulted when the nail tech was trying to make small conversation about asking if she came in with her family (her friend and friends daughter came in and she thought it could have possibly been her daughter and granddaughter) she became extremely offended over an innocent question. She began speaking down to the nail tech. She then FLICKED her hands out of the nail techs hands and spoke extremely demeaning to her yet again. I have been coming here for over 2 years and I see Tiffany every 3 weeks. When I first started coming I had acrylics. She was great about breaking my bad habit with those. I was really against dipping powder because my prior experiences had taken sooooo long. I kept Shellac for some time and finally she said "just trust me you will love it so much more." she was right. I have been having dip on my nails for about a year and a half now. My nails are healthier and look amazing. I have never had anyone do my nails as well as she does and we have become such good friends I love seeing her. She is a perfectionist at heart and always has a smile. The other techs are kind and friendly and it is a beautiful and clean salon. I feel the prices are very fair and I have yet to have a single issue with my nails. However, I know if I did I could come in for a quick fix. Thank you Tiffany for always making me look business ready or fun when I need it. With all the lash places available in the area this is definitely not one to choose. The area where they do lashes makes you feel like you're sitting in the back room broom closet. Lash extensions usually last two weeks after less than a week. Mine looked horrible. I was in here about 5 years ago, and was extremely disappointed in the whole salon. So needless to say I haven't been back, but then I noticed the name of the salon had changed. So since I live within walking distance I figured I'd go check it out. My daughter and I went to to get our nails done on Tuesday, and my daughters four and was super excited to get her nails done for the first time. And then when we sat down she changed her mind and decided she just wanted to sit on my lap instead. And the lady who did my nails name is Trish and she offered her chocolate, she also offered us water bottles as well. Everyone there was extremely accommodating. I showed her a picture on pinterest of what I wanted my nails to look like, color and everything. And based on my past experience with other salons I understood that they won't turn out exactly like the picture. Which is fine. And Trish totally exceeded all my expectations. I haven't gotten my nails done in several years, and I will absolutely be coming back twice a month to see her. They turned out exactly like the picture I showed her, she was very personable and friendly. And also took her time in making sure I liked how they were turning out. I don't ever take the time to write reviews but I felt like this salon, and their staff, especially Trish deserves one. So... Here's the deal... I had been coming here before they changed their name (used to be Reve Nails) and should have learned my lesson to ONLY make an appointment with Mimi, Trish or Nina. They each deserve 5 stars and are always very neat and clean with their nail work. The last few times I'd gone in for a color change and the male technician felt the need to wipe off the excess nail color on the cuticle with his own personal fingernail. I do have a thing about guys with long fingernails (not a good thing) and particularly one nail that is grown out just for this purpose might have been what sent me over the edge. After a change in ownership, emails began arriving after my visits because I participated in their loyalty program. I responded with my concern and was assured by the new owner that the issue would be corrected. I also asked that the techs wash or clean their hands before each new customer because the sticky, tacky feeling of someone holding your hand as they are doing your color change, or any other service, is not pleasant. Often times the lingering smell of cigarette smoke complicated things. After receiving the email from the owner, I decided to give the place another try and Tony was my technician this time. Again, cursing myself for not making an appointment, I decided to see if anything may have been said to the technicians. As I sat down, Tony used some hand sanitizer and I was starting to feel really good about being able to keep coming here because other than the lengthy fingernail issue, the color choices are good, the price is reasonable, and it's super close to my house. With my gel color picked, the color change started and sure enough, he too used his 'magical nail' to clean the excess color from my cuticle. I may even have said 'can you please clean that with a brush and some polish remover' (although I think I actually made that suggestion to the other male tech, but I'm not sure he heard/understood/gave a **(&^) which is what the female nail techs do. So that was my last visit, unfortunately. If I get into a bind I'll make an appointment with Mimi or Trish. Although I've found a different salon and explained the issue I had with the 'male nail'. The tech laughed and said it's very convenient to do that, but agreed it's not the most sanitary or pleasant experience. Interestingly enough, she too used her nail, but covered it with an acetone-soaked piece of gauze. For the same price, and just a bit more of a drive, I'd rather go here than risk a nail bed infection or worse. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or wait for one of the female techs. read more
