Terri was recommended to us by Three Little Birds event planning. She is very sweet and we trusted her to do our flowers. We emphasized in an hour-long meeting and over email that we wanted peonies for our May wedding. Less than a month before the wedding, and after we had already paid, we realized that Terri had only included peonies in the bridal bouquet quote. She then gave us a quote of $12/stem and emphasized that the price was so high because of her gas cost and tariffs. We asked if we could supply the peonies to her since the flower market cost was $3-6/stem (market not wholesale). She agreed, but then told us that her cost was so high because she would need to order 3 times the amount of peonies needed in order for them to open in time for the wedding. She also told us that she would use some peonies that hadn't opened for an extra pop of color, so we could get as many peonies as possible. We agreed to pay her an additional $500 for peonies. A quick Google search can tell you that there are many ways florists open peonies. We were supposed to have one peony for every three bud vases. On the day, the people setting up reported that they couldn't find enough peonies for the tables. It's possible they were used elsewhere, but we highly doubt she ordered three times the peonies. The day before the wedding, my mom delivered a bud vase to her studio where she was doing our flowers. My mom found she had done our flowers heavily with carnations and in the wrong color. She did not include carnations in the test we did and never mentioned she'd be using them. I absolutely hate carnations and never imagined that she would use them since we repeatedly told her we wanted wildflowers. She told my mom that this was "seasonal filler" but in addition to being super cheap, carnations are available year-round and are not seasonal. Our colors were hot pink, cobalt blue, lemon yellow and bright orange. My mom found her working with very light blue flowers. She told my mom that she was not able to get the right color blue from her supplier. In our test run, she had apologized about not having blue flowers, but knew we wanted them for the wedding. My mom ended up having to go to Trader Joe's to buy whatever was available. While my mom was at the store, Terri called me to give me a totally different excuse about worrying that our tables would have too much blue on them. She was more concerned about my mom getting back with the flowers before she had to leave than with making the situation right. Terri didn't take notes when we had our planning meeting and never offered any examples of florals she had done. read more

Terri did an absolutely exceptional job with the florals for our wedding! I sent her a few inspo photos and a color palette, and the wedding floral proposal she came back with was exactly what I was hoping for. As we gained more of an idea of the details for the day, Terri was super helpful and flexible in adjusting the plan and made some very on-point suggestions for the table decor and flower choice. Especially since our main color was dark blue, and there were few blue flowers in season at the time of our wedding, she was able to find ones with complementing colors that ended up looking beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. My bouquet and the bouquets for my bridesmaids were absolutely perfect - classic yet modern. The bouttenieres for the guys, corsages for the moms, flower hoop for our flower girl, and flower collar for our dog were all also beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. Unique, modern, perfect. Florals in our reception (bud vases, larger flower arrangements, and the arrangement for the head table) really shaped the feel of the room and so many guests commented on how beautiful they were. My wedding was this year and I loved my flowers. My vision was executed perfectly and it was a joy to work with Terri and her detailed eye and excitement. Two of my friends used her a couple years ago and loved her work (one of my friends did flower crowns which were a big hit!) I wanted a big bouquet and that was delivered! You meet with Terri in advance (you can even do it on Facetime) and she will email you a breakdown of the cost which isn't due until much closer to the wedding date. Wedding planning can be stressful and expensive. Terri was referred to us by our wedding planner, so we initially emailed back and forth and she was very responsive. We set up a meeting at a local coffee shop. She was immediately so warm and friendly and we liked her right away! She was willing to work with our budget and had lots of ideas on how to save on costs. We had several changes to our vision during the planning and Terri was so accommodating, sending us updated quotes and answering all of our questions (I had LOTS). It makes the planning process so much easier when you work with responsive vendors. When the wedding day finally arrived, we couldn't have been happier with the floral arrangements that Terri made for us. The bouquets were beautiful, the circular arch was gorgeous, and I couldn't have imagined prettier flowers on the cake. We received so many compliments on the greenery and mini centerpieces on the tables. She even added some greenery to the fireplace mantel that we hadn't expected and gifted the flower basket petals. Terri was such a pleasure to work with! She gave me a great quote for a smaller budget to start with and then we slowly expanded as time went on. I had a vision in mind and Terri blew it out of the water. I wanted a deep red/burgundy rose and she got back to me as soon as she knew which roses were available and in season. At first, I wasn't too sure about the roses but she assured me that all together they would look like the pictures I shared with her. Terri was super awesome to work with. She was referred to me by my awesome photographer and has been communicating with me since day 1!
