It has been years now, but I still think about this horrid situation when I go up to my rental in Oakhurst. I had to move my family to Fresno, being a single mom I had found an amazing employment opportunity. I needed someone whom I could trust with my soon-to-be rental house in Oakhurst. Diana Sosa was recommended, what a mistake. Diana Sosa is an extremely nice individual, but in terms of a property manager, sadly I cannot say she was the best. The renters we had, that she recommended completely stole from us. We had a beautiful angel statue in the frontal position of our house near our walkway, and a beautiful log bench seat in the backyard that was stolen by the renters when they moved out, not to mention while Diana watched. The renters were also given their entire deposit back which was completely an "inept thing to do" to me and extremely sad. I can remember my conversation with Diana over the phone when I went to view my property up in Oakhurst and saw those items gone. It was horrific that my angel statue was gone. This item was heavy and quite large, and so was the log bench in the backyard. Again I could not believe they were gone! In my conversation with Diana, she informed me that she could do nothing about my property being stolen because it was not noted in the paperwork she had, mind you, it was the first time I had ever rented my house out, and I had pictures and shared with her that those items were to stay on the property. Sadly in essence Diana basically said they could take my property if it was not LISTED ON HER LIST!!!!!. My goodness, what a horrible day that was for me, I still placed a police report against my renters that stole from me, but the Sheriffs replied to me, that it was the property manager that should have stopped it and didn't. That was a real bad day for me, it may seem like nothing but those items had sentimental value, custom made, and irreplaceable. My situation is not at all like it was then, after growing financially and having business knowledge I still think about that ordeal with Diana, basically it was a day of trauma and a nightmare for me where the reality of choosing the wrong property manager, came down to my own fault for signing on the dotted line and trusting her with my house. Still today after so many years, I often wonder how Diana could have allowed that to happen to hard-working people. Financially as my world has changed I have learned a lesson through this that I will take with me for a lifetime. I will make every effort and opportunity in my life, to tie up loose ends and work my hardest Not to Treat people the way I was treated on that awful day. It goes to show what tainted perspective can do.

She's gone above and beyond with answering all 300 of my crazy questions and communicating promptly, compassionately, and professionally. I had originally contacted them for a certain property I saw online and was interested in calling home. They contacted me swiftly and even told me about the other properties they available. I ultimately ended signing for a different one their houses than the one I had originally messaged them about and am so beyond thrilled! Venture Property Management's website/portal platform is also sooo easy and transparent, so it's really nice finally having a living situation where it's easy to see and pay bills. From applying, sending documents, paying the security deposit, and rent, VPM has been amazing every step of the way. I have applied for quite a few rentals prior to seeing them, and most property management companies actually want to pre-screen applicants prior to showing a rental so they are not wasting their time. This is actually a very common practice in more evolved areas. No wonder all of her rentals are still not rented a month later.....That is not surprising to me at all. I am sure the property owners wouldn't like the fact that people attempted to apply for their properties, but the property management company ignored them. This is what happens when dealing with oakie small town people - they do everything in a small town way, as in not being adaptable, not being easily contactable, being rigid, and not being up to date with common real estate practices. She was only going to show me a house on a day that she was showing it. Don't most real estate companies show you a rental property whenever you want to see it, when the time/day is right for you? The lady does not even advertise her rentals on craigslist or zillow, so most people would not even know they exist.... The only way I found out about one of them is the actual property owner posted the home himself on craigslist. And 30 days later the home still hasn't been rented. HAHAHAHAHA. "Backward" is the key term we need to apply to this company.

After being approved the owner wanted to add central AC and in the process increased the rent by a significant amount even before we moved in. We really wanted the place so went along with it and waited for the AC to be installed. Finally given the go ahead we returned in order to give the movers clear directions and noted the carpet still had original problem. We had to push back the move in date which cost us a significant amount due to not being able to move out on the scheduled date. We never were given a date and upon inquiring ultimately told we didn't have to rent the property. Sadly when I heard that we had to back out of the deal and find another place that was ready immediately.

My old manager? meh... didn't really care, made me feel like I was losing money and it was all on me. Chambers kinda changed all that. The…read morestay itself was fine, but about two weeks after checkout I received a $150 damage claim accusing me of leaving a "large dog urine stain" on a rug. The issue is that I did not travel with a dog (I had a cat and paid the pet fee through Airbnb), and I had timestamped photos from during my stay and at checkout showing the rug in normal condition. After reviewing the information provided by both sides, Airbnb determined that the claim was not eligible for reimbursement, so I was not charged. For transparency, I've included the photo that was used to accuse me along with one of my timestamped photos taken during my stay. My advice to future guests: take timestamped photos at check-in and again before checkout, especially if you are traveling with pets. Documentation can be very important if a dispute arises later.
