About 2-3 people in it. It's a small store. You are paying for convenience (prices are a bit higher) because most other stores in the immediate area by foot are closed by this time / there's not a ton of competition. It's not the cleanest of stores and if you get anything that is not prepackaged, good luck to your gut because it doesn't scream the cleanest place ever. I got a few things - gatorade, candy, chips and it came out to 20 bucks. Staff is okay. Felt like they were staring me down. When I got to the registered they greeted me which is the bare minimum but felt like it was the best I was going to get. So I'll give them a half a star for that. Place is organized a bit weird. I could find items in the most random of places. Best to come here if you want one or two items.

Luckily, we found MA & PA Market on Sunday, October 9th around 6:45pm. We needed red bull! The roommate got a regular one and I got a sugarfree one at $2.29 each. I didn't look around much, but the market was a good size. I believe they have a good assortment of the usual offerings. It was a rainy Sunday, so not very busy. We were in and out quickly. Very convenient when walking around Southwest Portland.

It has your standard selection of cold drinks, candy bars, snacks, cigarettes and the like, but it also stocks what seems to be an extended selection of dry goods, a decent size frozen case, and some hot food like fried chicken, jo-jo's, etc. Not that I have any reason to rock that kind of food when I'm in this area of town chock full of good food, but it's always a nice option to have. They came through for me on ice and bottled water when I was hosting an event nearby, and the ATM is convenient (even though it charges $2.95). Convenience has its price.

That can take a while, as the store appears to be minimally staffed. My wife had a prescription sent there on Sunday morning. There was a single person on duty at the pharmacy. Her simple prescription (an antibiotic ointment, and antibiotic pills) took three hours to prepare, and two hours past the first "your prescription is ready for pickup" text message. But, that aside, it was a relief to find a store with a pharmacy still operating in this downtown location near our hotel. So although ours wasn't the best experience, we appreciated that CVS is still open amid difficult urban circumstances. Oh, a bonus was that we discovered this CVS also sells wine, and the prices are not jacked up to hotel levels. That was also much appreciated.

World Foods doesn't carry the ginormous container of pitted Kalama olives that the mothership Barbur Whole Foods does. But they do have excellent customer service and and will transfer a jug from Barbur to Whole Foods for me. They also sell Arz labne which I can't find anywhere else convenient in Portland. Certainly not at a conventional grocery store. They also sell all kinds of other international groceries like giant jars if dolmas, lavash, the best chocolate bars. I could go on and on. Walking the aisles makes me feel like I'm in a different country and it's fun. There's not much in the way of parking. Most people in the Pearl probably walk there. I know I do. This is one of my first stops when I…read morearrive in Portland because I like to pick up some things to keep in my motel for my stay, and this is the closest/easiest place to get to. I usually grab a case of hard cider (the specific kind depends on my mood, but they have a decent amount of choices), Red Bull and/or other drinks, cigarettes, and some snacks, but they have everything you'd normally see or want in a corner store. I've been here a couple times for things like aspirin and sunscreen too. I've been here many times but only on my most recent visit did I get caught in a long line that went through the aisles. The cashier handled it really well though and was going as fast as he could to help everyone so it was really appreciated. Usually my trips are very quick though with no lines. It's clean, especially when compared to some other Plaid Pantry's I've been to, and the cashier has always been pleasant. No complaints, and nothing I could think of that I'd like to see change. I'll keep coming back.

I was standing at the window and pressing the button to let the worker know I was there. The employee looked at me and continued to do what she was doing. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and let her finish but 5 min passed and she moved onto another activity leaving me un helped. I then go to the door and it's chained but I was able to crack it open and asked if she was going to help me out in which she replied 'no' ??? I was confused and extremely irritated she would respond like that. I also told her to change the sign on the door if she doesn't want to do her job. I get it's in pdx and they deal w a lot but if you don't want to deal with people don't work in the industry. The employee was a skinny white lady that appears emo. Watch out for her if she's working because she won't help you. Do better plaid pantry.

I came here to just pick up my Amazon order since this locker was the closest to my friends…read moreapartment. We found it easier since it was at a corner but it's in a small plaza so there wasn't a lot of parking spots. When I walked in, I went straight to the locker which is on the left side of the store. The worker asked if I needed any assistance but I told him I was just picking up my package. The process is easy, you just put in your code and the locker open. My issue was that there were other packages in the same locker as my item. So I had to look through them and put back the packages that wasn't mine.
