Brides-to-be, let me talk to you for a second. I walked into Lovely excited but incredibly nervous because I honestly didn't know if I would find the dress. Real life isn't always like the movies, so I tried not to get my hopes up too high or walk away disappointed. After trying on a few dresses, I remember telling my stylist, Allie, "I don't know if we're going to find it." She smiled, disappeared for a few minutes, and came back carrying the most beautiful gown. She looked at me and said, "I think this is the one for you." The moment she helped me into it, I did something I never thought I'd do... I cried. Allie looked at me and said, "I'm in awe of how good this looks on you," then pulled back the curtain. My entire group stood there with their mouths on the floor. She paired it with the most perfect veil, and together it felt like a match made in heaven. Allie is genuinely one of the sweetest, most encouraging, and most caring stylists I've ever met. The moment I started feeling discouraged, she brought light back into the room. She celebrated me, hyped me up, listened to what I wanted, and somehow found a dress that felt like it had been made just for me. Darrien! Darrien! Darrien! What an amazing person she is. I can be pretty reserved especially in regards to trying clothing on. It's just not fun for me. Especially because I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I am usually the type to want to try on what I picked in my look book and move on. However, as soon as Darrien brought us into our room and started asking questions about my vision for the dress and the vibes for my wedding I instantly relaxed. I honestly felt like I was shopping with a best friend. Darrien was so validating, inquisitive, and had an eye for what would look best on me. Not only did she connect with me on my wedding but also our collegiate career and lifestyles. Even my (typically) pretty shy mother felt comfortable around her. My experience here at Lovely Bride with Darrien was over the top amazing! Scheduling my appointment was a breeze and the store provided all the necessary information before hand to make it as easy as possible when you arrive the day of your appointment. The store was so cute and clean and Darrien herself set the atmosphere right when I walked in. It was personable and intimate.. with my own private bridal suit for me and my guest. She took the time at the beginning of my appointment to ask me in-depth questions on my vision for my dress and my wedding and literally wanted to know everything and to me that was so sweet! She genuinely cared and I could tell! Each dress she pulled for me she would listen with intent on my likes and dislikes and this eventually led to her finding my dream dress! This was the 3rd bridal shop I went to in order to find my wedding dress. I brought my MIL and SIL with me (my Mom is deceased). Allie assisted us and boy was she prepared! I appreciate them providing a questionnaire once you set your appointment to understand what you're looking for in a dress because it helps tremendously. Allie pulled the dresses that most fit my style based on the amount of time before my wedding (6 months away at the time) and my budget. The shop is so cute and cozy. I actually ended up picking my dress from here because I hadn't seen one like it anywhere else and can't wait to pick it up:) Advice for all brides ALWAYS make an appointment at a bridal shop....it saves so much time and lowers the feeling of being overwhelmed. I loved lovely bride and said yes to my dress, which I didn't think I would. I am so indecisive and not a cryer and never envisioned my dream wedding gown but when I put it on I just knew it was the one. My sales associate was so sweet and helpful during the entire process. Now becomes my issues.. my issue was my dress wasn't marked correctly so after I said yes and was pulled up my quote for a $3100 dress I asked about an extra $150 charge and was told that was for an upgrade on my dress (an upgrade I didn't choose that was already included in the floor gown and was not disclosed). When a question of pricing was brought up my experience immediately came to a hault and to be honest I was going to walk away from my dream dress due to lack of management and the way they then treated not only me but my mother and future mother in law. The sales associate then left us for another appointment and the manager walked in to discuss the price difference. She noted off the bat the mistake was on her end and that she had miss labeled the dress because it was new on the floor but unfortunately the $150 upcharge stands and was on us. We were about to walk away from my dream dress when we asked for her to call the owner. Within 5 minutes the manager reappeared to our dressing room with a completely different attitude and "of course we'll cover the $150" unfortunately the beautiful experience I had once had here is already ruined. We proceeded to purchase the dress and were thanked and byed out of there. No one asked if we wanted to take pictures that we said yes to the dress and there was no more making it a special experience to us. To be quite honest this manager completely ruined my bridal dress and say yes to the dress experience and I will never be able to get that back but I will indeed look beautiful on my wedding day. read more

While I did not ultimately find my dress here, it was still a great shopping experience. Via the information I provided they knew I was on a time crunch and created an early appointment just for me to come in. They specifically let me know which dresses would work in my time crunch and then let me try on every dress I wanted to. I was on my own, so they took picture and let me know the details for each dress. I definitely suggest checking them out, the selection is beautiful and the staff is lovely! read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Lovely Bride Charlotte with my stylist, Mia Antonelli! Mia was amazing, she made me feel very comfortable and made the experience stress-free. She helped me keep a top 3 so I wouldn't get analysis paralysis but she never made me feel rushed. I really appreciated this since I was getting a bit overwhelmed with making a decision. I might be biased since I found my dress here, but I absolutely loved my experience at Lovely Bridal. The shop is modern and airy with great natural light (I was surprised to find how important this is when it comes to wedding dress shopping), and my stylist Darrien was so fun and easy to work with. Their dresses lean more on the unique side, both in style and availability, which is exactly what I was looking for. I also really appreciated being able to book my appointment date & time online instead of having to call the store, since many bridal shops have limited hours during the work week. My experience at Lovely Bride Charlotte was wonderful! The shop itself has such a warm and welcoming ambiance with boho chic vibes and I loved the decor. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel right at home! They laid everything out perfectly and explained what the entire process would look like. I thought I had a sense of what I was going for based on visiting another shop earlier in the day. ReAnne really listened to what my style was, even with wedding themes, and was able to select beautiful dresses that fell within my desire and budget! All the dresses there are so unique and I loved that the designers they carry are not typical among local bridal shops, which made my dress feel even more special! The dress I ended up choosing I'm not even sure I would have picked it out for myself, but once I put it on I didn't want to take it off! I was able to make an easy follow up appointment to come back with my MOH and in between they were so sweet with follow up communication. I wish I could give Lovely 6 stars! The shop is a perfect setting to get you in the mood to find your dream dress, with a group of bridal specialist that are truly expert professionals. Allie really got to know me to understand my vision (which I didn't even have before I walked in). She patiently walked me through about 10 dresses before she pulled the exact dress I didn't know I was looking for. When she knew this was the one, she walked me out to the main area of the salon where my friends could take photos and let me try a few veils in natural light. There was zero pressure to make a decision, which I am extremely grateful for. Since I live in a different city, they accommodated shipping the dress to my house, so I didn't have to come back to Charlotte.
