She then asked about my wedding, the style I was going for and if I had any favorite designers... I told her I was in love with Katie May and she quickly showed me the rack a KMs. She let me pick as many dressed as I wanted to try and on even suggested a few for me. I let her pick the first dress for me to try on and it ended up being the ONE! I went back a few months later to their open house and Cat remembered me and the dress I picked out and I even got to meet the Lovely owner! Lovely bride is amazing! I had been to quite a few other bridal shops in Houston searching for my dream dress but Lovely was definitely my favorite experience! I had such an amazing time finding my dress at Lovely! I had gone to another shop the day prior to my appointment with them and felt very underwhelmed by the experience. It wasn't until my appointment at Lovely with Diana that I felt the excitement and emotion that everyone talks about when looking for their dress! I was visiting Houston last weekend from LA and was happy and excited to visit Lovely. If I needed anything, the same store was back home in LA as well. My stylist was Cat and she was immediately encouraging and positive when I told her I was having a hard time finding The One. She is quite knowledgeable about designers and has been in bridal for years. The store is spacious, feminine, and we had it to ourselves. While I didn't find the dress that day, (I am picky to say the least) Cat expressed how much she wanted to be a resource for me beyond the store. Thankfully, the advice she gave stuck with me and I realized all along, I had been trying on dresses that weren't right for me. She suggested doing a bit more research which I did. I am happy to report--today I found my dress back in LA and it was partially due to her guidance! I even emailed her to gush! Anyhow...Lovely truly is Lovely and I highly recommend it for brides looking for unique dresses and excellent personal attention. I had a great experience shopping for the dress, but the follow through was horrible. I did not receive any communication about the arrival of my dress, though they said they emailed me. I called multiple times during business hours and nobody answered the phone. I left voicemails and was never called back. The DAY before my wedding, I called again and someone finally answered and told me they had the dress, but somehow didn't call me to let me know. Didn't even apologize and then told me I could come that day to pick it up. The store manager was ZERO help and I repeatedly asked for the owner's contact information and was never provided with it. The manager told me it was my responsibility to communicate with them and offered to ship me the dress. I am currently selling it online as it's no longer needed. I have three friends who recently became engaged and I warned them and will continue to share my experience. The store manager put all of the blame on me and didn't even bother to call me. It was a memorable experience trying on and finding the wedding dress of my dreams. If you choose Lovely Bride to find your wedding dress, I highly recommend you being familiar with the sizing guidelines for the designer of your dress before signing off. I trusted the associate who measured me and when my dress arrived, it was huge! Alterations cost over $1500! I emailed the owner and she advised this cost is in line with bridal gown alterations. They never pressured me into anything out of my price range. My experience at Lovely Bride was just that-lovely. The bridal consultants were helpful, knowledgeable, polite, and sweet. However, after a few try-ons I realized that the silhouette I thought I wanted didn't make me 'feel' the way I wanted. I am giving a low rating for many reasons. This shop is one of few that carries the designer I am interested in. I live in California and my mother lives in Austin. She called to see if they carried the dress I like and if she could stop by to see it because the one I tried on in California was very faded. They told her she could come any time Saturday or Sunday. When she got there is was closed. She left a voicemail stating her frustration. When she got a call back the girl was very apologetic and said she would send pictures of the dress and would be willing to give a discount if we were interested. I then emailed the manager asking questions like, do I need to be in Houston to order it and what the discount would be. She said 10% and that's what she gives every bride. Then how is that making up for being closed when my mom made the three hour trip out there? I also asked if I could order it in all one color. She told me the designer will not do that. I thought that was odd since the designers sight says it does custom color combo. I emailed the designer and they confirmed I could order the color combo I wanted. This shop is so all over the place and they don't know what they are talking about. They could have totally mislead me and prevented the designer from making a sale. I do not recommend this shop simply because of the management. They are a head ache and take forever to get back to you. read more

I said YES to the dress!!! I had the most amazing experience at Lovely. Tiffany was my consultant and she was awesome. We discussed what styles I liked the day before my appointment. The salon has you go on the website and pick out a few dresses that you want to try during your appointment. When I arrived Tiffany had the dresses I picked out ready to go in my dressing room. She really listened to what I like and was great about picking dresses that complimented my body type. She also helped to take pictures so I could send them to my bridesmaids who weren't able to be there. After I said yes to the dress we celebrated with complimentary champagne! It was the second wedding dress shop I stopped in, and I had an idea as to what dress I really wanted to try on, and Lovely had it. Compared to the first place I went, Lovely had a great variety of dresses to try on. Imani was my wedding dress consultant, and she was INCREDIBLE. So smiley and made me feel like every dress I tried on was stunning. I tried a couple dresses on twice and she was super patient. Had me try on some others, and then I tried the dress that I originally wanted to try on, and it was THE dress. Fell. In. Love. With. It. Turned out way better than I imagined. It looked exactly like I wanted it to on me, even with all my doubts. Imani helped pair it with a couple veils and we truly found THE most amazing veil, and I think I'm just as excited about the veil as I am the dress. The dress was the first decision I made in my wedding planning process and I absolutely do not regret it. I cannot wait to wear it in November. I think it is the most beautiful I've felt in a dress before. Lovely was there ever step of the way and their team was amazing to work with. We even had a small snafu with the veil, and the wrong one was ordered due to a mix up of tags on veil, but Lovely made it right and exhibited some of the best customer service I've ever received. We had our own private room which made it so much more intimate and special, and they let us bring in champagne so I could celebrate while trying on dresses, and getting to cheers to THE ONE!! This was my second stop of the day and I had found 3 "maybes" at the first store I had been to, but none that felt like THE dress.. As soon as we walked in I A) wanted to live here, and B) fell in love with almost every dress I saw. This store is definately quality over quantity - but they still have a ton of dresses and different styles. The first dress I tried on was it, after that I couldn't even remember what the other dresses looked like. The next dress was a CLOSE second, but nothing seemed to top that first one. :) I also found a PERFECT veil and we were in/out and paid in 45 min. First the positives: sweet bridal shop tucked in a great location in Houston. They were very responsive to emails and we felt a good connection with Judi. My daughter explained over a month before her appointment about her specific dream dress. Judi assured her she would pull it for her to try on. When we arrived (the diffuser scent by the way was overpowering), Judi warmly greeted us and assured us she had "the dress" and we pulled a few others to try on. Judi immediately had my daughter undress and put the dress on, yet it was missing an important part of the dress that made it unique. It was such a disappointment and Judi didn't seem to care. She said she could have the piece sent from another store, but we didn't have days and we felt misled. We were there that day to make a decision, and felt like she could have told us ahead of time that the dress was not complete. She obviously hadn't prepared for us like I believe she should have been. She seemed to think someone had "walked off" with it. We found this hard to believe. A beautiful day was ruined. The bride to be in tears, and the staff almost smiling and condescending. We left, went to another bridal shop, and purchased a dress that day. A true apology was never offered. I suppose business is so good that they can be unkind to clients since another bride is in the waiting room for our spot. read more

I had a wonderful wedding dress shopping experience at Lovely Bride. The atmosphere of Lovely Bride is laid back, unique, and beautiful. Tiffany spent so much time helping me figure out what type of dress worked for me by asking questions about what I liked about the different aspects of the dresses I tried on. I went to a couple of other boutiques before Lovely Bride, and we spent over twice as long at Lovely Bride because Tiffany was so generous with her time and allowed me to go back and forth between my final picks to figure out which one I loved the most. Very disappointed by the service. I called frantic because my wedding is 9 weeks away and the only thing left is the dress. I called on a Saturday and they managed to squeeze me in the next day. I stopped by that evening before they closed to check out their dresses. A very helpful employee reassured me that they had sample dresses available, that they they had other stores with more possible dresses (i.e. more inventory), that it would get worked out, she asked me what I was interested in, and the look I was going for and to call before my appointment if I had any additional information that could help her with pulling dresses. I left feeling assured that I wouldn't have to worry about my dress anymore. I showed up the next day for my 3 pm appointment and the employee was CLUELESS! I reiterated everything I said. I'm at a point right now where I know I can't be too picky so I asked what my options were in regards to what would be here the fastest. Her response "show me what you like and I'll tell you if it's available". I tried on THREE dresses that I had to go hand pick from their racks and asked what some other options were ..."nothing would get here in time". TOTALLY different response/vibe/lady from the day prior. Why be "Appointment Only" if I'm having to pick my own dresses and you can't answer any of my questions!?!? I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. RIDICULOUS (FYI I'm only giving two stars because of the employee from yesterday ...at least she made an effort to comfort an over anxious bride). read more

Everyone was very nice but overall it was a disappointing experience. When booking the appointment online I shared my style, link to my Pinterest, and my budget. I was shocked that there was not a single dress pulled for me in advance. The person helping me was so sweet but obviously never read any of the information I filled out to book the appointment because in the beginning of the appointment there was an akward initial discussion about my style and her asking to see my Pinterest. She didn't pull a single dress for me the entire appointment. Everyone I brought was pulling dresses of their style not mine. Also, they had another bride who got there 3 mins before me and had my style and took a ton of dresses I wanted to try but they wouldn't let me until her appointment was over. What is the point of an appointment when nothing was catered to me. Zero dresses were pulled in advance or ever. I couldnt even try on the dresses I wanted. The girl helping me even asked my budget infront of my future mother in law and sister in law. Super awkward. All around awkward experience. I was not impressed. Also, do not make me fill out all this information online if no one is going to even look at it. Also, I should be able to try on whatever dress I want as soon as another bride has changed out of it. read more
