If i could give zero stars I would. I was so disappointed in the service of this place. I drove all the way from New York to go with my friend who had intentions of buying the dress she tried on last time. Her three aunts drove from Boston and further to join this memorable experience, along with her mom. Before we even walked in, Ivy who was working there was so aggressive and rude toward our group saying that she could only have four people. Her body language and words were just so rude that my friend was in tears before we even got to the changing room. We had to decide who could come back and be part of this. I understand the rules, but there was no one else in the store at the time, and just the way Ivy treated us was disgusting. Her tone towards the group was very inappropriate. It ruined the entire vibe of the night, which is supposed to be a once in a lifetime experience for a bride. My friend, who was the bride, was basically in tears the whole time and could just not get over it. I just can't imagine how that type of person could be working in a bridal store where it's supposed to be a happy and exciting time. We ended up making a last minute appointment at Wedding Factor which was a million times better than the experience we got at Lovely. I would never recommend anyone to Lovely. I recently called Lovely Bride and made an appointment for their Julie Vino trunk show. Upon calling I was told the trunk show would have two full collections in the store, the Romanzo and the Napoli collections. I live in upstate New York and was looking for two of the gowns in those collections so I decided it was worth the drive since the woman on the phone garunteed I would see the 2 full collections. Once I arrived, after a long 4 hour drive, I walked in and saw there was only about 6 Julie Vino gowns on a rack. I asked if they had the dresses I had just drove 4 hours for and was told someone was going to "check" even though it was clear I had been lied to and those gowns were nowhere in the store. I asked the sales associate why I had been lied to about the trunk show and explained I had just drove 4 hours because I was told twice on the phone that the store would have those two full collections. She had no response & no one apologized!! It was clear they tried to get me to the store by lying about what they would have in hopes that they'd get me to look at something else and make a sale. I just had the best experience trying on dresses at Lovely Bride. Stephanie was my stylist and she was incredible. She had reviewed my Pinterest board before my appointment and picked out the perfect dresses for me to try on within my budget. She really helped me make the most out of my hour long appointment. Went bridal dress shopping with a friend yesterday. This was our second appointment. Walked into the shop and was inundated with the overly perfumed room spray - it's a bridal shop, what did expect it to smell like - the sales person greeted us warmly and brought us back to our dressing room - we then went out and chose dresses to try. Customers are not permitted to touch the merchandise, and they are hung so closely that it was hard to tell what anything was - we managed to find a few to start with and headed back to the dressing room - the dresses were sized a 2 or 4 (possibly a 6) but they were not for a normal sized woman to even get a clue to what it would look like on them. My friend is larger now than she has ever been and has lost over 30 pounds in the past two months with more to go. Dieting and exercising to the best of her ability and instead of having a dress that might not close but could give her an idea - they just had dresses that they would hold up while giving her the fish eye. The salesperson said something that I did not hear and she came out from behind the curtain and said we need to get out of here - she fat shamed me We left - I would not recommend this establishment to an enemy - instead of being exited about the future and positive/proud about the work she has done to be healthier and drop some weight - she spent hours crying last night and today! I had a really wonderful experience at Lovely Bride! The place is adorable, and definitely carried the most on-trend, non-traditional styles out of all the stores I went to. As you walk by the racks you can see how stunning and romantic their selection is. No to mention their awesome selection of jewelry/accessories. It really is bridal heaven - think of the aesthetic that you'd see on Pinterest and at Anthropologie. My consultant, Sarah, was amazing. She put me at ease, listened to my concerns, and helped me stay on budget. I came back a second time to try a dress I kept comparing others to, and it was "the one"! Had an amazing experience at Lovely Bride Philly with my stylist Aniyah and Sarah who was also working the store. From the moment we walked in, they were so kind and welcoming. Aniyah made us feel relaxed and gave us a personalized experience based on the designers and styles I was interested in. She also made some great suggestions and I ended up LOVING one of the dresses she picked, as well as the complementary veil. The store has an amazing selection of gowns and was overall an awesome place to shop for a dress (especially after the impersonal experience of trying on dresses at Pronovias in New York). Review by bridemaid. I came in today with high expectations from what I've read online and on yelp. I had just come from Unveiled, which was an amazing experience, and so my quality of service was now raised to the top. We were brought back to the dressing room where the party would wait and the bride would go with Julie (consultant) to pick out the dresses. Being that I know which dress my friend likes I decided to go out and look with her. After looking halfway through the collection, I can tell that Julie had no idea what my friend wanted. She kept saying "Oh I understand, or Oh I am just feeling you out, or Oh mm hmm I think I know what you mean" but my friend and I had to reexplain what she wanted. So I go and pick out what my friend is sort of looking for so she may have an idea, and another consultant says to me "oh its be a lot easier and quicker if you allow Julie to go through it with the bride" (ok... so im not allowed to help...). UNSURPRISINGLY My friend ends up picking the dress I wanted to show her. Soon after, the mother of the bride comes out and wants to take a look and Julie says "Girls we are almost done going through all the dresses and if you can just go back to the room and wait." (THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE because they were only halfway through and we wanted to look) I understand if there is a process but I should be allowed to look at the dresses if I want to. There were no other customers on the floor. It was just us!! The dresses that Julie picked out were all wrong, she did not seem to understand that what we wanted had to consist of lace, full skirt/A line, and cap sleeve (which we know can be made). It was sooo frustrating! I then pull a lace crop shawl/vest that can create the illusion of cap sleeves so that the MOB can see how it may look when altered and Julie was so quick to say "Oh let me have that I'll take it in" (Really??!!? my hands aren't dirty, I'm just trying to help). I swear, it was like I wasn't allowed to touch anything and Julie really thought she made a difference today but she really didn't. I give it a 2 star because they actually have nice dresses in there, Service just sucks, Julie work on being less snobby and more genuinely nice. read more

Today was the first day I had ever gone wedding dress shopping. After lots of research and Yelp reviews, my very first appointment was at Lovely. I went to a fantastic brunch with my friends and family and we arrived for our appointment at 11:50, ten minutes before our noontime appointment. Right away the service was lacking - the girl who let us in was extremely rushed and flustered, and while I understand there were many appointments that day, she negated to tell us how behind they were. I sat down with the other parties who were also waiting for their noontime appointments. Never once did anyone come over to apologize for the wait time or offer us anything to drink, etc. We waited patiently, understanding that bridal salons are busy on Saturday. I had made another appointment for 1:00 at a salon which is a 5 minute walk from Lovely. While I completely understand it was my decision to make these appointments back to back, I think it would have been courteous of the girl booking my appointment to explain that the salon can sometimes back up and run 20-30 minutes behind. Nonetheless, we waited patiently. At 12:20 (30 minutes after we arrived), no one had come to get us and we decided to leave. My Maid of Honor spoke to one of the girls to explain our situation and that we were leaving since they were obviously running behind, and she was met with a very annoyed sales associate who explained I would be seen shortly and could accomplish quite a lot in 40 minutes. Another thing worth noting, apparently my appointment would now be cut short since they were running behind. While my MOH was speaking to the associate, a women (who's name I wish I had), came over to bring me back. I explained to her that we were leaving because they were too far behind and rather than apologize like she should have done, she WAVED US OFF, turned around a walked away. She was incredibly rude. This turned out to be a beautiful twist of fate as we went to my next appointment early and we were seen right away and had 2 wonderful hours with an amazing consultant. By the end of the day, I said yes to the dress I will marry the love of my life in. You may have a better experience - and I hope you do, but just bare in mind if you are going on the weekend, plan to be there awhile and hopefully you won't work with the rude and uncaring consultant I was given. I have been to many bridal salons. My first visit went fairly well because I was the only person in the salon at the time. I found a dress I really liked and asked to bring friends back to see it. I tried to book my second appointment online and I got a confirmation. However, when I called to confirm they said they did not have my appointment scheduled. They added me in for the hour earlier, because they were already booked for the hour I originally booked online. I was admittedly late for the appointment (which is why I booked a later time online) but arrived in enough time to try on the 1 dress I wanted to show my friends. I asked if on the way out my friends (who traveled 2 hours from out of state to look at dresses and were only in town for 1 day) and I could just glance at some of the dresses in the showroom. I asked for 1-2 minutes just to look at them. The first person told me no because the show room would be too crowded given the other appointments. So I asked the owner if I could wait a few minutes until they were done in the show room and then look if the show room cleared out. The owner was extremely nasty and told me it was not a matter of space in the show room but that she did not want us touching the dresses. They were so rude, condescending, and had absolutely not an ounce of accommodation for someone who was ready to by there dress and had friends travel 2 hours to come see it. I admit I was late but had my appointment online worked correctly (I did have a confirmation number) I would have been on time. I would rather pay 3 times more for a dress than given them my money. read more

I'm sorry to say that our experience today at Lovely bridal was not as wonderful as the place looked. Absolutely gorgeous place with beautiful dresses and decor. We were 15 minutes late which was our fault but we were completely Rushed out of our appointment. The sales person seemed nice but just didn't really care and was just pushing us along to the next appointment. The bride asked to try on the last dress and she actually said no we don't have time. She didn't even have time to say yes to the dress she wanted to possibly get. I understand there are appointments and we were a little late due to rain and major traffic however thy shouldn't make the bride feel rushed and unimportant. They should block more time out for the bride and we special day. And every bride should be treated special No matter how many appointments the sales girls have a day. I was not impressed with lovely bride, at all. I was recommended this store by a close friend and honestly do not have anything positive to say about my experience. My family and I felt rushed and we were not able to browse the dresses ourselves. The girl I worked with almost exclusively chose the dresses I tried on, which I didn't like. I prefer to have more say in what I try on, as my mom and sisters to have more of a role in choosing the dresses and they did not at all - even when we asked. Let it be known that your appointment is only an hour long and it is a hard hour. They had only some of the designers I wanted and overall I felt the selection was small and expensive. I know other brides have had wonderful experiences at this location but unfortunately I can not say the same for me. read more

I went to this boutique 2 days ago. I have previously been to 5 different bridal shops over the past few months including Kleinfields in New York City. Which was an awful experience itself. This was a beautiful bridal shop. I forgot the name of the lady who helped me but I had such an amazing experience. I mentioned that I was looking to spend $1000 or under, and the saleswoman immediately told me that they start at $1500. They were very nice, but from that moment on, I felt like I didn't belong there (and they were probably thinking the same thing). I tried on a lot of dresses, some of which were over $1600, and I was really surprised that I didn't like any of the dresses they showed me. I realize now that you should always call and ask the salon what their price range is over the phone (it's rarely online, and online estimates are often inaccurate anyway) before scheduling an appointment.This is probably a great place to go if you have a higher budget. read more

My Lovely Bride experience was amazing from start to finish. Aniyah is THE consultant - she was so upbeat and made the process so fun for me. She pulled beautiful dresses for me based on the details I gave her and clipped me in perfectly to make sure I got a true feel for what the dress would look like on the big day. I very rarely leave reviews but I had to leave one for the team at Lovely Bride Philadelphia. When I arrived for my appointment I quickly learned (much to my shock, horror, and embarrassment) that I had made an appointment for their sister store in Los Angeles (where I'm from, but had traveled to Philly to shop with my family). Despite the *major* snafu, Lovely Bride showed an immense level of sympathy and understanding (and tried to cheer me up in the process). Through a combination of luck and their thoughtfulness, they squeezed me in for a late afternoon appointment and scrambled to learn as much about me as they could to make my shopping experience a wonderful, memorable success. I am so thankful to them (and to the team in Los Angeles who showed care and understanding when I had to cancel that appointment). Wedding planning is so stressful and my silly mistake could have spelled disaster for a special weekend I had planned with my mom and MOH and so I really appreciate the staff's willingness to accommodate me. I said yes to the dress yesterday and had an incredible experience with Lissa. She was excited and genuine throughout the process. I tried on about six dresses and she pulled one for me based on me saying I liked the designer (Watters). When I put the dress on and compared to the others, there was no question. My Mom and I were floored and the rest was so easy. I also went to BHLDN earlier, which was a good experience and I thought I had found the dress there too, but the selection and attention at Lovely Bride can't be beat. I also appreciated that we had our own room but they didn't overlap you with other brides in the main, full mirror room. Lovely Bride is an amazing store for the bride who is looking for an untraditional gown by more boutique, boho designers. The store itself is beautiful and made for such a great experience. All of their dresses are in easy to browse racks in the middle of the store. The consultant brings you back into a personal room and you discuss budget and what you are looking for. Then the two of you browse the racks, which are full of so many amazing and unique gowns it makes it hard to choose! I worked with Julie who was so sweet and knowledgeable! She was more than happy to let me pick a few on my own and came up with so many great considerations. In the end I chose a beautiful Rue De Seine dress. I can't recommend both Lovely Bride and the designer Rue De Seine enough! read more

She had a range of price points and was able to specially-order the style I wanted from a designer I saw online. Everyone at the store was, well, lovely! I cannot recommend Lovely Bride highly enough! I was not looking forward to going dress shopping. It seemed like it was going to be a stressful, superficial, demoralizing experience. Lovely Bride Philly really made dress buying a positive experience for the following reasons: 1. They had BEAUTIFUL dresses *AND* in my price point. Most importantly, they had many "nontraditional" wedding dresses. I did not want a big, froufrou wedding dress (which they did have some of if you were interested), but they had a large selection of less fussy, vintage-y and unique gowns. Their dresses were really wonderful. 2. The saleswoman was amazing! She was not pushy AT ALL, and did not make me feel like I had to buy something. She did not tell me silly stuff like the other stores did where they praise how something looks even though it obviously looks ridiculous. The saleswomen at the other stores I went to kept telling me cheesy (and stressful!) things like, "This is the most important thing you buy in your life!" The saleswoman at Lovely Bride Philly was low key, honest and kind. 3. It was easy to make an appointment, and all of their other customer service was impeccable. My mom lives thousands of miles away and was not able to come to Philly to help me find a dress, and they were very understanding when I asked them if I could FaceTime with her during the appointment. A few months later when my mom was able to come into town (but before my dress came in), they also let me come back and try on the dress (even though I had already bought it) so she could see it before my wedding day. Thank you, Aleza! I contacted them about a makeup artist recommendation, and they promptly responded with some suggested vendors. I also bought my earrings here, and they were very helpful throughout that process as well. 4. The salon itself is simple, calming and pretty. It was not tacky and covered in cheesy pictures. The room was private which I really appreciated. By far, Lovely Bride was the best wedding dress salon I went to. Lovely Bride is my favorite bridal salon yet. Aleza helped me pick out and get into dresses. She's extremely friendly and made the process really enjoyable. She's also very experienced and professional. You only have one hour to try dresses on, but I got the feeling that she was trying to work very quickly to try to get me into as many dresses as possible, which was really appreciated. I would've loved a longer appointment but understand they have a lot of people to see. The dress selection is beautiful. The price point varies and can cater a lot of different budgets. I was so impressed with the entire experience from creating my wishlist on the website and scheduling the appointment to saying "Yes!" to my perfect dress, everything was done with so much care and attention. My stylist Lizzy reached out a few days prior to my appointment to ask about budget and ensure the dresses I requested to try on were within the range I was comfortable with. When I arrived at the (gorgeous!) boutique, my dresses were pre-pulled and ready for me to try on. Lizzy was so great at figuring out what I liked and making suggestions for other dresses to try on that might fit what I was looking for. The entire staff handled COVID procedures really well-- and even though I was only able to bring one guest, we really easily added my MOH virtually which was super special. This was the very first place I had an appointment for and was THRILLED with the entire experience. Caroline was our consultant and was super sweet, patient, and seemed to get what kind of dresses I wanted right from the get go. Several times the owner (I believe) popped in to adjust my dresses and offer advice or her opinion, which I actually loved. She seemed very stylish and knowledgeable so she makes you feel very confident. There was one dress I had on that I loved but wasn't quite perfect and they suggested trying it with a tulle overskirt which TOTALLY made me fall in love. I'm still shopping but have nothing but great things to say about these girls and their shop and that tulle skirt dress is still at the top of my list. I wish the appointment times were longer but Caroline made sure we were moving right along though; in just an hour I tried on about 5-6 dresses, some hair accessories, took measurements, and retried on my favorites at the end. Caroline gave me a postcard with my top two dresses that I liked written on it with the prices, which I loved. They also allow pictures which apparently isn't a universal thing but seriously helped! My appointment was followed by a not so stellar stop at Philly Bride, which made this place seem even better since PB seemed hesitant to even verbally tell me the designers of the dresses, let alone write anything down for me. read more

Left yesterday disappointed and sad. I've walked by this place for years waiting for my chance to finally search for the perfect gown. After coming off fun experiences the day before I was so excited for my appointment at lovely! The girl who worked with us had a terrible attitude, did not let me shop and just said "how about this one" with every dress. None of them matched the photos I showed her. It was very uncomfortable to be a size 6 and have every dress I tried on be too small for me. Not sure if this is an exclusive bridal salon or what. It is not welcoming what so ever and not hospitable in the slightest. It's bad when your dress shopping weekend ends like that. Only giving two stars because of the dresses. Had a great experience here with my friend who is getting married. It is a small salon and they do not carry traditional big ballgown dresses so keep that in mind. The space is light, airy, whimsical and the dresses are a reflection of that too. The lady helping us was quick, efficient, and was able to get my friend in and out of about 15 dresses in an hour. She was not pushy, didn't let my friend linger long in dresses she didn't like and kept the appointment moving. There were 6 dresses that stood out, about 2/3 from the same designer, so she encouraged us to come back for the designer's trunk show a few weeks later. Looking forward to the visit! read more

Having been overweight for a good part of my life, I was highly offended when I visited Lovely Bride with my friend looking for THE DRESS and overheard another eager bride requesting a dress she had seen online, only to be told that the dress she referenced was meant for 6' model type women. When the bride then asked to be shown the dresses available for her viewing she was insensitively told they only carry a small section of dresses for women in her size. REALLY? The look on that brides face was heartbreaking, to say the least. What a way to deflate this young woman's expectations on finding the PERFECT, or LOVELY dress for her wedding day. Clearly, LOVELY BRIDE has a predetermined idea of what LOVELY looks like and clearly anyone outside their definition is made to feel unwelcome and undesirable. I wasn't looking for a dress on that day, and the bride-to-be I was with would have fit into their schematics, but with so many other options, we all chose to search for our bride's dress elsewhere where ALL sizes were equally welcomed and assisted in finding THE PERFECT DRESS with the same zeal and excitement REGARDLESS of the BRIDE-TO-BE's size.
