Even though she was out of the country at the time, she promptly returned my call. It was decided that she would visit my home to establish a price for a required deep clean prior to starting an every other week schedule. When she visited my house, she was very thorough and quickly pointed out all of the ways in which my family lives in a disgusting house! Kidding. She was not at all judgmental but definitely set an expectation relative to what would be cleaned upon that initial visit - all of the window coverings (plantation shutters), all window sills, door frames, all baseboards, wood floors (washed and dried by hand), tops of kitchen cabinets (people actually clean that??), all light fixtures, exhaust fans, etc. I'm going into such detail to make sure it is obvious why I truly expected my house to be spotless. The first day, I was to have three people for an unlimited time (Violett said they would clean until all of the work was done). They were a few minutes late and only two showed up (one was sick). No big deal. The two ladies were extremely pleasant, and I had very high hopes. After they left, i looked around. Some things weren't done or weren't done well. Ok. Maybe they were exhausted by the time they reached the last of the rooms. Violett called later that day to see if I was satisfied. I told her that her people were really nice but I was a little surprised that a few things weren't done well or at all (particularly in the kitchen). I was surprised because my expectation had been set when Violett first looked at my house. She said that they must have been tired because it is not usually a job for two people but that they would start in the kitchen next time and do a deep clean of the kitchen. I thanked her and felt her customer service was appropriate. Well, along cake visit two. About twenty minutes or so late. Not fatal but a trend perhaps. I had a few very specific things I was looking for after they left. They missed almost everything they missed the first time around (except the cabinets!). I hadn't told Violett about all missed things, because I wanted to give the team another try. Things missed (both times): the exhaust fan in my boys' bathroom, window sills - two dead flies in each of the kitchen windows (had to actually open shutters to see), cup marks on granite counters, plus rag marks from where the counters were wiped. I could go on, but I am truly not trying to be petty. And I am definitely not picky. I'm pretty relaxed about the house, actually, but a high expectation had been set, and it simply wasn't met. Again, Violett followed up, but I had to tell her to remove me from the schedule. Maybe it just depends on who you get....

They were efficient in their cleaning and tackled more than I expected: cleaning the stove grates, inside the oven, inside kitchen cabinets, dining room light fixture, and even some of the waist level trim in our dining room. Some fine detailing (base trims, electrical outlets, walls) were not done, but that is something i would categorized as a deep clean so that was fine by me. Halfway through (when they were done with the finished basement) they asked me to inspect their work and to tell them if they missed anything. I really appreciated that offer! I commented on a couple of things and they were happy to address them. I definitely think I'll use their service again! Great value for great work. He then asked me to remove the mention of a refund from my review because other people might try to take advantage, and to please take down the photos because it's hard to run a small business. Though he acknowledged "I know it's too much to ask," it's totally inappropriate. I told him that it's unethical and against Yelp's terms of service to ask a customer to remove factual information from a review, and that it's not my responsibility to manage his company's reputation or what other people might do based on an honest review. Going back to two stars for these inappropriate tactics.

The previously neglected areas of our house was left sparkling. We've had our house cleaned around eight (8) different times (before CleaningDash cleaned our house today), and we have been unhappy every single time. We have a large house (for Chicago) and every cleaning company seems to have disclaimers about how to prep one's house ahead of the cleaning. CleaningDash did have similar disclaimers, but at the end of the cleaning the disclaimers did not matter. Our house is now cleaner than it has ever been. At one point in the past, we even paid for two (2) cleaners to double-team our house, and their work product was disappointing compared to CleaningDash. Our cleaning service worked tirelessly to make sure our house was as clean as possible. CleaningDash's cleaning service was so far beyond every other cleaning service we have hired in the past, I know we won't be able to go to another cleaning service after this exception experience- it would be a waste of our time, and a waste of our energy. We are so happy with the service we received from CleaningDash, I don't even know what to say other than we will be a repeat customer, and I will share the company's information with other people in hopes of driving more business to CleaningDash!
