The man who works there has an attitude problem, but others are doing great and they are really nice

No good. He Took off my old SNS with an electric sander/buffer (don't know the name of the tool). In the process he took half my nail off with it leaving my nails weak and thin. He also cut my finger with the tool and drew blood. Instead of stopping to make sure I was ok he just kept going. I had to stop him to tell him I wanted to clean the cut out. He'd even joked prior to this "if I hurt you don't kick me." I'm positive this guy had absolutely no clue what he was doing as he was extremely sloppy and had slipped the tool off my nails several times scratching my skin before it actually cut me. I explained to him and the shop manager that I wasn't upset that he cut me because mistakes happen but just wanted to be assured that the tool had been sanitized prior to being used on me. They refused to answer this and I ended up leaving. read more

I've been here 4-5 times now for solar nails and mani/pedis. Every time I've left pretty pleased! Everyone is very pleasant and good at what they do. The guy who's always here is talented, efficient and his nails last FOREVER. I've only been to her once, but Lisa is the sweetest lady ever! I really enjoyed talking to her, which is weird because I'm not one to strike up a conversation. Unfortunately, sometimes there's loud kids here which slightly dampens the atmosphere, but that's not their fault. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this place, and they have good prices too! read more

Came in for a mani-pedi and got right in. Hou Wen (please forgive me if I'm spelling his name wrong) did them. He did an excellent job and was a great conversationalist. I liked the young guy who did my nails. He's funny and made getting my nails done feel faster which I can appreciate. His mom does eyebrow waxing and I can honestly say she was the best ever. I mean perfection. The place is what u expect for the east side but it was great because I was in a jam and my normal spot was booked up. Will go back esp for the waxing. read more

Worst experience of my life!!!!! The service there was horrible. The guy doing my nails I think his name was hung did such a horrible job. I'm not one to complain or post bad reviews but this was just absolute ridiculous. He was so rough and graving and pulling my hands he didn't file one of my nails correctly. I was so unpleased! Went in for mother daughter pedicures and the fumes were insane... Nose burning and tears in my eyes...we Promptly left!

I hate to announce it... But Lisa is the best with acrylic nails. I lived in many places, and literally whenever I got them done, I would tear them off after a week or two (and I've paid up to $60 for some sets). With Lisa, they could last me months because her application is top notch. Also, the prices are cheap, which is awesome for broke college students. I'm Vietnamese, and I've always been uncomfortable in nail salons because the staff would sometimes talk about customers (nothing too bad, but it makes you wonder what they say about you when you leave) or they would have a bad/fake attitude or they would force me to speak Vietnamese (I wasn't born around other Vietnamese people, so I'm more comfortable speaking English). Honestly, this salon is so friendly, and whenever I get homesick, I would go there just to be in the atmosphere. They just talk about their families or joke around with each other in case you're wondering about what they're saying to each other. The other people on the staff are super friendly and I'm sure they do an awesome job as well (but I'm super committed to Lisa lol). read more

I'm not one of those gals that needs her nails done at some fancy expensive salon where baby piranhas chew the dead skin off your feet. I like cheap cruddy lil places that do a good job, and I don't even care too much about customer service. I wanna get in and out, but WOW that was a HATEFUL mani-pedi I got yesterday, people. My friend that was with me had a better experience. Hers was done by the gentleman sporting some interesting body "art" (yes, I did put those quotation marks in there on purpose). Prison? So perhaps I just got the wrong employee. That's right. The man with the prison tattoos did a gentler job on my companion than the woman working on me. Every five seconds or so (for like, an hour), she fussed about my hand or foot not being in precisely the right position. Or, this is what I surmise. There was no real exchange of words to this extent, just some sort of mumbling (which might have been words, but I honestly know not). It sounded more like a very quiet-and-then-loud-at-the-end, "memomememmamameBA!" I gathered this was an under the breath complaint then scold, as it was always accompanied by a rough repositioning of whatever appendage she was working on. Once or twice, okay. But seriously? The enTIRE time she did this. And then there's the razor-sharp thumb talon that she kept digging into the sides of my nails. There's no excuse for this. At one point I think I did understand something out of her mush-mouth for me to stop moving. Girl. Give me a break. I have a regular, standing gig that involves putting nail polish on a moving target. That's right. A tiny 2 year old girl that came out of my womb and lives in my house demands mini pedis about every week or so. Don't give me this baloney that I'm some overly mobile customer. Like, really. I've not moved my hand or foot this entire time and I cannot read your mind that you need me to to pivot my foot 23 degrees to the left, so quit treating me like you're exasperated with some numbskull with tremors. I'm trying to relax!!! Did I mention the lady passed out in the pedi chair next to mine? Open-mouthed snoring the entire time. An employee. Uh huh. Or the other employee who hacked and sniffled for the entirety of our visit? Go home and get your ass a hot toddy! I love this place!!!! I have been looking for a nail place for a while and had not found anything to my satisfaction. I had tried fancy places and found them mediocre and overpriced. I decided to try this place based on the reviews and how close it is to work. I was pleasantly surprised. The location is not fancy which is fine as long as it is clean and it was. The guy who did my pedicure was great!!! He got rid of all the dead skin and scrubbed my feet very well. He even massaged my toes which was fantastic. I will definitely come back!!! read more

They recommend you make a reservation, but other than that the people are very welcoming when you walk in! While giving pedicures they take a long portion of time to massage and also care for your feet. Which I loved. The eucalyptus lotion they used with the hot rags would have to be my favorite part. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment next month for another pedicure!! read more

I went in there to get a gel manicure which went great!my nails look nice and clean and it didnt take very long. The girl that did my manicure was incredibly nice. It was 25 dollars and to be honest i have no idea whether thats a good price or not as it was the first time i have ever gone to a salon but there ya go. Overall, the place was nice and clean. STAY AWAY!! I just moved to Austin and I have been trying out different salons hoping to find my favorite one. This salon is by far my least favorite one. This salon is the complete opposite of "lovely". Everyone in the salon spoke good English which is great for communication but the quality of their work is not worth the money. I had gotten a full set and I specifically told the technician to please make my nails look as natural as possible and I don't want the nails to look too big for my fingers since I have small fingers. It was as if she didn't listen to a word I said because the nails were obviously a lot bigger than my natural nails and they looked fake which is the opposite of what I asked for I wanted them to look natural. On top of that the top coat she put on was the gel clearcoat nail polish. I didn't know at the time but when it was time for me to get a fill-at another salon, no one would do the fill-in because she put a clear coat gel nail polish on top. they had to redo the entire full set which pissed me off. this just shows that this nail salon is incompetent. read more

Went in on a Saturday evening looking to get my eyebrows waxed. It had been maybe a year since I last had them waxed or threaded by a pro. I'm very picky about my eyebrows but I needed them shaped ASAP. I walked in, sat down and a nice lady greeted and asked what I would like. I asked for a wax and she told me if I could wait a few minutes. I told her, of course since she was busy with another. I waited maybe at least 10 minutes. She then called me to the back. The space is a bit cramped up and a little dirty but it didn't bother me. I wasn't expecting a full spa treatment, I would only be there 5 mins max. Kind woman (sadly, I did not get her name) made small conversation and handed me a hand held mirror to ask how I specifically wanted them shaped. She ended up doing a great job! All I wanted was a clean up and better shaping and she did just that! Not too thin, not too thick, it was perfect! I then payed her and she nicely told me goodbye with a smile and said, "I'll see you again soon!" And I surely will return. Only reason why I won't give 5 stars is because I only went for a wax. Not a big fan of manis and pedis so I cannot judge on that. However, I will go back when I'm in need of a wax. read more
