I went to get a pedicure. In the least weird way possible I take pedicures very seriously. I went in and they were nice as always but this was my first time coming here for a pedicure. He never asked which pedicure package i wanted which irritated me. I kept quite and then i can home to look at my toes and the polish is kinda sloppy and my nailed are not filed very good either. The gentleman was very nice, but the service was horrible! I tried this place because my usual place had a long wait. I got a gel mani-pedi. He didn't even do nail or cuticle care. I even told him my cuticles needed worked on. He didn't clean nails or toes and didn't clean nails or hands. Filing wasn't even, surface of nails have ridges. My hands feel dirtier than when I walked in. The complete manicure and pedicure was less than 45 minutes total. The gel on thumb nail pulled away when I washed my hands when I got home. Never again. I had always enjoyed this place . Yet feel need a translator so the ladies can understand. Last time I was there the lady didn't understand she was giving me the wrong polish at all. So sat there thinking this sucks . Called and left message with owner and went back in as the owner was awesome . The older nail lady was angry horrible customer service . This is my go to nail salon when I come back to town to visit my parents. Not only is it right down the road from them, but it's a quality place. They take reservations, but also accept walk-ins. Even as a walk-in during Covid they still get you in fairly quickly and have spaced out seating for you to wait. The first time I went here, I had Larry and absolutely loved him! After that, my mom started going to him regularly and also loves him! He does, toes, he does nails, he does designs, he does eyebrows... you name it, Larry is your guy! Everyone is very friendly though, so it doesn't really matter who you get! Their location has LOTS of space, almost double manicure and pedicure stations than salons typically have, so right now with Covid if you're worried about spacing, no need to fear. They have a ton of color options and do it all -- regular, gel & sns. Most importantly... They don't skimp on massaging during your pedicures and to me that is EVERYTHING! But, don't just take it from me, go try them out yourself! read more

I am a student at USI, and I have been going to Lovely Nails for roughly a year now. I am not from Evansville so I was nervous to try and find a nice place to get my nails done around here but I found it. I agree with some other reviews that the place can be busy, so I would factor in some wait time whenever you go, but it's 100% worth the wait. Every time I have gone here to get my nails done, the workers always do their best to help me in whatever way they can. They always make sure that my nails are cleaned up nice with no messy edges, help me to find the exact color I have in mind, and attempt new designs I want even though they have never done them before. Not to mention, Lovely Nails has very affordable prices for college students compared to other nail salons. I normally don't go out of my way to write reviews like this but I don't think this place gets the credit it deserves. I have never had a single bad experience getting my nails done here and I highly recommended it! My friend has been recommending this nail salon for over a year and so when I had an event to get ready for last week, I thought I would try it out. I got a glittery gold pedicure that turned out beautifully. They were very accommodating to my requests. I have been going here for years not always happy with some of the services but never complained. The last time I went to get nail repaired because they always just sand off old polish and my nails were just breaking off. I always get the gel cause it lasts longer. The girl I got and did not want because she is very bossy and very rude...had her once in the past and was not happy with her then. I couldn't understand her and she started yelling in her language. My favorite nail salon in town. I have legitimately been going here for 19-20 years! Michael always does my nails but everyone is great here. During the day is the best time to go so you don't have a long wait. I never make an appointment, I always just walk in and the longest wait I've ever had was 15 minutes. I've gotten manis, pedis, gel nails, dip. I've loved my nails each time! If my gel nail unfortunately chips not long after coming in I return and they'll fix it. Very reasonable prices! read more

I will never go here again. I went two months ago to try out "dip" nails - and my nails are still ruined. I got there at around 10 am with two other girls - we didn't request to sit together. We said we wanted to try the dip nails. About an hour went by - and I didn't mind the wait, but regulars would walk in, complain when told there was a wait, then they were sat immediately. Literally at one point a woman walked in, found out it was an hour wait, left and a technician chased her out and worked on her immediately. When we were eventually waited on, I asked my technician if he could do the dip nails. He said yes, but was clearly reading instructions the entire time. He rushed through the process, and at several points I felt my hands burning from the chemical mix. When he finished my nails didn't look good at all, but I figured I'd give it a few days and see how it lasted. Not even a few days later my nails chipped. What's worse is that when I did take my nails off (with tin foil packs I got at target) I found that my nails were completely destroyed. I take hair, skin & nail vitamins everyday and my nails are still brittle and scraped up from this poor job. TL;DR: the service sucks (they prefer regulars over anyone else) and I've gone two months with terrible nails because of their lack of attention. I patiently waited to get a manicure for 30 minutes, which is fine because they were busy. When it was finally my turn, the woman completely rushed through the job and slapped on some polish as quickly as she could. My nails look HORRIBLE. She didn't even clean up my cuticles, and my nails still have snags where she didn't properly file because she was in such a rush. And to add insult to injury, she charged me $15 for this. Well I've been coming to this nail salon off and on for many years. The service and quality you get absolutely depends on the nail tech. Usually I get one or two of the nail techs that are patient and calm and I enjoy the experience. Not today, today I got a nail tech that rushed through both my manicure and pedicure and made me feel super anxious the whole time! He was very aggressive and it was extremely uncomfortable. He reached and pulled at my hands without warning. I usually recommend this place, but I'm going to have to reconsider. My friend went with me and she got a fill in and she was cut five times with acrylic left under her nails and all over her fingers when he was done. Literally the worst manicure I have ever had. 1. My manicure was done in 5 minutes (definitely takes longer) 2. I was cut multiple times and blood was visible on my nail beds. 3. My nails weren't completely painted the sides and top were left bare so 2/3 of my nail actually got painted 4. There were brush streaks all on the top of each nail because they went so fast the color coat didn't dry enough to have the clear coat on top so I have bare streaks on my nails. 5. They cut off skin on my finger next to my nail which I have never had happen ever at any nail salon because it's part of the finger not the nail. Overall worst experience I have ever had. Please don't waste your money at this nail salon. They will charge you a crazy amount for the worst nails and experience. read more

If I could give this a zero I would. My nails looks so bad! I got French gel and there is white paint splotched on the top parts of every nail. They are bumpy, uneven. He did not clean the underneath of my nails at all. I am pretty easy to please with my nails and I'm embarassed to even go out in public with my nails like this. My girlfriend booked an appointment on the day of her wedding rehearsal. There were 3 of us total. They were expecting us but also had another (much larger) bridal party. Cons -We sat for about 40 minutes with our feet in the water -Unsure of the prices/miscommunication. When she asked if I wanted gel nails, I thought she meant acrylic. There were prices on the window for manicure, pedicure, acrylic, and fill in. When I didn't want acrylic I didn't know the gel (which I later figured must mean shellac) was the option of the manicure. The end price was less than a manicure/pedicure prices on the window. Pros -I never enjoy 'relaxing' music, but actually did enjoy theirs -Several chairs that were newer and nicer than other places I've been -Several people working on a Friday night (around 5 or 6, I think) I'm sure this is a great place most times, but it was disappointing to have an appointment and not feel like it helped at all. Just slapped some polish on my nails. She was rude, rude, rude! Won't give all the dirty details, just saying my experience with her was horrible. And she still expected a tip. WTF? Even worse, pretty sure she was the owner. And a "manicurist" at another station was clipping customer's nails, and clippings were flying so far, they were hitting customers sitting in waiting area. I've given this establishment several chances to win me over, but they keep disappointing me. In the past, I have been passed over although I have signed in; that doesn't seem to matter because they never pay attention to their list and just cater to certain people. Today was the worst I have been treated. Passed over again, sat with feet in water for 40 minutes, then had gentleman rush through my pedicure. Polish job was sloppy. Same with my nails. He seemed in an extreme hurry and couldn't slow down to do my nails neatly. He messed up several times. I left with polish on my fingers and under my nails. He also cut a toe and a finger! The first time I got my nails done there I loved them, when i went back for a fill in the manicurist rounded them off and they were uneven and looked horrible, i told her i needed to come back to get them fixed and she screwed them up even more. So disappointment. The last time we arrived I waited for an hour!
