As other reviewers said, it's a great place for a quick nail job in a pinch. My boyfriend and I walked in at 1pm the Friday before the 4th and the owner, Lin, was very kind and talked with us the entire time. She provided us with ice cold water and even offered us cookies. For a gel pedicure, male pedicure (no polish), cut/sand fingernails for bf, and tip, it was $89, so a great deal for what you get, especially compared to other spots! She told us that she is the only nail tech at the moment. read more

I received truly the worst manicure of my life here. 5 nails have chipped since I left the salon a few days ago. There was literally a hair from one of the brushes that was sealed into my nail. When I asked her to fix it she said I was touching my hair and that's where it came from. I have blonde hair, it wasn't from my hair. Poor experience. Sloppy pedicure. Did not dry properly. Smeared an hour later when I put shoes on. Overpriced, and never mentioned that they don't accept credit cards until I went to pay. Then told me they had an ATM machine I could use!!! Thankfully I had cash. Sullen rude technician. Don't bother. read more

Pedicure was ok but horrible manicure - you can see in picture nails weren't filed straight and gel polish looks sloppy. Worst thing was the woman in there (Lynn) had a terrible attitude. I picked a lighter blue color from her wheel and this definitely didn't match - which she kept arguing was the same. Maybe she's color blind? I just think if you're going to be in the customer service business, then smile & treat customers nicely. Don't scowl and huff and act like you'd rather be doing something else. This was my first visit after driving by for many years. I was able to get an appointment at my convenience. I needed a gel polish removal and reapplication. Lin, the owner/manicurist, did an excellent job. My nails never looked better! I will definitely go again when I'm due for another manicure and probably treat myself to a pedicure as well! read more

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt but the low star reviews are accurate. The gentleman who did my nails was very pleasant. The shop is a typical shop in a strip mall and my fill was done beautifully but the polish is terrible. He repainted the nails twice and it still has smudges and lines. I was on my lunch break so I couldn't stay for him to try a third time but honestly it just wasn't going to get any better. Save yourself the aggravation. Go somewhere else. read more

So I thought the person who wrote the review saying that you'd be better off having a kindergartener paint your nail was being dramatic. Nope, she is not being dramatic. I walked in for a pedicure and the place was empty so they were able to take me immediately. But, then two appointments showed up. So my pedicure took about twelve minutes. They didn't clean my nails, my big toe is filed crooked and the polish is sloppy. To be fair she did try to fix the polish with remover. I wasn't here for a relaxing experience - my vacation toes were just getting chipped and I needed new polish. I would have been better off doing it myself. And it was $25 dollars. I'm mad that I even agreed to pay but I wasn't sure what to do and I'm on vacation and don't feel like fighting with people. read more

I've been to the salon twice. Last summer, 2015, when a young man did my toes. The salon was full of clients. Good sign? Nope. Most everyone was sullen, complaining about the work done and generally a dismal atmosphere. My pedicure was sloppy and painful. My feet were scrubbed violently and I protested by saying ,"you are hurting me!". He laughed at me! Time marches on...late spring 2016 one more try, the salon - totally empty ,I took a chair and and in less then 20 minutes I was finished, paid and getting into my car! My cuticles were ripped , nails shredded and polish seemed to run and remained tacky for hours. I took off the polish at home a few hours later. I suspect the tools they used were not sharp, the attitude of owner is lacking! And I suspect the nail polishes are cut with an extender. Avoid the salon. They do not care about their work,safety or YOU. Just go down the street to CVS, buy some stuff and sit in the parking lot and do your nails. You'll be better off. Minus 3 stars. Not the one star I had to give for this review to be posted. read more

I would not return to this salon. The owner was rude and short with me. When I asked for a gel instead of a regular manicure she became more frustrated with me. I highly recommend all to avoid this salon. It was not relaxing and my nails do not look like they were done by a professional. read more

I am happy that this nail salon, so close to my home, has new nail technicians - Tien and his lovely wife Mai. I have gone to Tien's salon in Orleans for years and years, and when he lost his lease (actually, it was stolen from under him...) he decided to join his mother, owner of Lovely Nails, for the summer while he waits for his new salon to be ready. Before he relocated to Chatham, I needed a quick pedicure and went to Lin at Lovely Nails, even after reading the horrible reviews, and I was happy with the results. It was a clean, neat, simple pedicure. I've noticed that so many of the previous reviews on Yelp are years old. I would encourage you to try Lovely Nails again, especially with Tien and Mai (and their cousin whose name escapes me) there to give professional and friendly mani/pedis/gels/acrylics. read more

I'm a local and this is my go-to place for quick, fast, cheap, No frills, maintenance pedicures. Walk ins totally welcome but be clear and precise for what you are there for when you walk in. The small man in the front will bark at you if you fumble. Be prepared to get in and get out! It's great for the last minute - "o sh*t I forgot to do my toes". I'm not sure why people have left such bad reviews, they aren't reflective of my experience. There were no overt health code violations or unsanitary practices that I saw. I got a mani-pedi and I thought it turned out well. Fancy spa quality? No, but it was exactly what could be expected from a cheap, strip mall nail salon. And truth be told, there's nothing wrong with that if the price is right (which, for $37 it absolutely was). The walk-in wait was about 15 minutes long, but once the manicurist saw me, I felt she took her time and gave me a decent mani-pedi. I got a "so called" french pedicure and it was by far the worst I ever had, the nail tech attempted several times to paint the white strip at the top of the nail but it resulted it her actually painting half of my nail white, she then tried going back several times to make the strip smaller but it ended up being completely uneven and looked awful, the white polish was all over my toes too. I have a second home in Chatham so the location is convenient but I will never go back. read more

When I asked her to clean up my cuticles she pretended to do so (the cuticle scissors was spotless! Ladies you know what I'm talking about). A great place. It is summer and they are open 7 days a week! I made an appt, but I was the only name in the book. Mostly walk-ins. They are fast and thorough. It is a family run operation and even the guys work there doing nails. Great polish selection (OPI and another brand I forget). I got a mani-pedi for only $37. That's great!!! I saw a 20-something pay for her mani (I had the seat right next to the front desk) and she left NO TIP. Shame on her. read more

Not the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. Nail clippings on the towel during my manicure and I am pretty sure they "cleaned" the tools by rinsing them in the bowl they used for my manicure. It was quick though and I was in a rush. $37 for a manicure and pedicure. Staff was friendly enough. read more

Jenny K.... I was the other customer who confronted Lin. This was the WORST customer experience I have ever witnessed. I have never left a YELP review, but really felt the need to after what I witnessed. The worst part..Lin could have cared less about her behavior. She treated this customer.....who by the way had left a $14 tip, absolutely horribly. This women was kind, polite and was just simply asking for her nail to be fixed the right way. Not so Lovely Nails is what they should be called, Terrible Place! Don't go there! We were told to come back in an hour which we did and they acted all surprised by our presence. I just wanted a basic manicure and my daughter, a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. They rushed both of us and a day later my nails are so sticky, I can feel the polish melting off my nails. My daughter feels the same way, her gel manicure wa rushed and has already started to peel. They also didn't give us a price break on the two basic items. I'm regretting the fact that I tipped them so take my advice and go somewhere else! read more

I waited a half hour for a manicure to be treated in an unbelievably unprofessional and rude manner by the owner the salon. First, she was unhappy that she filled the pedicure basin and I didn't ask for one. Then, she asked me to sit down at a manicure table that had a dirty towel and nail clippings from a previous client. When I asked for a clean towel. She slammed on the nail salon cart and said you are picky, then shook out the dirty towel in front of me on the floor. Then she loudly said "you too picky! Go somewhere else! I don't have time for you!" Pretty bad! I waited 30 minutes to be offered a dirty towel, abusive language and to be asked to leave. It is almost funny if it wasn't so annoying. read more

This place is pretty terrible. I went with a few other family members and it was a massive rip off. The pedicure lasted about 2 minutes and she basically clipped my toenails and was done. Still charged $27 . I am a male, so I did not get my nails painted or anything extra. I would give zero stars if possible. Express pedicure is like going thru an express car wash. They whip thru it & do a terrible job. We were the only 2 in there when it opened. All of a sudden they got slammed & i think they gave us the xpress-xpress pedicure. Next day I went in & asked for a refund & the owner literally laughed at me. Pay a little extra money & go to Oasis near the post office. There's only a few other places in Chatham to go. I'll go elsewhere next summer for sure. read more

This place gives the absolute worst pedicures! They are very unfriendly, gave no leg massage, sloppy polish and cuticle trim was horrible. My daughter's polish came off the next day! The owner of this salon, Lin, was extremely rude to a customer while I was getting my pedicure. The customer had just had her nails done, asked if she was dry enough to leave and was told yes. She did leave only to return a few minutes later because 2 of her nails were in need of repair. Lin was rude about fixing her nails, said she complained too much, did finally fix the nails, but the wrong color of polish was used to correct the issue. Customer was told to "sit down" and had to wait. I understand that others were being attended to, however Lin would not listen as the customer attempted to explain how the same name of the polish was mistakenly placed on 2 different colors. She had 2 different colors on her own nails as a result. Another customer who was witnessing this exchange left the salon confronting Lin and telling her she had never seen a customer being treated so rudely. Everyone was extremely uncomfortable. Other words were batted back and forth. I will not go to this salon again. read more

I would have given this place no stars, if that was an option. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before going. I ignored the unappealing display of polishes and sat down at the manicure station. The towel was dirty. The owner/manicurist pushed back my cuticles while looking around the room. I asked her to go over a few cuticles again. I didn't know this request would be the beginning of the end. She packed up her tools and told me I was "too picky" and that she "didn't have time for me." Her employee/son told me I was being "kicked out." I was completely shocked! My friend said not to worry about it and quietly said I should yelp the salon. The employee/son called us "assholes" and said,"Thank you for ruining a small business on the Cape."
