Purchased 5 items, 3 Apple Fritters and 2 Boston. Creams, total $15.25 Umm, okay, must be a lot of eggs in these recipes. The clerk packed them in a half-dozen box in the back (not from the front case, where everything looked beautiful) and checked me out. With tip, I spent $19.25. I got home, opened the box and saw the Boston Creams with entire squished sides as if they'd been handled while super hot. The taste was okay, only half had been filled with cream and the chocolate frosting all over the top, sides and bottom and crumbling off. We ate the apple fritters this morning, and it was quite doughy with few apple pieces. They were also quite flat, so no nooks and crannies for bits of glaze to cling. It's been months since I bought donuts, so I was disappointed at the product I paid for. If I get the craving again, I'll stick to Voodoo or Cal's. ‍ read more

Short: Fresh, great tasting, and decent selection. Quick and Quiet. Visited early September 2022. I arrived around 11am. The selection of doughnuts was very decent, however none of them are labeled. The shop was quiet and empty, just one single lady behind the register. A donut is $1.50 unless fancy and not donut holes. I got whipped cream and chocolate circular doughnut. It was just WOW. It was warm, tasted so fresh, and it makes me crave even in my sleep. They do have signs saying fresh and hot donuts until 11am. They do sell coffee and other beverages. The coffee fixings are on top of a table and napkins are thin but stocked. I would love to visit again during the morning and try more of a selection. But I haven't had a doughnut so fresh in a while. read more

I'm not sure when donuts became my thing, but it's been a few years of a donut kick and I don't mind at all. So while in the area, I had a few mins and stopped by for a little treat. It's not a terribly fancy location, but it doesn't need to be. It's a little strip mall spot--actually located on the "island" part of the strip mall, not the main anchor strip. Parking is a cinch, and I walked in to a case full of donuts. This is a simple kind of shop, so don't expect the hipster varieties of bourbon-infused this or matcha tea that. Just old fashioned old fashioneds, glazeds, bars, maple, cake, and so on. They seemed to have some kind of a deal going on all the time (Tuesdays when it's cloudy get a half dozen for $5 and change, Thursdays if you have a green car get any donut just by performing a dance routine) so if you're local, get to know what the real rhythm and offers are, and don't try the dance routine thing because that was clearly an exaggerated example. Or do try it, you never know. I loaded up a small box with a half dozen, and did venture out to the cookies n' cream variety. They are definitely big and billowy and soft. I had a chocolate bar that was tremendously light and airy, and a Boston creme that was also light, if not quite shy on the custard. There was a slight oil aftertaste that wasn't my total fave, but the price was more than enough to make up for it. It's a quick stop with efficient service and good prices. Maybe not the place you pick up a dozen to impress party guests, but a great place to get a snack, treat, or try a few donuts when you have a minute. read more

An alright donut shop that caters to those that like more traditional donuts instead of over-the-top creative pastries you see in the news and the like. The yellow "Bizzy Jeans" sign shines in the left corner atop the tan building complex it is a part of. Inside is your basic coffeeshop/donut shop interior: a glossy brown floor loaded with chairs and tables left unoccupied, as a majority of customers order and then leave. You have your display counter of all the available donuts, a "hot" section that seemed to be without lights, and a menu above it all to denote the pricing. Ordering was fine - a glazed crueler, hot fritter, and a maple bar - even if the clerk didn't send off the most welcoming of signals. It felt just like a business: go in, decide what you want, and then go. The donuts themselves ranged from fair to really good, and that is what is compelling me to give them 3 stars. The maple bar and crueler were okay but were really missing flavor. The maple bar simply didn't have enough of a maple taste, and the crueler was off. It wasn't spongy like all previous versions I've had, but dripped with either butter or the glaze itself making it soggy. But then there's the apple fritter, which was warm, cinnamon-y goodness in a massive donut. It was really good and it simply melted in my mouth. Compared to the first two, this fritter knocked it out of the park. However, it caused me to pause and ask why any of the other donuts paled in comparison to the final one. Mixed reviews for me. I bought two of my favorite doughnuts here- a maple bar and a twist. I assumed that all doughnuts were made fresh daily, but not sure if this is true here. The maple bar was good. I enjoyed it. However the twist wasn't good. I think it might not have been fresh. The icing just crumbled off when I bit into it. Also, I have always experienced twists to have cinnamon in them however this one just felt like a basic plain glazed doughnut in the form of a twist. I ate half and threw the other half in the garbage can. I will give this place another try. But next time I will ask how fresh it is before buying. read more

They do have bacon maple bars now and a variety of all the classics. 10.50 for a basic dozen with a dollar upcharge per premium donut like apple fritters, bear claws, giant sized maple bars etc. Since I have tried nearly every donut my favorite has been the glazed old fashioned. The frosting was good but I have to say, I'd give a one star for the maple donuts and wouldn't recommend them unless they offered a taste of a corner of one of them first. I mean, it's right in the same parking lot as the Safeway I frequently shop at, and the moment you open the door and walk in, you're hit with the wonderful scent of doughnuts! Mmmmmmmm, paradise! My favorite doughnuts there are the big maple bar, sprinkle doughnuts, and even their doughnut holes. There's nothin' better than droolin' with excitement when I enjoy a big maple bar that tastes like it was made with whole grains. Deeeeeeeeeeeeeee-licious! The woman at the counter is so upbeat and cheery every time I come in. She always waits to hear me sing to her! Recently, I told her a Shel Silverstein poem, and she was really impressed with my delivery, especially with the inflection of my voice. I, in turn, love her accent. I think she told me she's from the Philippines, though to me her accent sounds more like Spanish. Doughnuts and smiles go hand in hand with one another. What could be better than servin' up smiles?
