I'd love to provide a review of a fantastic experience that I had yesterday (5/20/2024) at this store. I was having car trouble en route from Frostburg MD to Annapolis MD. My 2015 Audi Q7 started making a terrible noise as if something was dragging under the vehicle. I was in a pretty remote area by myself with my vehicle packed to the gills with the contents of my son's dorm room. I was lost on a back road following directions to a gas station when a friendly mom waiting at a bus stop for her child suggested I make my way to Love's. It was a stressful 6 mile drive, but I am very grateful for her advice! I arrived at Love's in a stressed state, thinking that I was about to need to call AAA, get towed, unload the entire contents of the vehicle, and maybe stay in a hotel as I was over 2 hours from home. I walked in and asked the first person I saw if there was a mechanic available. Almost immediately, there were 3 employees around me, chatting, asking about what was going on, being supportive, and calling back to Brandon who came to my aid right away. It was clear that there is a policy at Love's that the service department is intended for truck drivers/18 wheelers. It was also clear that Love's employees have the autonomy to help a person in need of help if the situation permits. It took them about 60 seconds to decide to help me. Brandon's only condition was that I remove any Taylor Swift CDs from playing before he checked out the car. This lightened the mood! Brandon checked out my tires, took the car for a short drive in the parking lot, and looked under the hood. He determined that one of my tires was likely slightly misaligned and that the extra load from the dorm contents was causing the tread to hit differently and therefore make this noise. He said that his professional advice (and the advice he would give to his wife/kids) would be to head home, despite the noise, and have the alignment checked within a week or so. He also said that the noise would possibly stop at some point on my drive as the vehicle gradually adjusted to the load. This all turned out to be true! I am home safely, the dorm contents have been unloaded, and I'm about to call my local mechanic to take a look at the alignment. Everyone in this store clearly aligns (no pun intended) with the values that you share on your website: Clean Places, Friendly Faces in each location across the country, every day. Very nice Love's Travel stop in the heartland of Maryland. This truck stop is located right off interstate 68. Clean restrooms and showers with no long waits during the day hours. Parking here is not too bad at all. Definitely one of the more convenient truck stops for the fast and easy pit stop from them long hours of driving. read more

I actually seek out Love's Travel Stops. They are a truck stop, but don't let that fool you, they are for everyone. I made a purchase of washer fluid on the road, but also utilized their tidy restroom. Staff was meh, but they were busy. I also filled up at the pump without a hitch. They offered wash and paper towels for travelers. The general area was clean. There is also a solid McDonald's attached with a walk through to the store. I reviewed them as well. I would recommend and return to Love's Travel Shops. 3.5 rounding up. read more

Welcomed with a sincere smile, immediately, as I walked in to the store, set this convenience store from others. The gas service pumps are easy to access. The restrooms restrooms are large and clean. Snacks and travel gear are available. Prices were consistent with other gas along the route. Easy on and off from highway US68 ramps make this a great stop. read more

On a recent road trip I needed to stop and get gas on my way home. I had been putting it off for some time and really riding on E. I should have paid attention what was around me and not have waited until the last minute to do so. That is in the past, obviously, and I ended up here as I was really in need of fuel. This is on the outskirts of Cumberland, and honestly it is an odd thing to see. In the midst of the mountains you basically have a truck stop. Along with this Love's there is a McDonald's and a Sleep Inn. It is quite the odd mix. The McDonald's is connected as being in the same building. The hotel is by itself, but on the same lot. When I say that this is a truck stop, take that into consideration when I talk about the size of the lot. It is huge to accommodate said trucks, but I have no idea what was going on the day that I stopped here. I felt as if I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. This lot was filled to the brim with people. Vehicle everywhere and a total horrible experience to be had in the lot. I was irritated. The irritation continued when I attempted to pull up to the pumps. There were more than enough pumps to take care of full needs. However, there were several pumps that were broken. I pulled up to the first one and there was a bag over the pump handle. Second pump, I pull up, insert my card, and it doesn't work. Move to my third pump. Mind you each time I moved, I had to wait in a line of vehicles to get gas. At least the last pump worked. What made it worse here was that all the spots were taken up by people not using the business. They were having some type of gathering or another. I still don't know what was going on. With those spots taken up it ultimately caused the backup at the pumps. A lot of the customers (me included) who needed to go inside had to remain at the pumps as there were no spots to park in. I used the facilities when I went inside, they were decently taken care of. I only went to grab a drink and go. It was much faster inside than outside. I felt bad having contributed to the backup in the lot. Leaving here was probably the easiest task, well that is after you get on the road. read more

this place steals your money...make sure you keep an eye on your cash and count your change before leaving register she gave me wrong change insisted she was right I requested she prove by video and when she could not she still refused to give me correct change I left having had $10 stolen out of my wallet willing to bet they all split it up among themselves I will never patronize a Love's travel stop again read more

Helpful and quick cashier when the fuel pump wasn't automatically taking my credit card. This place was very busy with lots of pump bays. Big convenience store inside. And best of all they have a fenced in area next to the parking lot where your dog could run around off leash! read more

One of my favorite Love's truck stops in the country. Showers are clean and the water gets super hot! There is a Mcdoanlds restaurant located inside of the store. The food is pretty good. There is a Sleep Inn hotel in walking distance if you want to stretch out. I highly recommend this place. read more

On I-68 where reliable places for food, fuel, and sleep are hard to find, you can't get any more convenient that this Love's. It is literally right off the interstate (Exit 46 eastbound, 47 westbound) and you don't have to go far. They have the staple convenience mart, not to mention a McDonald's and a Subway. I had my lunch at the latter, and it was no better or worse than a stand-alone Subway. If you sit facing outside you get a nice view of northbound US 220 going up the hill from the plaza, the whole area lends itself to picture taking. The mart also has showers for truckers, and an assortment of auto and truck parts if God forbid you're on long road trip and you need one. The restrooms are well maintained also. A Sleep Inn is on the same lot if you want to spend the night. As busy as this location can get, I would recommend reservations. Most "truck stops" are stay-away places for car people like most of us, but this Love's is an exception. It's suitable for anybody, which is why I give it five stars. read more

I love....Love's! This one was clean, and the staff were friendly. The fuel pumps were well taken care of, and the bathrooms were clean. I use to be an OTR truck driver, and I have showered at this Love's many times.....now as a "four wheeler driver".....it is still a great place to fuel up and grab a bite to eat. read more

The gas pumps are in good shape since it is a newer gas station... the bathrooms while you can tell they are newer they could most certainly be cleaner. Stopped in to fuel up and get a caffeine fix. The staff could improve their customer service. The first register I came to, I was told by the attendant I needed to go to the next register if I wanted to be waited on, her screen was stuck she said and she had no idea when it was going to be fixed. The next one I went to on the other end of the gas station, the young girl was rude, not attentive, she continued to entertain two men that were not buying anything while I stood at the register. She then came over and went to the other register and just looked at me... I walked over and checked out but they definitely need some work at this gas station. read more

We stopped there on May 23. We ate at the Subway located inside. It was pretty good. There is also a McDonalds. When I was trying to get on the Wi-Fi it appeared that I had to give a credit card for the Loves Wi-Fi. We used the McDonalds one instead. The Subway was clean and so were the restrooms. We didn't buy anything in the store but they sold quite a few different items. After we ate lunch, we got gas. It was a convenient place to stop. read more
