I had to try some of the food and I'm sorry I didn't get more to bring home. We had a long ride home and not enough cold storage. The chicken and fries were very good, very moist white meat and super crunchy coating. The fries were crispy and had a real nice flavorful coating. The "Beaver Chips" are fresh cut potatoes, perfectly thin, crispy and delicious! The smoked turkey bbq sandwich was loaded with nice thick slices of smoked turkey and the roll was delicious...I added some of the free pickles and now I wish I brought home a pound of the smoked turkey ( they sell the smoked meat by the pound.) My sugar coated almonds, pecans and cashews are wonderful. There are a large amount of bathrooms and they were very clean. We noticed there was no seating to eat....,not a big deal for us...we had just walked around looking and shopping for about 20 minutes. We cleared a nice little place up front in the car and had a little BUC-EE's picnic in the air conditioning!

It has tons of gas pumps with no waiting and plenty of regular parking as well if you just want to head inside. The inside is of course very clean and they have the best bathrooms of any travel stop. IYKYK. This location feels tailored to the area. It has Virginia themed merchandise mixed in with the classic Buc-ee's gear and the whole place is bright, welcoming. I love all the dog stuff like dog toys and the doggy snack bar; I only wish they would become dog friendly already. The passive aggressive signs for dog owners do get annoying but I still love the place . The employees are great and everything moves along quickly. So even if you find yourself, lingering and getting a bunch of stuff you don't need, like me, at least you won't be waiting in line too long. If you're driving through the area and you see the Buc-ee's sign do yourself a favor and pull off. Stretch your legs, grab an iced drink, some beaver nuggets and lots of gifts for your poor dog who has to stay in the car.

Also, it didn't hurt to make a pitstop inside. Gas prices were on average with other nearby stations in the area. Paying at pump was where to be. Inside I made quick usage of the facilities and wanted to grab myself some drinks for the remainder of the trip. I would have used the self checkouts but I needed items from behind the counter. The line went smoothly and the employees were pleasant to deal with. Overall a decent stop at a busy location.
