The last time I came in, there were staff members' children screaming at the top of their lungs while customers were trying to enjoy their coffee and food. It wasn't the atmosphere I expected. My biggest frustration, though, is the inconsistency of the coffee. I'll order a Cookie Butter Latte one day and it's amazing, then order the exact same drink another day and it's incredibly bitter. When you're paying around $10 for a small drink, you expect it to be consistent. I really hate saying this because I used to recommend this place to everyone, but lately I'd rather make coffee at home, where I know it'll taste the same every time.

The beans were ground fresh for me. I love French Vanilla coffee, but it's not my wife's favorite. So it was nice to be able to get a cup and enjoy it. I also ordered biscuits and gravy and a glass of milk, which were very tasty. I brought my wife home a cinnamon roll which she enjoyed. She said it was good. The front of the house is pretty bustling and lively. At the back of the restaurant, there's a quieter room and outdoor dining on the patio. I will definitely be returning to this location. Special shout out to the staff, who were magnificent.

That wasn't the only bland thing. The coffee was very weak and tasteless. In fact, the regular flavor, which I normally drink, was so weak I hardly added cream and it had an off-white look. Typically, their coffee passes, but this was like tea, but even tea can be strong at times. It's disappointing, since we are supposed to be hosting the FIFA World Cup nearby, and I really don't believe we've had any foreign visitors here in L.S., but if any came here I'd be afraid they might judge L S. coffee as weak, when, trust me, you can get good coffee at other establishments. Let's start with the ambiance. The actual cafe is very small but charming. The inside is well designed though, and feels charming without being overwhelming. What stole the show for me though was the patio. As someone who studied abroad in France it felt so French to me in the best way. To me, it feels like taking a Parisian cafe and mixing it with a hip KC bar - it doesn't feel necessarily exactly like one or the other, but it compliments both and feels uniquely it's own in the best way possible. On the day I visited it was absolutely gorgeous outside and I had one of the best breakfast burritos of my life, mostly due to their chimichurri sauce. I have been to over 100 coffee shops in our area so far and I will say, that I absolutely loved this coffee shop, and I would rate it in the top three of my favorites! Today I tried a hot London fog with oat milk and it was perfect. I also had a gluten-free blueberry muffin, which was also good. My husband joined me a little while later and he had two of their chorizo burritos which were large and very tasty as well as the salsa that goes along with them. He had a black tea with raspberry syrup and he said that was very good as well. The service was excellent, and they were very nice and friendly to every person that came in and it was quite obvious that there were many regulars. Even though this was my first time I felt like I had been a regular. The ambience is one of the best things about it because it is peaceful, friendly, relaxing, and combined with the excellent service it makes you want to linger and come back immediately. It is located in the small town of Turner, and it has that small town, friendly vibe. My father was a long time resident of Turner so I'm familiar with the area. It's small but not too small with the outdoor and upstairs seating. I was quickly greeted by the very friendly staff after walking in. I asked "what's the best thing on the menu if I was never to be here again (I'm a driver and likely won't)" and she said the bacon Gouda and boy oh boy was it good! The bacon was very high quality and so was the bread. The cheese was super melted and made the almost garlic buttery mayo taste even better. You can go in for wine, coffee or chai, my favorite is that they offer all day breakfast. The space itself is very clean and stylish with their raw brick walls, and garage door optional entrance. They do offer this space for events. I've hosted a girl dinner event here and I've known them to host events like open mics, and game nights as well. I would definitely say this is a pillar of the community!
