Ashcliff Manor was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the…read morebreathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains--you truly see how they earned their name. The wildlife made our stay even more special. We saw so many deer, countless birds, a raccoon, and even a bear! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, which made it feel like home. One of my favorite parts was waking up in the master bedroom to the mountain view right from the bed--absolutely amazing. We watched lightning dance across the distant sky, enjoyed the beautiful Strawberry Moon, listened as the rain slowly moved across the mountains until it reached us, and even caught fireworks lighting up the distance. Ending the day in the hot tub while taking in the endless mountain views was the perfect way to relax. Every moment felt peaceful and unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!

We chose this home because of its proximity to the hiking spots we wanted to explore, and it didn't disappoint. The house itself was lovely, comfortable, and well-equipped. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen for making breakfast together and enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably--perfect for a group getaway. It's also ideally located--just 10 minutes from Blowing Rock with great restaurants, about 20 minutes to Boone, and only 30 minutes from Grandfather Mountain. It made getting around to all our planned activities quick and easy. Overall, this was the perfect home base for a fun and relaxing girls' weekend. Highly recommend!

There are water stains all over the ceilings. The walls are cracked due to foundation issues. Our room had cobwebs. The beds are so uncomfortable you can feel each spring. The worst part for me was the black mold all over the bathroom walls. I even found a live roach which I was accused of bring because they said "we don't have roaches". Interesting since the entire inn was full. Then i was told it was a grasshopper. I attached a photo, don't worry. So you can decide. Lastly, we can't eat in the room. So we went downstairs to eat in the dining room. Tessa said no you can't eat here. Go outside. So we ate outside like dogs. Don't stay here

We always prefer B&Bs and inns to corporate hotels so we booked a Sunday and Monday night here…read moreprior to the fourth of July. We booked the Little Room which is actually next to the main house. They told us up front that cell phone reception was spotty, and they were right, but they do offer wi-fi. Our room felt a little musty at first but we turned on the AC until nighttime when the air was quite cool and comfortable. We enjoyed our relaxing stay and sat on our porch during some summer storms. In the evening, we had some complimentary tea and brownies and rocked in the chairs outside the main house. One evening we even heard bagpipes playing (must have been practicing for the Highland Games). Breakfast was delicious both days. There are no TVs in the rooms, which was fine with us. Even though the inn is on a remote country road, we were still surprised to hear cars and trucks go by throughout the night.
