Stay away from any homes managed by this company. Home was run down to the point of safety issues (dead bugs, doors didn't lock, screen doors off their hinges, windows that won't shut due to dehumidifiers pumping into the house). They also disclose issues with the homes after you book and are past refund capabilities. Worse than that, they don't answer their phones or emails after hours (which is usually check-in time when the issues are discovered). We had a nightmare of a VRBO booking with them, and spent more than 4 hours on hold with VRBO (who also could never get in touch with them), 2 hours on hold with their call service (off-shores), and more than 20 emails to finally get a cancellation so we could stay at a home with doors that locked, windows that closed, and one that wasn't infested with critters. read more

I truly feel bad for property owners using this management company as they are incredibly negligent in their management, communication, and execution. We rented a home through their company for a weekend in blowing rock and had a disaster of an experience. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday to no heat or hot water. After several hours of trying to reach their "emergency line" due to a gas smell in the home, I resorted to calling 911. Blue ridge sends their renters to an offshore call center at 5pm on a weekday with no one local to talk to. After we have spent several thousand dollars a night, this is simply inexcusable and poor customer service. As it turns out, blue ridge management had neglected to fill the propane to the home and we had to pack up and leave with two small children in below freezing temps and icy roads. The fire department pointed out that there was no working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector or working heat, and that the condo was not safe to stay. After repeated calls to blue ridge the next morning, a representative assured me that I would be compensated for the hotel stay we had to purchase since we were displaced by their rental mismanagement. After several back and forth emails with blue ridge representative, "Amy Wright", I was informed that they had reneged on their promise to compensate. And that a refund of just the amount paid was "fair". read more

I will never use this rental company again. Easily the worse vacation rental my family has ever had. Would have been better off just staying at home. The house wasn't cleaned at all, the cable didn't work, the WiFi didn't work, the hot tub didn't work, couldn't make it to the fire pit because the grass was 4 foot tall, the food pantry had rotten food all over the shelves, when we showed up at the designated check in time the doors keypad didn't work, had to wait 3 hours for someone to come let us in. We called the rental company 15 times to let them know about the horrible condition of the house. Only two things got fixed were, they sent someone to cut the grass in the evening of day 2 and they sent someone to let us in the house 3 hours after we have arrived and had been sitting outside the house waiting. This company could not care one bit about your rental experience. Trust me, save your money and use someone else, anyone else. read more

I recently stayed as guest in one of their homes in August and could not be more disappointed in the cleanliness of the property and the responsiveness of management. They do not truly care about guest experience and would rather argue in review comments than fix their issues. Bait and Switch! We wanted to give friends who share their Maine vacation home with us a treat in the NC mountains. After searching weeks for the perfect house we booked it MONTHS ahead of time. We signed agreements, contracts, and acknowledgements. NINE DAYS before we were to check in someone from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals called and said: "That property is no longer available." What? As friends were flying in we felt we could not just cancel the trip and reschedule. BRMR sent a list of other properties that did not really meet our criteria but did not even offer any sort of discount or compensation for the trouble. I spent several more hours choosing a property that would not have even been on my original list of top-10 choices. Once it was done, they were extremely responsive whenever we had an issue. It really felt like a partnership. They took great pride in making our house look fantastic at all times. Amy said, "Unfortunately, we will need to relocate you to another property." ON 05/05/25 I received a Blue Ridge email receipt for $118.96 they charged to my card. The receipt does not itemize what I was charged $118.96 dollars for. The receipt states I owe $977.54, which is $179.84 more than $797.71, the balance on my 4/23/25 contract. I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals following a recent experience that was not only disappointing but also dangerous. I rented a house for two nights at a cost of $2400, and was advised to use a 4-wheel drive vehicle with chains. My husband's Chevrolet 2500HD is a large, capable truck equipped for such conditions. We have lived in Western North Carolina our entire lives (55 years) and are well-acquainted with driving in the snow. However, the situation we encountered upon arriving at the community was unacceptable. The entrance to the community was covered in snow, and it was clear that no efforts had been made to scrape or salt the roads. As we began to drive up the steep mountain, the slick conditions quickly became alarming. After a few turns climbing up we got stuck, and it was terrifying! We were sliding backward down the mountain with a steep drop-off on one side. Thankfully, we had a shovel in the truck, which allowed my husband to create a space to turn around. Descending the mountain was equally perilous. The road was a solid sheet of ice, and even with the truck in the lowest gear, we struggled to maintain control and sliding off the side of the mountain. This was a nightmare of a situation, compounded by the fact that we had two children in the back seat, and I continue to have flashbacks about it. We understand the driveway to the property not being maintained, we expected that, but we had no idea that the main road in the subdivision getting to the house would be in such bad icy conditions! When I contacted the rental company to explain that we couldn't reach the property due to the hazardous road conditions, their response was disappointing. They simply said they would pass my message along to customer care. We had nowhere to go and so we went back home! It was very disappointing. The next day, I did receive a call from one representative who seemed skeptical about my claims regarding the road conditions. She promised to investigate and follow up, but it has been several days and I have yet to hear back. Upon reviewing the lengthy rental agreement, I discovered that the company absolves itself of any responsibility for access issues due to snow. They are fully aware of the potential dangers posed by the steep, unmaintained roads, yet they continue to rent properties without ensuring safe access. This experience did not only ruin our trip but also put my family's safety at risk. I feel compelled to warn others about Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. While some may leave positive reviews, I urge potential customers to pay close attention to the negative feedback. This company is a scam, and they do not prioritize the safety or satisfaction of their clients. Update: I finally heard back from BRMR and got my cleaning fee refunded. So, for that, I'll give them 2 stars. However, they did inform me that that their rental policy states that an unclean rental "does not warrant a refund". I don't know why you're charging a cleaning fee in the first place then. All in all, I still won't be using this rental company again. DISGUSTING! If you have allergies or asthma, DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY! Please listen to all of the other one star reviews! I wish I had looked up the Yelp reviews before renting through this company. As soon as we walked in we could tell that the cabin had never been cleaned. There were leaves and mud tracks across the entry, the duvet had dirt across the side, dead bugs on the carpet, pet hair and leaves on the furniture, and very dusty! "Brianna" is who supposedly cleaned this cabin, so if this is clean, I'd hate to see her house. I've called to complain about the housekeeping and I've yet to hear back from anyone. I will never book a cabin through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again! A room at nearest cheap motel is likely to be much cleaner than any cabin this company offer. Ah, how I wish that I had come across these reviews on Yelp before I booked my stay with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals at what seemed to be an absolutely picturesque home, The Suddreth Cottage, in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. There were some things that happened that were beyond my control, mainly that my family was not able to join me because of Hurricane Helene, which was headed to Florida where my family lives. That's not a part of my review, but I do think that if someone else had been there with me at this scary cottage, it might have made it at least kind of funny. Moving on, there are spiders. There is mold - and I mean actual mold spores growing on the front door. There is an extreme musty smell. Don't stay here if you have asthma or allergies. The only TV I tried to turn on was in the downstairs bedroom and it was like I was stuck in 1998 with tracking lines on cable channels. The first night I stayed, there was a smoke detector beeping upstairs every minute or so. It finally gave up the ghost and the battery died and then a guy from BRMR came by and changed the battery the next day. Did I mention the spiders in the bathtubs? The upstairs rooms were made for horror movies but fortunately I didn't have anyone staying up there and I closed the doors in an effort to forget I ever saw them. All the furniture is old and I can't even imagine trying to sit on the living room sofa that probably spends its off days doubling as a Venus flytrap in Hollywood. For the prices this company charges I can't believe that the homeowner can't try to take better care of this property. Who is at fault? No clue. I have stayed at other properties in Blowing Rock and my top recommendation is the Blowing Rock Manor. Do not stay at The Suddreth Cottage unless you are with other people who enjoy killing spiders, scaring off ghosts with a laugh and love musty, dusty smells. It's only cute from Main Street! I left after a couple of nights (paid for a week) and lost a good deal of money. Who cares though because now I know and can tell all of you - buyer beware! I just hope that people aren't as naive as I was and believe the reviews on the Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals website. Lesson learned. read more

The water heater broke on arrival to the property. Sent several emails and called several times. After the first call the following morning I was told they would send a plumber. Waited and no one showed up. Called back and kept getting sent to voicemail. Mind you I'm on vacation wasting time waiting around and this is day 2. This management company didn't have the decency of following up. So I called a plumber. They showed up and fixed the problem. After paying out of pocket this management company reimburses me half of what I paid stating their local plumber would have done it for that amount. So why didn't they get sent out when it was promised?! Blue Ridge Management Company is a joke! I fixed their problem and got left with half the bill. I have had such a bad experience using BRMR to manage my home in Banner Elk. I was constantly told things would get done and they never did. My house was managed by them for 3 months and it was never listed because they kept delaying work they said they would do. When I escalated and got the owner involved it was just more excuses and no results. They never let me know that dates had changed, I had to ask and then would be told that the work didn't get done and they would make another promise that would be broken. Added screen shot from BRMR owner who apologized for the problems and allowed me to terminate without a fee. This proves that BRMR lied in their response to my review on Trustpilot, where they said my cabin was not "up to their standards" and that was why we parted ways. We brought tons of food and the fridge didn't cool below 55 degrees. We had to use bags of ice to keep our food cold. The double ovens worked a little, until they blew a fuse. We used the disgusting grill to cook our dinner and breakfast. The hot water heater was set so high that 2 children and one adult got burned. One bedroom had no windows, not cool. They get around that by calling it a "sleeping area". Sneaky. When I called to complain about the place, the woman read me a script saying that the homes are inspected monthly. She was an unsympathetic person who had read the script many times. DO NOT rent from these people. They have NO idea what customer service is. They just care about the $$. By the way, my brother-in-law and his family had a similar situation with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Very frustrating. Very sad. read more

Our family has been traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains for 25 years for our annual winter vacation right after Christmas. In 25 years, we have never been as disappointed nor received such a poor level of service as we did during our past trip. Issues will arise that are out of everyone's control but it is how they are handled that makes for good versus bad customer care. It's easy to get good reviews when no issues arise and you are staying at a cabin decorated and designed by a private owner. The good reviews on here are about the cabins while the bad are with the dealings with the management company, Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. I ask everyone to think twice in renting with them. We arrived on the 27th of December to find a cabin with a sink full of dirty pots and dishwasher full of dirty dishes. This was because the cabin had no running water which also resulted in backed up toilets. We drove up from S. FL for 15 hours and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals did not think to inform us prior to our stay of the situation. The maintenance department even asked me if we were previously contacted when I reported the issue because they were aware of the situation prior to our arrival. This shows such lack of concern and consideration for their guests. A simple phone call or email would have given us an opportunity to change our plans. This was only the beginning as they continued to provide misinformation and string our family of 9, including two senior citizens and a baby, for the next 3 days. They even told us the issue was resolved while we were out of the cabin. We purchased over $300 in groceries to find the issue was not resolved. They brought us water only once which was immediately used to flush all the toilets that were backed up and effectively working as porta potties. We had to purchase and heat water on the stove to be able to take showers and flush toilets for the next 3 days. After being strung along from the 27th to the 30th, we decided to head home with no solution in site. We spent hundreds of dollars in gas, food we couldn't cook, eating out due to not having a kitchen with clean pots and running water all due to their poor communication and lack of concern. Our family trip and New Year's celebration in the mountains was ruined by Blue Ridge Mountain rentals. We will never get our time and money back but most importantly, the good memories we could have shared with our family. Instead we have no vacation, a terrible memory and frustrating ending to 2022. Stayed in a home (Storybook Cottage) this weekend in the lodges at eagles nest in banner elk. The community was awesome, very cool neighborhood and exactly what we were looking for. The home we rented though was a travesty. We spent our first day cleaning, outdoor furniture looked as if nobody had been to the home in months, thick spider webs covered everything along with a nice coating of dirt. Outdoor heater and grill were out of propane along with the spare can. The floors were covered in dirt and hadn't been mopped or swept. The tv didn't work and would not connect to WiFi for kids to watch something. The outdoor fire pit and entire front yard was completely overgrown with weeds as if yard maintenance isn't part of the management companies job. There was a snow sled in the middle of the front yard full of moldy water and it's august.... When was the last time someone even came to this unit ? I could not have been more frustrated paying that much money to "get away" and feel on "vacation" pulling up to the mess of a home we got. Will never book through them again nor will I spread good praise of this company. Feel sorry for the home owners trusting these people with their property. read more

We rented from BRMR at Bear Tracks at Eagles Nest. The pictures on the website were from 2018, fast forward to 2023, the house was in rough shape for a luxury cabin rental. Dog hair was all over the floor and the house had a wet dog smell. No cleaning supplies were left for us to clean up. The vacuum didn't work properly. The towels smelled musty and old. The home was beautiful but just dirty. The location was far away from a local grocery store so I would suggest to pick up groceries on the way to the destination. We paid an extra $125 for fire wood, the company left it outside so it was soaking wet, it would not light. The blankets and rugs left in the home for us to use look like they haven't been washed in months. There were scuff marks all over the walls... they were in desperate need of a pain job. We paid over $500 a night I guess I was expecting a cleaner experience. The hot tub was filthy as well even though they stated it was cleaned. read more

We rented "A High Country Retreat" for a family reunion to celebrate the life of my grandfather who recently passed away. He loved the NC mountains around Boone and had spent a lot of time in the area. While the home was aesthetically beautiful, it was an incredibly stressful weekend due to a lot of lies and omissions from the rental company. First issue (relatively minor on its own), we were told less than 24 hours prior to our arrival that the hot tub was not working--ok, things happen. While we were offered an alternative option, the alternative was not offered until after some of our family had already arrived in town, the alternative was in a completely different city, and the alternative was not comparable to what we could have found on our own with a little more advanced notice. Second issue (a legitimate safety concern), upon arrival, the house is 85+ degrees inside and we find that the HVAC (heat and cool) is not working. Further, we found out only after calling the rental company, that this issue was known in advance, would not be fixed during our stay and that the rental company had never planned to disclose the issue to us. This was NOT pleasant or safe for my 84 year old grandmother who had just lost her husband of 50 years nor was it pleasant or safe for the 2 month old infant and 1 year old baby staying with us. This issue was exacerbated by the unseasonably hot and cool weather that occured during the course of our stay. Third issue (could have resulted in a serious incident), we had a BASKETBALL SIZED WASP NEST under the main portion of the deck. Upon walking out on the deck, the 1 year old was almost immediately stung and her foot left bleeding and quickly swelling. THANKFULLY, we learned (as this was her first sting), that she did not have a serious allergy or this could have been much worse. Fourth, Fifth and Sixth issues, we thought that the fourth and fifth issues would be the last, a simple issue of the microwave being broken and small carpenter ant infestation around the sink, but to our surprise, when my grandmother was crying on the last full day as the celebrations were over and most of the family heading off, the fire alarm goes off. She ran all around the house frantically trying to save photographs of my grandfather, but as it turned out not only was there no fire, but the fire chief confirmed that his was a recurring issue with the house and that they had been unsuccessfully trying to get the rental company and/or owner (or anyone at all) to get the alarm fixed as it was wasting town resources and frightening tenants and, due to the extreme noise, neighbors alike. While, we still managed to have a beautiful remembrance for my grandfather, the number of issues would have been comical had it not been so sad to have to spend so much time with maintenance and on the phone with the rental company trying to sort all of these issues. We had reserved a considerably priced house on the expectation that our basic needs would be met and that we could have a peaceful remembrance for a very special man, but were met with a series of failures to disclose known issues and properly maintain the property. I am currently trying to speak to the rental company. It takes forever to reach someone or get an answer, and a lot of effort. We planned a holiday family trip to Cranberry View Lodge and booked through Airbnb. I wish I knew I would be dealing with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals I would have chosen another location. We showed up, check in at 4pm and were greeted with piles of trash and dog s@#%. The 3 level home we rented had not been cleaned, sheets had not been changed, last guest clothes on floor in bathroom, dirty floors, dog hair and dog smell, last guests had smoked heavily in the hot tub- buts and ashes all around, last guests apparently smoked in just the master bathroom? Smelled awful. Had to vacuum and mop a three story house and clean bathrooms , found a Polaroid picture of the last guests with their dog on the floor... All we requested was the cleaning fee returned and they wouldn't give us the full cleaning fee , but gave us a credit. This Blue Ridge Mountain/ Airbnb rental obviously hadn't been cleaned- so much for Cranberry View Lodge being a premium host... definitely Not! This was the worst rental company I have ever dealt with. We booked our vacation over a month ago. We arrived to the cabin and had gotten stuck due to snow on the road. A tow company had to be called. The maintenance technician fortunately was coming down the mountain from our cabin and stated the road was not passable. Even though we had an AWD vehicle which was recommended by the company. We were stuck for approximately three hours after finally getting someone on the phone from the rental company. We were originally directed to a trailer behind wal mart, but then given another option for a cabin but we would have to check out a day prior to our actually departure. It was around 7 in the evening when the decision was made to go to the cabin. However, we spent the next day on the phone with the company asking for a refund and the tow bill to be paid. The company did not provide a solution. I do not recommend this rental company at all. Our booking was done through VRBO who were sub contracted by the company. read more

One month (yes, an entire month AFTER our trip) after staying at a Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals cabin we received a letter from Pat stating that the cleaners had found damage to a kitchen counter and that our credit card had been charged $75 for damages. There was no proof with this letter and although we tried repeatedly for weeks (yes, WEEKS!) to contact Pat we got no response. We were upset that our card had been charged WITHOUT our consent and that NO ONE would return our calls or e-mails. FINALLY we got a hold of Steve, the owner. He assured us he would look into the matter then promptly did not bother to return calls or e-mails. Eventually we did get a hold of a manager who basically told us that it was our word against these cleaners and that we were out of luck. One month after our stay, no proof of any kind and an unauthorized charge on our credit card. TAKE YOUR RENTAL BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! Ps- We DID NOT cause the alleged damage. It was only myself and husband that stayed in the cabin with our toddler son. We know we didn't cause the damage to the counters that the company claimed. The cookware (pots and pans) were disgustingly dirty and burned. The stove had builtin micro w exhaust. The micro and exhaust did not work. Instead of replacing, they had a 2nd micro (taking up very precious counter space). I gave them an opportunity to make it up to me. Their offer was a slap in the face. We booked a cabin over a month ago, only to arrive and find that the road leading to the cabin was impassable which was confirmed by a member of their maintenance crew. We came in all wheel drive vehicles , as directed by their aggressive winter email, but were still unable to make it up to the cabin. One of our vehicles had to be towed out of the ditch, where it sat for 3 (almost 4 hours) before the tow company arrived. While sitting there, we lost over $100 worth of groceries. We were redirected to a trailer behind Walmart or a cabin, but were told we had to check out a day earlier than our contracted check out day. After the initial incident, we were told that they would contact us first thing the next morning. However, we ended up having to reach out to them around 9am after we didn't hear from them. We left a message, sent an email, and were contacted at the end of the business day. We were told that there was nothing they could do for us and were unwilling to refund the money we spent on the cabin ($1200). Our entire time in the mountains was spent on dealing with this and no resolution has been reached. We also were relocated to a cabin 40 min away. We were told they would contact us, but instead left the office and we haven't heard back. Update: We were made to leave the cabin a day early. No communication, no response to attempted contacts. I am absolutely in disbelief at the lack of customer service. We spent our entire vacation dealing with this. I will likely not book with this company again. Apparently, this is not a one time thing and staff has told us this is pretty common for them. Save yourself the headache. Update: They are now offering us a partial refund contingent on us not posting a bad review. Totally unethical! read more

We rented a cabin for our honeymoon in September of 2009 and couldn't have been happier with the service and value. We called a few months earlier and spoke with an agent that walked us through many of the properties. They took all of our "must haves" into account and found us the perfect place, property by the name of Bella Vista. It was AMAZING, exactly as pictured and described, incredibly private and luxurious. They gave us great directions and tips about the local area. the home was incredibly clean and everything was in working condition. Tip: one thing I would advise is to ask them if you need 4 wheel drive for your chosen home. We never would have made it up the long bumpy rocky drive to this house in my Jetta. This would be especially important in the winter as many of the houses with great views are on steep mountain roads. Tip #2: We would have had to pay a much higher rate if we hadn't noticed that our first night was in a peak season. They will not pro-rate the stay, meaning that you will pay the rate for the day that your vacation starts. We stayed at another place for one night and saved $400 by checking in a day later... see the calendar to make sure you are in the cheapest season possible. read more

My wife, daughter, sisters nieces and brother-in-law rented a large cabin for a week from Blue Ridge Mountain rentals and were extremely happy with our choice, both with the cabin and with the service. The cabin we rented (Abundant Life, a few miles outside of Boone) was beautiful, fully equipped, spacious and immaculate. Though it was located almost within walking distance of a small city (Boone, NC) it had the feeling of wilderness. It was near the top of a mountain, with breathtaking views. When I say fully equipped, I really mean it. It had a large hot tub, pool table, Foosball table, several large flat screen TV's, High Speed internet connection and even an old arcade style video machine. In short, all the comforts of home and then some. The service too was very good. Though our direct contacts with company representatives were pretty limited (one face-to-face contact upon checkout and a couple of phone conversations) we were treated with friendly professionalism on every occasion. We were provided with voluminous written information both by Email and on paper, answering just about every question we had. And the price was more than reasonable. I calculated, that with the number of people we had, we would not have been able stay in a Motel 6 on the highway for the price we paid for this rental. I have rented vacation condos and cabins from Florida to Hawaii, and this was one of the best, if not THE best run, operations I've dealt with. I am trying to think of some negatives for this review, but it is difficult. We visited in the late spring, so we had no trouble with the steep and partially unpaved mountain roads leading up to the cabin; though I imagine if one were to come here for skiing in the winter it might be a different story. We discovered a few extremely minor maintenance problems after we got to the cabin: a picture fell off a wall, some racks in the fridge and in the dishwasher didn't slide real well, and there was a little bit of construction junk in the side yard; obviously left from some work that was being done. Otherwise the place was perfect. I would rent a cabin from Blue Ridge Mounain Rentals again in a heartbeat. In fact, I almost certainly will. I rented a cabin through Blue Ridge Rentals last week. This was a Christmas gift to my children and grand babies. When booking I made sure the house had a hot tub, because it wasn't in any of the photos on their website. Shortly after we arrived we found out, because we called, that the hot tub needed a new pump. The maintenance man said "we should have called you prior to you arriving to let you know". The pump arrived later on day two but then we were told the water needed to be treated. We missed out on 2 of the 3 days without the hot tub, the ice maker, toaster and blender didn't work. The trash can was completely full upon arrival which left us no place to put our trash. I had to call to get the trash picked up, letting them know our trash was in the house. They only got the trash from outside. Blinds fell down when trying to close. When reported I was told ALL of this would be fixed or replaced after our stay!! To help compensate for all of our trouble I was then offered an additional night stay which we gladly took. Later in the day I received a call saying that someone booked the house before they were able to enter my additional day. After going round and round with the reservation specialist she finally said she couldn't move these guest because it wasn't fair to the owner not to get the income. I asked to speak to the manager twice, he never called. Once I returned home I was told the manager was going to refund me $225 of the $1360 I spent for three nights. I do not think this is fair compensation, especially when they were willing to throw in a free night for the hot tub issues. I would advise not to rent from this company. It appears once you've check in you are on your own, what you get is what you get. read more

The cottage we rented was great. It could have been a little cheaper as in the rent, But the family enjoyed it and the pool table and hot tub were a big hit. Since it is completely all wood inside and it's surrounded by trees the lighting was to dim. It did give us a warm cozy feeling. Would love to have a place similar for week long getaways. read more

Terrible experience with this rental agency. We made reservations for two of us to stay at one of their listings. Our stay was averaging out to $750/night. Upon receiving the rental agreement to be signed, I noticed that the verbiage within the agreement was drafted in such a way as to primarily cover the rental agency & property owners. We travel often, and this was the most heavily biased agreement I've seen thus far. However, I fully intended to grin & bear it, until I came to the check-in & check-out times. Check-in for houses, which we were renting, was 4:00 & 5:00....while check-out was 10:00A. So I email the BRMR and requested a later checkout of 11:00A or 12:00P. I was advised that they could not accept that request until after our arrival. Really? Based on their rental agreement, and that feedback, I knew what was likely coming next. I would be fully expecting something like....."while we make every attempt to accommodate late check-out request, we will be unable to fulfill your request at this time. We need time to prepare the property for our next guest(s)." Based on their pandemic pricing & unwillingness to work with us, based on this and being denied on one other request, I decided against our stay. I emailed the agent back to cancel our reservation. The reply I received regarding our cancellation due to check-in & check-out times was that "we recommend booking the night before or possibly the night after to lengthen your booking". MAYBE, just maybe, if I didn't have to wait until 5:00 to check-in, and then checkout by 10:00, I wouldn't have to stay another day. Just a thought. read more

View was wonderful. House was ample size. Long overdue vacation with family - very disappointed. House was not worth the price! All-in-all if you put lipstick on a pig - it's still a pig. Putting nicely folded towels and welcoming soap/shampoo does not mean that the house is clean or ready for rental. Was filthy, not as advertised, couldn't use master whirlpool tub due to filth, shower curtain mildewed, stove beyond filthy - years of grease collected everywhere in stove, whole house smelled very musty. Bedroom closet door had fallen and was on floor when got there (how could someone not see that). Furniture is outdated/torn/dirty (but that is understandable). Outdoor hot tub was too risky to use - not sure if sanitary. Distance to tubing is too far to walk (not what I was told on phone). Biking (house came with many bikes) was just too risky with younger children and too far. Had explained young kids would be there.. Gaming system was not in house (was told it was). Very frustrating to ask specifics and get something else via phone. Ask LOTS and LOTS of specific questions! Older house, which is fine - just renter beware. Was told they would follow up with our concerns... or, maybe not. read more

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Boone. We stayed at the "1 of a Kind" cabin and it was gorgeous and amazing. It was peaceful and you can't beat the view. Stars were beautiful!! The privacy of the upstairs bedroom was perfect so if you have kids, you can send them downstairs to play pool and have them stay in the other bedroom. We stayed in the cabin the whole weekend because of the amenities. read more
