    HD Sidecar

I watched the Melissa's YouTube @MidLifeStyle Twins where she picked up her new HD trike at Low Country. I was traveling to Charleston so I had to check out. Melissa had such great things to say and she was right! I was looking to get a shirt and other trinkets and Shay met me and was very nice and helpful. The joy of her job was apparent! Thank you Shay! I saw this really cool HD sidecar (not for sale) but was really fun to look at. Overall, a great experience!!

I've been coming to Low Country Harley for over 6 years now for service and random purchases. The guys in the service department are outstanding. This dealership also has the BEST lift I've seen at any dealership for loading motorcycles into a truck. I will continue to keep coming back here.

This is being written with a heavy heart as I have never once had a bad experience at a Harley Dealership. I came into the dealership today to sell my 2017 Road Glide Special. Prior to leaving my house, 1.5 hours away from the dealership I called to make sure that it was not busy, and that the were willing and able to purchase my bike. I was asked if I might think about a trade from the Floor Manager Josh. I explained that my main focus was to sell my bike but if there was a bike there that was absolutely so attention grabbing and the numbers worked out just right I'd be willing to trade my bike in but the main purpose of the visit was to sell my bike. I gave him the exact details of what my bike was and the condition. He spoke with one of his superiors and agreed that the dealership was prepared to purchase my bike regardless of the trade. Just prior to loading up my bike on my trailer i called and spoke to Josh again to confirm what was discussed before I took the trip and he agreed that we were good to go. I arrived everything was business professional as normal and expected. Me by an awesome sales rep Drew, and Josh. Josh was pressed about the trade more than me selling my bike but that's normal I myself have been a car sales manager so I expected it and it did not bother me nor was Josh too pushy about the trade. He just kept back at it. So after the bike was lnspected by thier tech, who also was an awesome tech, I was given a trade allowance a bit lower than what I and already expected. Meaning I knew the trade allowance was not going to be anywhere near retail as the dealership does need to make a profit, and I was ok with that. The trade allowance was sabout 2k off from what I was expecting so I then expected to outright sell my bike. I was told by Josh that the GM didn't want to purchase my bike, "there's not a market for the 2017 RG with your mileage". This was the exact opposite of what was told to me by him prior to leaving my house. So now after he said that I went over all that was said, a d that for the past 30 days I've been watching Cycle trader, and the Harley websites to monitor thier used inventory and see what been selling. We discussed that the 17' RG was in fact selling at an appropriate rate and for a descent price retail. Hence why I would not be upset about thier offer. Which was Zero. This was hands down one of the most disrespectful sales encounters I've ever experienced. We're not in the 80s or 90s where The "Bait & Switch" works nor am I desperate for a buck. My time and fuel were wasted, I was disrespected and felt like I was treated as if I was ignorant after informing Josh that I was a car sales manager myself and understood there's more benefit for the dealership to trade my bike in. The only part of this transaction done right was Kaitlyn the sales manager was extremely professional in her absolute attempt to make the experience better. Her conflict resolution methods were spot.on. She is absolutely fit for her role as she addressed the issue, explained why the dealership has thier protocols and what they were. The problem still revolved around the fact that they would not be able to purchase my bike. The GM or GSM did not make an attempt to make contact even after all was said and done. This is definitely not the HD Standard nor would it be considered appropriate at any othher location. I have rode to a lot of HD dealerships on Long rides as far as Missouri Rhode Island Florida etc. Every visit has been none less than amazing until today. I wish this team the best in their future endeavors and maybe some retraining should fix this issue.

Low Country Harley-Davidson is a great place to get everything Harley related that you need. They have a great selection of Harley clothing and gifts that are wonderful gifts for any bike person in your life that you need to shop for. They have so many items that it is hard to choose from sometimes. I really like the vibe of this location and have been there for several events and specials and have always enjoyed myself each time. They staff here is great and willing to help you with anything you need or answer any questions you may have. I also like being able to look at the bikes and dream of one day owning one so it is cool to check out everything in advance so I will be ready one day when I am ready to purchase.

After a few days the tracking information shows that it is stalled and not moving between destinations. When I contacted FedEX to find out what's going on, they freely admitted that the shipment is lost and at some point between transfers was not scanned in, even though the trucks that were moving it reached their destinations. They informed me that they could do nothing unless Cyclegear submitted a claim or a ticket on behalf of the delivery.  I contacted Cyclegear to get them to resolve this issue and of course, they pulled the same old Corporate nonsense. "we can't do anything about this. I don't know what FedEx is talking about. We can't submit any tickets. I don't have access to those systems." yadda yadda yadda. just stonewalling me while holding over 700 of my hard earned dollars.  I then explained to them that the North Charleston Store here appears to actually have the helmet in question in stock, and that I would just go and pick my helmet up from that store's inventory. just refund me for the Helmet i ordered and I will repurchase there since it's available. i PAID for this helmet in full. you HAVE what I paid for. just let me pick it up since your shipping failed.but no. of course not. Cyclegear sees fit to take my money and give me NOTHING AT ALL in return. No recourse. Cyclegear is taking no action to resolve this, just leaving the lost helmet eternally in limbo with FedEx and offering me no compensation. Something that would be so simple to solve becomes impossible because some stooge in an office hiding behind a phone is too lazy to fix it.  This is a lifelong boycott. I am an avid motorcyclist who lives covered in motorcycle gear, and I will never spend money with Cyclegear, Revzilla, J&P cycles or any of their puppet shell companies ever again. And if that helmet ever does arrive (which I seriously doubt it eve will, FedEx was clear on this) I'm immediately returning it. You will never get my money again, because you lack the basic skills to deal with simple situations in a fair and courteous way, and that is unforgivable for a retail business.

Had them replace a flat rear tire and gave me a list of problems with my bike their "18 point inspections" SCAM. Since I ride 99% on my bike for work and errands, I felt the bike had to be reliable and made it clear to repair only critical problems that were necessary to function and went through the list several times. They held my bike ransom over a month and exceeded the estimate over $700. I paid it and left with the bike, 20 miles later I lost the function of my speedometer only to find out, the cable disconnected from the sensor at the wheel. I returned to American Biker, and showed Russ at the service desk that the speedometer cable had been damaged. He tells the part guy to order a sensor and charged me $116 even though Russ did not determine the sensor was defective and the cable was not ordered. Multiple trips to American Biker to order the cable and have it installed. They charged me an additional $230. Drove another 39 miles and speedometer failed again. Returned to American Biker where their Service dude Kirk claimed that the Speedometer gauge was worn. I told him bull sh*!. I have been riding this bike for 6 years and never had a problem until they serviced it. They were responsible for the failure and I wanted my money back. Kirk wanted to sell me a GPS speedometer. I rode the bike home, ordered a speedometer cable for $19 and drove the bike over 1000 miles without a problem. If American Biker had their way I would have spent over $600 for damage they created. They would not admit they caused the problem and Kirk told me they would not work on my bike again. Feelings mutual. All I wanted was to replace a flat rear tire.
