Looking for seafood restaurant in Norfolk/Hampton area...you have to come here. 4.5 rating does not…read moredo this food justice. For a really fast restaurant with amazing quality we give it an EASY 5.0!!!! Will be back. Ordered the ahi tuna as an appetizer. Fried oysters were perfect. The largest and best fried flounder, we've had in forever. Even ordered another Ahi tuna after our meal. Drinks were superb! Delish!! Lisa was THE BEST!!!!

I Think I Found My New Seafood Spot!…read more Fuller's Raw Bar is an absolute hidden gem in Hampton. This was one of those meals where I kept thinking, "Okay, surely everything can't be this good." But apparently it can. I started with the seasonal watermelon margarita, and my only complaint is that I didn't order two. It was refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the meal. Next came the oyster flight. We went ahead and ordered a dozen, and they were another hit. Fresh, delicious, and definitely something I'd order again. My one tiny request: give me some Tabasco with my oysters instead of regular hot sauce and we are officially in business! For my entrée, I ordered the steamed seafood platter, and when I tell you I ate the ENTIRE platter...I mean there was nothing left to discuss. It came loaded with oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, and crab legs, along with cocktail sauce and hot drawn butter. Everything was cooked beautifully, and that drawn butter made it straight-up finger-licking good. And then there were the catfish and grits. Listen. I don't know whose Big Momma is back there making those grits, but please tell her I said thank you. Creamy, flavorful, comforting--those are the kind of grits that make you stop talking for a minute because you need to concentrate on what just happened. I would order them every single time. The portions were generous, the prices felt very fair for the amount and quality of seafood we received, and overall the meal exceeded my expectations. Fuller's Raw Bar officially earned a spot on my Hampton rotation. Great seafood, generous portions, fair prices, and Big Momma-level grits? Say less. I think I just found my new go-to seafood spot.

My only thing was the top part of the deck should all be high tops, so you can actually see over the railing. It was difficult to see the beautiful water and tunnel construction on the upper deck with the low tables. I got the salad, and it was nice portion. I look forward to returning and sitting right on the edge near the water.

This past weekend, I visited, and it happened to be Restaurant Week. My go-to meal is their crab cake sandwich and fries, but I ventured out and tried their special: New England Clam Chowder and Seafood Mac and Cheese. The chowder was okay. The clams were a little chewy and it lacked flavor; needed a few more dashes of salt at the least. The seafood Mac and Cheese had potential. The crab meat on top looked enticing. The noodles were cooked to perfection. But the flavor was also lacking. It was not cheesy enough to call a Mac and cheese and again needed more salt and/or other seasonings. There also wasn't much seafood to boast about. Maybe a scallop or 2, a very small quantity of shrimp....the crab meat and roll were the highlight. 3 STARS (for this visit). The service was GREAT! Attentive, fast, and friendly. But I was disappointed with this dish. I'll be back. I'll get my crab cake!
