I quickly checked both Google Reviews and Yelp and Enav Smog was literally down the street. Reviews look great so I drove right down. The place is in a the back area/lot of the area. I came in at 1030am with no one ahead of me. The worker, which I'm assuming is the owner, briefly checked me in. 10 minutes for the smog checked for about $60 for a standard car. And yes, I was in and out in 10 minutes! Always love the fast service. He also said that he does smog repair if at some point a car doesn't pass a smog check. I'm a local as well so I'm all about supporting the locals around me and Enav Smog will be my yearly spot for a smog check!

Cheaper than most, considering I wasn't trying to drive 17min for 38$ I paid 58$ for the convenience since it was in my way home and I had other errands to run. Update: the other errands to run were an oil change but connected to this place next door they do oil changes. Synthetic blend was their cheapest they don't do regular, but it was the same price as Lenny dykstras and saved me the trip. Although it didn't come with a free car wash like Lenny's, still very convenient.

Y'all... I accidentally found a diamond in the rough…read more I called around 4:30, fully expecting them to tell me they were closing. Instead, this man says, "Come on, I'll wait for you." Not only that, he knew there was construction around the shop and made sure I knew exactly how to find it. That alone told me he actually cares about people, not just getting them in and out. The smog check was DMV certified, fast, and efficient--but not one of those places where they're rushing you out the door like they're late for dinner. He took his time, did the job right, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable. He has one of those personalities that just feels like you've known him forever. Now listen... if you're on Holt, SLOW DOWN because you'll drive right past it. It's between Campus and Grove, and it's easy to miss if you're flying down the street like you're in the Indy 500. The shop isn't fancy, and it could use a little cleaning and organizing, but don't let appearances fool you. I'd rather have an honest mechanic than a pretty waiting room any day. I haven't used him for repairs yet, but he also does oil changes, brakes, and other mechanical work. Based on how he treated me over a simple smog check, I have a feeling I may have just found the mechanic everyone hopes to have in their back pocket. Good, honest people are hard to come by these days. This is the kind of small business I'd rather support over the big chains. I'll definitely be back. However, there was a small difference, not sure if it's after tax or not. Online there's a coupon for $35, but in person they charged $40 for the coupon. I don't know if there's a fee that was missed or if they just never updated the price for the online coupon, but it's only a $5 difference, so nothing I'd make too big a deal over. The whole process took about 30-45 minutes. Be aware, there's no place to sit or shade while you wait, so plan accordingly. Since there was another customer in front of me, I had to wait for them to finish first and was hiding behind a truck's shade. Once it got to my turn, it was pretty quick. They also do take card.
