She asks meaningful questions, manages your expectations, and then gives you what you want. When I told her I wanted my hair as blonde as possible without turning it into straw, she gave it to me. The color was beautiful and still is, plus it's growing out really well. And I don't even dread going to my next appointment (I traditionally dread any upcoming appointment), I'm actually looking forward to it. The vibe at Renata is casual and comfortable and fun. You can tell the stylists enjoy one another and what they do. Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why…read more I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend.

Over the summer, my hair was professionally, yet grossly, over processed. Now, I have collected more hair in a bag than I have left on my head. My hair and my heart have suffered. Lina took her time, said extensions weren't for me right now due to my level of damage, and opted for a cut instead. Rawan has never made me feel like my locks are too much work, and I always leave feeling 100% amazing! I decided to change part of my hair color on a whim 2ish months ago. Everyone was obsessed with my coloring because it was so vibrant, and it lasted a long time. Even two months after my coloring was done it still looked great! There is a normal fade that will happen of course but people still thought I'd just gotten it done! I went back for a change and a touch up this week, and the results are magnificent! Rawan understands my need for a wash & go look that can also be styled (when time allows). My hair always looks fantastic even when I don't try :) She is kind, patient, skilled, and honest.
