Geoff is very patient and really helped us get the hang of things We caught some red fish and trout and some small shark (which were a ton of fun to catch). Capt. Geoff was happy to help out with our casting and offered tips when we were fighting the bigger fish. His boat and the gear he provides are excellent. Very high quality stuff. Highly recommend booking a charter especially if you would like to see a new side to the lowcountry. His rates are very competitive. It had been more than five years, but last week I took the tour with my three kids and it was just as amazing as ever! We were on a week long vacation and literally added a night in Charleston just for the Ecotour. Both our boat captain and the gentleman driving were incredibly knowledgeable and very approachable. Just good people. They taught us about the ecosystem and various animals that inhabit it. We pulled crab traps and got to handle wildlife as we learned about it. You get time to walk the Boneyard on Capers Island and it is an experience like no other. It is the most pristine beach I have ever seen. Before we boarded our boat to go back to the marina, our captain took time to show my middle kid how to throw a casting net. Very cool people. Perfect mix of education and fun! If you don't do anything else on Isle of Palms - do this!!

He's been practicing photography for over 20 years and takes stunning pictures. We rode on a 23 ft Sportsman center console boat. It was very clean and the ride to the inlet was comfortable. Captain Rick was extremely helpful with all of my questions about Folly Beach and shared with me his passion for wildlife and the Morris Island Lighthouse. We took the 2 hr tour and saw ships, forts, the Battery of Charleston, dredges, the old Navy base, dry docks, and a dolphin, etc. Captain Chris tailored the tour to our interests specifically and our recollections of the area from decades ago. I highly recommend. First there were just the 4 of us so no crowds for Covid worries. Secondly , it was tailored to our interests... we covered a lot of ground in 2 hrs! Third, the cost was less than if we had taken a bigger ship with a herd of people and waited around as they fished, sight saw etc. this small ship was perfect and fast enough we saw everything we wanted and we're back before we burned up from the sun! Will was very punctual at the meeting time and once we stepped on the boat we went immediately into action. Within 15 minutes we were catching fish! Will was extremely knowledgeable about the area and knew a lot of the history that other tour captains don't tell you. We went to several spots that all had fish almost exactly where Will said they would be. By the end of the trip we had caught 10 redfish and a few other species as well. We hope to make Tight Line Outfitters part of our annual tradition in Folly Beach. 10/10 would recommend.

We initially scheduled our 2 hour inshore charter for Thursday, but our daughter got stuck in the…read moreairport, so I contacted Captain Shane to see if we could reschedule and he responded immediately and allowed us to book it on Friday. Captain Shane was very communicative throughout the process and was at the boat launch waiting for us even though we arrived 10 minutes early. He drove us into a creek and within less than 5 minutes, our daughter had a 4lb red drum in the boat. 2 minutes later, another 4lb red drum. Within the first thirty minutes we caught red drum, black drum, speckled trout and sheepshead. For a 2 hour charter, I would have been very pleased with that. When the fishing in the creek slowed down, Capt. Shane took us to another spot near where the container ships were unloading. For the next next 45 minutes, it was "fish on"! Multiple times, our daughter and I had fish on at the same time. Here, we caught a ton of red drum, some sheepshead and black drum. The highlight of the day was when our daughter hooked into a 10lb black drum. She struggled to get the fish in, so Capt. Shane jumped in and landed the fish for her. WOW! I know it was only a 2 hour charter, but we were catching so many fish, so fast at the end, Capt. Shane let us run over on time a bit. We finally ran out of bait and headed back in. I would like to thank Capt. Shane for his service in our US Air Force and for giving our daughter a fishing experience she will not soon forget. Capt. Shane was pleasant, knowledgeable and obviously knows where to catch fish. As a family, we could not have been more satisfied.
