This Lowe's is one of my favorite places to hang out. I know, I know...it's a grocery store. Hear me out. Their beer den is one of the best I've ever seen for consistently having solid craft beer options. The beer den staff is great. I love their iced coffee from the box car cafe. Overall they have a big variety of beers, wines, coffees, and teas. You can grab food from all over the store and eat in the beer den. Now it's like a food hall. Salad bar, fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, bbq, flatbreads, deli sides, sandwiches, desserts, and on and on. What a fantastic supermarket. Visiting here, well, it made me wish that I lived in North Carolina. I was up here for work I came into this place to grab a water to bring back to my hotel and was honestly floored. Again, what a great supermarket. The staff is exceedingly professional and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome in this store. The market is separated into different areas. They have a great selection of me and a nice selection of sausage in that same department. In addition to the usual food sundries, they had rocking chairs and plants for sale outside. Again, what a great supermarket. I enthusiastically give this place five stars. I was shook arriving here at Lowes compared to the Lowes by my house on Hwy150. There is simply no comparison. This Lowes was very clean and many fresh made food to go options. The salad bar was spotless and the food looked fresh. The employees were very friendly and was through checkout in no time. To top it all off they offer a Yelp special of 4 free cake squares when you check in!!! Oh!! Their Bear Den looks amazing with lots of seating options and elbow room compared to the Hwy 150 location. Will most likely drive over here to shop moving forward. read more

My daughter came home on school break from college and worked in this store for two weeks and they did not pay her the store managers blatantly did not put her time for two weeks in a row after being notified the first week she stood on her feet for 7 hrs a day for 12 days and did not get paid... right here during the holidays! the whole management staff need to go this is no way to treat an employee having people clock in and work and not pay them is unacceptable! read more

Every time I make a trip to Lowes I am reminded why this is my absolute favorite grocery store. All the employees from the produce section, the deli and bakery, the manager you might see walking around, and the cashiers are all so friendly. Their demeanor never seems forced or unauthentic. I purchased lunch from the deli today and the employees couldn't see me over the sign because I'm short. A kind gentleman who was also a customer, let them know I was over there. The employee quickly came to help me and asked how my Christmas was. Another employee came out of the back to say hello and asked how I was doing. Yes, this just sounds like standard fare for customer service but I never get this kind of service anywhere else. I appreciate the kindness and personalization that Lowes has to offer. It truly is a different kind of shopping experience here, as compared to other chain or big box grocery stores. The store is always so well organized and clean. I never see much, if anything at all, out of place. This is one of two Lowes that I frequent and this location has to be my favorite. This is the first time I've been back to Lowes since they finished the remodel. The store looks great and they have added some neat features. I really like the sausage station with all of the variety of sausages. They even had a beer den where you can sample beers and get growlers to take home. The customer service was also very good at all of the counters that I went to. All of the cashiers even had baggers which made check out very fast. They were still setting up while I was there which seems late for a Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. read more

I LOVE LOWE'S but I just don't like the set up of this store in Clemmons as much as others I've been in around the Winston area. All the "unique departments" i.e. the Beer Den, Cakery, Sausage Works, etc. are all along the perimeters of the store. I like in the other Lowe's how they are more towards the center. The Beer Den in particular is pushed into the far left front corner of the store away from everything else. With that said, I do like this Lowe's large beer selection and the store was nice and clean. I feel like Lowe's prices are a bit on the higher side. For instance, a can of vegetables is .99 where at other places, you can get them for like .59-.79. I am sure I'll be back at some point if traveling to Clemmons. read more

I love the update done at this store! I especially love some of the services they offer. My favorite two is the deli counter, and the sausage works. The pizza they have in the deli case is pretty good. However the panini are my favorite. The Reuben is outstanding. They will cook it for you. The sausage works is my absolute favorite. They have multiple types, and you can sample any of them, buy them pre-cooked, have them grill while you shop, or have them cooked put in a bun with your choice of peppers onions and your choice of mustard. Lowes food will run great deals at times, but their prices are somewhat higher then others in the area. Quality of products such as meat, produce, and bakery is much higher. read more

They have a station for chopping fruits, veggies and herbs, a sub making station, fresh bread, dry aged steaks, BBQ, sausages, and probably 5 more I have forgotten. OH! and a bar! This store spends a lot of time and money on the "culture" and outward appearance of the store. As a former employee, I know for a fact that the deli and food service area is lacking in even the simplest of equipment needed to be food safe. The sanitation is extremely poor, and only pass inspection because management will work overnight for a few days to band-aid key areas. After inspection, it's right back to covering up the mold and old grease with pretty decorations, and using equipment that never gets the right temperature to prevent bacteria growth in food. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pot of what I will wager is the BEST chicken soup I've eaten out in a very long time on the salad bar! Shredded chicken, great vegetables and a savory broth. I enjoyed it in the car on the remainder of my drive home and was an awesomely healthy choice on the road! It had a sign that it was 4.99, but the container had a price of 3.99, so extra yay! The soups (there was also a baked potato soup) were the only hot items on the food bar, the others were the typically salad items. The deli appeared to have a very nice selection of items, prices seemed reasonable and they had a number of 'grab and go' items in addition to doing custom pack orders. The store is large and well stocked, they had an incredible selection of tea which I really appreciate. Not a beer drinker, but the selection they had seemed much more expansive than most, or they are giving more real estate to beer than I am accustomed to seeing in my local grocery stores. Many times I feel a little boxed in grocery stores, like they feel the need to use every square inch of space and leave juuuuust enough for two carts to pass in the aisles...but not this one. LOTS of open space to the point that it almost seemed wasteful, especially near the front of the store, but I also imagine that when the store is packed, that extra space is quite nice! One negative...the bathroom for women was in deplorable condition. It looked like there had been a mudding event in there and I would have thought that they would do more frequent checks to keep that more presentable. This grocery chain has a sales and marketing team that is absolutely genius! The pick and prep station is great for lazy cooks like myself who just don't want to spend the time cutting, chopping or peeling their fruits and veggies. Plus it's a huge time saver. The deli has always been very helpful and they will offer you a sample of the meat or cheese they slice for you to ensure it meets your thinness/thickness level. The meat/seafood department will always walk around the counter instead of reaching over it to personally deliver what you've selected from the case. Fried chicken station is delicious. New fresh baked bread station has some amazing smells filling the area. Sandwich counter makes some pretty fantastic sandwiches. New beer den and coffee station are the most genius ideas I've ever seen! The bar area is always absolutely packed every single time I go in and sometimes grocery shopping can be overwhelming or stressful so being able to shop with a beer or glass of wine in the cup holders on the shopping carts is a game changer! But I must say without a doubt that the main reason for me deciding to write a review for this particular store is due mostly because of their bakery. Twice now I have ordered custom square cakes for friend's birthday parties and both times they have looked and tasted better than any cake I've ever ordered from anywhere...... EVER!!! Lowe's Foods, the bakers here are absolute ROCKSTARS! I thank you all for innovating and crushing the competition in the grocery industry! This lowes is absolutely spectacular. I live in Winston and am a loyal shopper to the Robinhood and Reynolda locations. However this location in Clemmons is the most outstanding I've visited. I've heard it's the new test store and that's why it has all the bells and whistles but it's definitely a cut above the rest. It has the Sammy's sandwich shop, the freshly baked Breadcrumbs shop, and the beer and wine area is huge with a very inviting lounge area. I ordered a railblender and it was quite honestly the best Box Car coffee drink I've ever had, she really nailed it! I also noticed the guy at the Sausage works who used to work at Robinhood is now at Clemmons, he is SO nice and friendly. He's very knowledgable! So tonight we decided to drive the nearly 15 minutes to check out their half price beer night. The crowd was as large as I was told it would be and the selection was pretty good! My one and only complaint is about the girl behind the bar at the beer den, she wasn't very nice and when we asked how she was doing she ignored us and just appeared a bit unfriendly. It could have been that she was busy and preoccupied but I will say this; Anne at the Reynolda location and Mark at Robinhood have amazing customer service skills so my bar is set pretty high. Overall we had a good time checking it out and we will be back! The store is beautiful and it makes grocery shopping a very pleasurable experience. read more

I walked in tonight to grab something sweet for dessert because, well, I wanted cake! As I entered, my plan quickly changed LOL I see a sign it was beer and wine tastings and 1/2 price pints and glasses to "sip as you shop." The Beer Den is phenomenal with the friendly staff, Dennis, was so helpful and had endless samples to try! I tried, and LIKED, cucumber jalapeño saison which didn't have heat, but the sweetness of cucumber and flavor of the pepper. The Blueberry by Foothills was nice as well and not too sweet. I am excited next week they'll have Bull City Ciderworks in tap!! I bought a limited edition The Walking Dead for my husband because he loves both the show and Terrapin Brewery which was an IPA with hint of Blood Orange citrus. I also tasted and bought the New Belgium Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Brownie beer which had a hint of coffee like a stout but less pungent and deep color! Plus it's Ben and Jerry's! Then, as walking by the bakery I was asked to join a cake walk to try to win a cake... Why not after all? It's cake and fun! They played music and several walked around a huge tiered cake for Make A Wish and when the music stopped, whoever was on the numbered spot they called won! FUN! I also won the cake which was delicious! They had slots to put change to collect for the charity too! This was so fun I spent an hour and came out with beer and cake- win win for me! read more

I love this grocery store and all its options and recently I decided to try there smoked ribs from the new Smokehouse counter. These are by far the worst ribs I have very had. The meat was so tough my wife and I ended up throwing away half a rack because we knew no one eat the rest. These were NOT cheap either so what a waste of money. I should know better but if you want really good ribs then go to a restaurant that is known for ribs, not the local grocery store. As a side note I bought a pack of sausages from their Sausage Works counter and grilled them up. Half the sausages shrunk up to the size of little hot dogs and half stayed the same as a regular size Jacksonville brat. Clearly something very inconsistent and wrong here. read more

I live near another Lowe's food and yet prefer to drive the extra 10 minutes it takes to drive to this particular one. I buy a lot of fresh veggies and their produce section is by far my favorite - I like that you can hand pick your own cherry tomatoes and the cauliflower is not prepackaged- I have never went there looking for something they didn't have - seems to be well stocked at all times!!! I have been shopping at Lowe's Foods for years. Their prices are a little more expensive than other grocery stores but their sales are really worth visiting their stores. They have recently remodeled the location in Clemmons. There are several new updates including "Sausage Works" where they make their own unique flavors of pork, beef, & turkey sausages. The "Star Spangler" Is my favorite by far! A patriotic bacon cheeseburger blend of hardwood and hickory smoked bacon, aged cheese, black pepper and savory house-made pork sausage. Want to know what tastes better than Sausage? Brownies. Lowe's Foods Homemade Brownies are by far the best brownies I may have ever had in my life. They come in a 4 pack for $3.99 which is actually very reasonable as I have priced the brownies at every other store with a bakery within a 30 mile radius of my house. (If you're in the bakery, don't forget to try their muffins!!) Lowe's has a new way of displaying their specials that I LOVE. It's called "Barn Burner Savings". You can walk down any aisle and see the big red tickets on the shelves clearly displaying what their biggest sales are at that time. It has really cut my shopping time down. The last and best thing I love about Lowe's which makes their slightly more expensive prices worthwhile would be the Gas rewards. They have tickets on some of their items that help you rack up gas reward points. Usually, for my family of four, after a week or two of regular shopping I have saved anywhere from 20 to 40 cents off at the Local Hess Gas Station with my Lowes Card! read more

Very disappointed in the remodel. The store now has less fresh meat and much more prepackaged meat. This and the produce we're why I was willing to shop at Lowes and pay higher prices. The produce area seems smaller and more expensive. The best thing in the remodel was to get the wine and beer out of the middle of the store. Now you can get to the groceries without that obstacle to go around. Unfortunely a lot was spent on "looks" and nothing seems to have been spent on quality. read more
