I don't do a lot of cooking, but TJs offers so many frozen, delicious cold and hot meals that require only a sauce pan.

I've never been a fan of wedding cakes, so we weren't going to get one. But then our favorite Atlanta bakery canceled on our dessert table plans. And my mom kept talking about having a proper wedding cake. Needless to say, I caved on my wedding cake stance and it ended up being a great decision. Molly at d'lish came highly recommended from several people. Her pricing is pretty standard for the Charleston area, starting at $4.75/slice. I had a very simple design in mind: exposed layers. I sent her pictures of cakes and listed what I loved and didn't like, and she nailed it. After tax and delivery fees, our cake came out to just over $7/slice. Molly offers tastings on Mondays, but since we were planning from afar, we picked up our tasting box on a Saturday. Wedding cake tasting was so much fun and we both ended up with the same winner: hummingbird. I don't know if the days of dry wedding cakes and tasteless icing are gone, but Molly's cakes are awesome.* I do have one suggestion for d'lish, though: Hire some admin help for Molly. She is super sweet, but it always took her 4-5 days to respond to my emails. *I'm happy to report that we had a bunch of cake leftover and I've been enjoying it...nightly. One more thing: Don't forget that you will need a cake stand!

Iced coffee was refreshing I came back the next morning for another round. It was flavorful yet not sugary. It definitely gave me a kick and got addicted to it, except I'm only in the area for 4 days. Staff and manager were friendly yet professional. Although I was charged twice, the manager assured me they would fix it once the line was manageable. Somehow I trusted her word for it, just the manner with which she handled it was text book! Indeed, saw the overcharged taken care of by the next day. A must stop in downtown historic Charleston for sure! Great awesome pastries, sandwiches Parisian style made and clean refreshing breakfast beverages. This is the best patisserie option which actually lives up to its name, unlike those wannabe k ones!!!

The pastry case was full and beautiful with savory and sweet options. There's a fair amount of indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. I ordered a hazelnut latte which was bold and delicious. Despite saying I was dining in, it was served in a to go cup - I do wish I received it in a cup/mug. I also tried the almond croissant which was flaky and not overly sweet. The croque monsieur was indulgent and cheesy - although, I wish it was slightly hotter when served. The portion of everything matched the price.

While the café isn't officially pet friendly indoors, we've brought Luna inside with us just to place our order, and no one has ever said anything. If you're looking to sit and eat, there's a very cute (though small) porch area out front. Despite the limited seating, we've always managed to find an open spot during our visits. What I didn't realize until more recently is that they actually have a huge patio in the back as well. It's such a great space and gives you a lot more room to sit and relax. They even have a lift in the back area for disabled accessibility, which I thought was really great to see and not something you find everywhere. Always love the coffee here -- great flavor, consistent quality, and a spot we'll definitely keep coming back to.

The desserts really should have been discarded and not served. Very disappointed. Service could have been better. No way the staff didn't know how old the desserts were in the case. Cookie was okay, better than the desserts in the case. Overall a waste of money and would recommend going somewhere else for dessert.
