They said I would need Deb. They looked all around for Deb for 45 minutes and realized she wasn't there that day. I left, which was frustrating. I've never had a problem with Lowe's until now. I would discourage anyone from buying cabinets from Lowe's. They have lied to me through the entire process. An associate in cabinets told me the cabinets should be installed in about 2-3 weeks. It's been 5 weeks and my cabinets have not been installed. I'm currently waiting on a replacement cabinet that was measured incorrectly. They could have at least installed the rest of the cabinets so I could get my kitchen back. Part of the cabinets (the section with our kitchen sink) were removed 3 weeks ago. The latest email i got from Lowe's shows it will be a little over a month before I get my replacement cabinet section. When I called the installation associate, she told me the cabinet has not been constructed yet. So either she's lying or the email I got from Lowe's has lied. read more

We were looking for the washer & dryer ASAP. The washer has to be 27" depth to fit in our laundry room. We went to a Home Depot and three other Lowe's stores to find a white self-cleaning electric range Home Depot in Fairfield, Lowe's in Bessemer, Hoover, and Lake Shore Dr. None of these stores had it, so we drove all the way to this Lowe's in Fultondale. Yep, Sam the salesclerk said, we have it! Thank Good God! Our tenant will be so happy!! We got it loaded onour truck, drive to our duplex, unpacked it, unloaded it, brought it in the house, discovered it is not the self cleaning one. Called Lowe's. These are the phone calls: 1. Connect to appliances. Person on the phone listens to me. Of course I am disappointed and upset. Her response? What do you want me to do about it. Disconnects on me 2. Connect to appliances. Person on the phone asks me to hold. 17 minutes later the call disconnects 3. Connect to appliances. Ask for Sam, the person who made the sale. She has me provide the model number on the range, wants to put me on hold. I ask her not to because I keep getting disconnected. Does not ask for my phone number, Promises to get right back to me. Stay on hold 17 minutes. Disconnects 4. connect to customer service. Ask for the store manager. He isn't in. Ask for the manager in duty. Get manager on the phone. Tell him what happened. He says he will fix this. We pack up the range back on the truck. Tenant is disappointed. Has been without a range all day. Note: We are retired so loading and unloading the range is not fun Drive back to the store. Customer service is very nice apologizes. Gets us the correct range. Gets the wrong one off the truck and loads the new one. It is now after 6:00pm. We started the search for this range at 10:00am. Was a very unpleasant experience. read more

Found the perfect refrigerator and decent customer service. Placed order on Nov 25 with an approved delivery day for Nov 30. That day came and went, no items received. When I called they said they weren't sure what happened but it was scheduled for 12/7. Frustrated, I let it go and waited since they said the winday was first thing in the morning, 8am-12pm. Got a few updated notifications saying it was on its way, thank you and then updated today window of deliveryoved to 1-5pm. Rearranged schedule and appts twice now. Notification said they would call within 30-min of delivery. 4:45 rolls around no call so I call the number listed. Automated service said time had change to 2-6pm, but I waited for a live agent this time. No notification that window changed either except that I called to find out why I hadn't had a call yet. Rep said no delivery y was going to be made due to missing items? Then told me it was a store error so they transferred me to the store. After a 58in phone call and transfer, I cancelled my order and going to get my cash refund (b/c) that's how I paid. They wouldn't be able to deliver until 12/21 now, compensate (other than refund) or store credit or nothing for all this. Frustrated to tears. read more

Let's be honest, I was irate when I entered the store but was determined to be my usual kind, gracious and happy self. We waited again for someone to wait on us. She was extremely professional but was a trainee. It seems they had the washer in stock and the computer didn't show one anywhere that could be trusted. So we waited while her trainer finished with her current customer. She proceeded to try and tell me the unit I have researched for weeks is a "special order"! After being in at least 9 different appliances departments (before the storms hit) not one person has said anything about it being a special order! After my rebuttal she backed off that "statement" and said each time she's sold one it was a special order purchase for her. I walked to the front of the store to try and call the Fultondale store again to try and prevent driving there in vain. The above review is for the Trussville store. It took me 5 different calls to finally get the store manager on the phone. I was hung up on twice when I asked someone to go physical check on their inventory. Finally I asked for the store manager after calls went unanswered twice. He was checking inventory when my call was dropped. I had to walk back into the appliance department to get the unit's item numbers. I decided to just take my chances and drive to the Leeds' Lowe's. read more

She was such a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable love love love her. Lumber dept well knowing that many people have been transferred from the Graysville store and not knowing where much was because of different schematics I was very understanding, but when you ask multiple people to find 1 x 6 x 8 picket fence slats and the store says there are 402 and no men can find them well now I'm getting frustrated from being sent to the garden dept for the wood and they say no it's in lumber. So now I'm back to lumber and Debra Welch the ASM found the wood no problem and David Bryers in pro services both of them were awesome, so all I've got to say is Fultondale Lowe's you have some great employees 1 out of 10 I'd give your store a 9 for sure. read more

Bought a dishwasher in store and was told they had one in stock and would be delivered in two to three days. Cut to a week later and three phone calls that I was told the company M and M would be delivering it. Never had one call from the company. The standard lowes. This will be a short review, but I wanna throw some help out for those DIY or home improvement people that may not be pros at this. Honestly, the weekend warriors are the ones that will get some value if this: 1. Lowe's generally is around the same price as Home Depot (HD), but if anything it will be higher 2. Lowe's will be much less staffed, so you will have a harder time getting help. 3. the helpers here are usually less experienced. I have been to home Depot before and I had a cabinet making expert help me with my cabinets and a lady who had been working with blinds for 20 years expertly cut my blinds. Sincerely, home Depot has better experts. 4. Lowe's has a vastly inferior selection of things. For example, if you need insulation there is only one selection with r-13 or r30. You're going to be stuck with John Mansfield. If you go to home Depot, you may have two or three selections. This applies to paint, hardware, and pretty much everything in the store. 5. If you are looking for Big ticket hardware items, such as doors or tubs or anything that requires a decent amount of effort, there will not be that much of a selection. Aka, you get what you see. 6. The staff can be super friendly. 7. THEIR RETURN POLICY IS GREAT!!! U CAN RETURN EVERYTHING. 8. THEY HAVE A TON OF PLANTS AND GARDEN STUFF 9. Nobody will get mad at you for parking in the pro area. Their is practically no specialized stuff like stair treads, handrails, or drywall Jack's 10. The tool rental is totally eclipsed by Home Depot. Moral of the story: go to home Depot if u can. Horrible customer service, Called two times and was disconnected and then when I called back twice more to speak to the store manager I was disconnected both times yet again. So I got in my car, drove down to speak to the manager face to face about the customer service and he wouldn't even see me after I stood there 20 minutes. Another guy came out saying he was "one" of the store managers. Funny, he was not wearing a manager name tag. So now I'm being lied to. Lowes needs to pay more attention to their customer service. The staff at this Lowe's is a good bunch of folks. While my wife and I painted, floored, and did other touch-up projects on our new home this place was essentially our second home. When we had questions about tiling our basement, the lady back in flooring offered some great tips, and when I installed a utility sink in our garage, a gentleman in plumbing was indispensable for his advice. All in all, a good customer service record in our frequent experience and being five minutes from our house, Lowe's in Fultondale gets my thumbs-up. read more

As far as Lowe's is concerned, this is a legit location. Friendly staff, as clean as a Lowe's can be and right of the Hwy. The other "orange" store seems to have a better selection of stuff in general but this Lowe's happens to be much closer than any of those. The staff here are generally friendly, and you can usually find someone to help you out when you need it. I have always bought my appliances at lowes, But I purchased a dishwasher GE stainless , would not drain and leaked first month, service tech came out and stated we pushed a wrong button! Ok maybe we did! It appears the dishwasher has been leaking for past seven months and we were unaware, the water was leaking UNDER my hardwood flooring, this caused my flooring to buckle up , plus my carpet pad was wet! All the manager and his assistant told me was I should have bought lowes protection plan even though it does not cover damage . The assistant was very condescending , when I explained I could not afford 100.00 or 150.00 for more coverage, after the discussion, he stated nothing he could do about it, also talked with manager with the same response. WHO DOES TAKE RESPONSIBILITY ! They took my money for a dishwasher that didn't last a year!!! Shame shame on lowes read more
