I ordered a range, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave on Thanksgiving. I got the fridge on 1 December with no issues. The microwave and dishwasher some time later. The dishwasher was the wrong model and color. They came and got it a week later but can't deliver the correct dishwasher until the old one is at the store. A few days later they delivered the correct one after I talked to the manager. They did refund me $200 for the installation and for my inconvenience. The range... Like I said I ordered it also on Thanksgiving and was told it would be delivered with the others. Then I was told it would come in mid December. Then I received an email saying 21 December which I was ok with since it was before Christmas. When my 14hr window (7am-9pm) was scheduled I never got a confirmation email so I called and was told it would be 26 December for delivery. We're hosting Christmas. I then got an email saying it would be 20 January for delivery. I went requested a refund for the range. They happily canceled my order with no apology. I went to ApplianceMart and bought a lesser range for more money plus delivery. I only give Lowe's one star because the app makes me and because as a corporation they're good to veterans. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING from them. I will use Home Depot that's further away before I go back. If you have to shop there only buy things that you can take home that day (tools, lumber, lights etc.). The customer service desk workers are nice but are hamstrung by a terrible computer system. read more

Went here yesterday and no one, I repeat NO ONE knew what they were talking about. I kept asking about perennials and they kept showing me annuals finally after the 4th employee I asked told me where they were. One of the employees was quite rude. I asked her a question and she mumbled an answer and after I said "excuse me I didn't get that" she got a attitude with me and just didn't want to help me at all. I was practically walking around the garden center clueless and not one person asked if they could help. Never going back after this horrible experience. I was there 2 hours because no one would help and kept telling me false information. read more

How do I articulate my appreciation for the incredible shopping experience I enjoyed today? I returned in the afternoon to purchase additional mulch. I also had a question about flowers. Linda was busy watering the plants outside and immediately stopped to assist me. She not only walked me to additional inventory, but she also explained the difference between several plants. I am impressed with her knowledge and her ability to explain in such a way I understood. Her willingness to assist me is greatly appreciated. More importantly, at no point did I feel rushed. Linda was extremely patient and helpful. I purchased the plants and mulch. After the cashier rang up my purchase, I drove to have the mulch placed in my vehicle. Seeing David a second time was more like meeting a friend or neighbor. Like the morning encounter, he was professionally personable. Both exhibited a "you are a valuable Lowe's customer" attitude. As an older adult, the respectful, caring treatment means so very much!! Please know David and Linda are outstanding representatives of Lowe's core values. read more

The employees here are ALWAYS helpful with a smile on their faces every time I go here. This is the closest to my house, other than the one on Dallas Hwy and I'd rather go here to get my home improvement supplies. Last night, was no exception. I forget the employee's name that works in the bath section, but she is remarkable. She will go to lengths to help me find what I need, as she did last night. It's great that there are people out there with that attitude because going into those kinds of stores can be intimidating for first-time do-it-yourself'ers like me. read more

I'm not sure what is going on at Lowe's lately. I've had good experiences with them in the past, but this last one really makes me wonder. My dryer died. It was expected, it was 15 years old. Luckily, it was the week before Memorial Day and Lowe's was having a "sale," so I went in and found a Maytag at a reasonable price, bought it, and set up a delivery date. Of course the date I wanted wasn't available. Saturday was all booked up. I settled on Friday and took time off from work to get it then. Their delivery folks brought it over within the time window promised (see my review of XPO Last Mile if you're interested in the type of company Lowe's entrusts their deliveries to). I didn't see the crew unbox the dryer, so I really can't say if it was brand new or not. They did install the feet. But I've never seen a crew lay the appliance on its back in the street to do that sort of thing before. Anyway, I set up the dryer. Well, I tried to set up the dryer. I even followed all the directions in the book (and I'm a guy!). But the dryer wouldn't run. I went to Lowe's and bought a new power cord, just to eliminate that as an issue. It still wouldn't run. So I finally gave up and called the store. The manager, Daniel, said all the right things and asked me to come in so they could work something out. I did. By that I mean I came in. One other interesting note. When I spoke to Daniel on the phone, he asked me what about the dryer and told me what I paid for it. Only the price he told me was lower than what I had paid by about $60. Because it was on sale. Even though it had been on sale when I bought it. Yeah, I can't follow that logic either. When I got back to the appliance department, the guy who originally sold me the dryer asked if he could help me. I explained the situation and what Daniel had said. I had already been their for about 10 minutes looking around, so I had a good idea which dryers were viable as a replacement just in case the one I had bought wasn't available. Unfortunately, Lowe's (or at least this Lowe's) didn't plan for the sale well. There were none of the dryer I had bought in stock and they wouldn't be available until Tuesday. It was the same story with ALL of the other dryers I was interested in. How does that happen? More annoying, the salesman really had a hard time believing a brand new Maytag dryer would be broken right out of the box. He suggested I should check my outlet to ensure that wasn't the problem. Even though I explained to him that the old dryer would still run, but the heating coil had failed. He was sure it was the outlet. Made a point of that. As to the problem with the delivery date? He offered to sell me the floor model of any of the ones I was interested in. I asked if he could test them so we would know they worked. He said they didn't have any 220 outlets there and couldn't do that. Great. I have to trust that the dryer won't be defective again. Oh, and I can make that claim with full surety. I called an electrician and had the outlet checked. Not only that, but we hooked the dryer up and checked it, too. The light inside the drum is on, but no one is home at the control panel. Even though the machine is getting 220 (240 as measured) at the connection. Add $89 to this experience, plus the time away from work, plus the time spent connecting the dryer up. Lots of lost opportunity cost in this particular adventure. read more

The appliance department failed to acquire all the appliances in the kitchen suite prior to the delivery date, then cancelled the delivery by mistake, the manager to whom I was referred refused to get on the phone, and finally after much work to reschedule delivery for the available item, at 5:30 pm, after waiting all day, the time was pushed to 8-10 pm. At 9:30 the driver called to say he was taking the fridge back to the store and going home. Epic fail by everyone associated with this transaction. Absolutely no regard for the customer. One star is too generous. read more

Many, many thanks to P. Simeon of Lowe's in Austell. Simeon went "above and beyond" in solving a major rekeying problem for me that could not be solved by just any Lowe's employee. Simeon is dedicated to customer satisfaction and doing what it takes to keep customer's coming back to shop at Lowes. His willingness and ability to find a solution to my problem meant the difference between my "tearing up my Lowe's card for good" or wanting to give him a huge hug! This is what keeps me shopping at Lowe's over the "other home improvement store" when I renovate investment property. I hope Lowe's corporate appreciates this star employee as much as I do! read more

This is a terrible store. They were unhelpful in refunding me $11.00 just because I misplaced my receipt. The management was nasty and rude. I went to Home Depot down the street and they found the exact product that I needed which did the job. Home Depot is the best and they have plenty of associates on the floor to help you. Lowes doesn't have anybody and if they do they don't know much of anything. They are very rude and untrained. Home Depot I am now your customer forever. read more

After receiving a call last night from JB Hunt to confirm delivery window of 12:30pm - 2:30pm EST today, I was stunned to receive this message below -- within the scheduled delivery window time. This is the second time Lowe's has changed the delivery date ON THE SCHEDULED DELIVERY DATE with no prior notice of order status. When I called your Customer Service department today I was informed the item was backordered by the manufacturer. Question: why did Lowe's twice intentionally misrepresent that the order was scheduled to be delivered when -- in fact -- Lowe's did not have possession of the item at the time at which Lowe's/JB Hunt scheduled a delivery window? Regardless of the reason for the backorder, Lowe's should have informed me immediately of the backorder status and not misled me to believe the order would be delivered as Lowe's committed to the delivery date. Lowe's has done this to me twice -- no more. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, we will not do business now or in the future read more

Unfortunately this will not be a good one. This Lowe's location is the closets one to me and I always wanted to support it... until today. I received the most horrendous and disrespectful customer service at this location by a woman called Dana. The moment I came up to the counter I could tell she was unhappy. I returned a carpet shampoo machine I had rented the day before. Unfortunate this machine was so filthy that when we started shampooing, it left black track marks on the carpet. Not only did we have to get on our knees to clean the filth left behind by this machine, but we also had to hose the actual machine down and get all the dirt out of it. When I proceeded to tell Dana what had happened, she immediately cut me off and told me that ALL the machines are dirty. So when I asked her if that was acceptable considering they charge $20 cleaning fee, she proceeded to tell me those machines belong to another company and I should not expect them to clean every machine they get, which by the way not once did I say any anything about them cleaning them. When I pressed that at least they should check them and that I wasn't trying to be mean about it, just informing her, she kept on arguing with me, which to be honest was confusing. I wasn't asking for compensation, but I did expect some sort of acknowledgment or validation. But The woman insisted in arguing the inarguable, she even told a co-worker who was trying to get me to accept some compensation (finally somebody with good customer service skills), that she "didn't want to talk to her" while pointing her finger at me. Seriously, it was almost comical but it really wasn't. She was undermining and point blank out of line. My intent her is not for this woman to lose her job, but for someone to give her some coaching or have her reassigned away from customers. She needs to stop taking her unhappiness out on them. When I left there was another customer waiting for me outside shaking her head in unbelief as she witnessed how I was just treated and recommended I called the store manager which I will. Ended up at Lowe's on July 4th after a slight mistake I made while assembling my grill. I won't get into details about the problem but the end result was a stripped screw and bolt from the grill lid. There was no removing unless I had bolt cutters or a hacksaw which I didn't have. Off I went to Lowe's with grill in hand. I give credit Lowe's employees are friendly and helpful. The woman at customer service saw the lid in my hand and guided me to hardware. Tony in hardware saved the day. He was able to remove the bolt. After he removed the screw, he went off and found the correct type of screw and bolt. You can tell Tony was an expert, unlike other places where the people had no clue what they were doing. My grill problem was solved quickly and I was out within thirty minutes. Note to self get a hacksaw. Second note, buy a pre-assembled grill, screw putting it together (no pun intended). The only reason I purchased at Lowes is because they would deliver tomorrow....I now will not be getting my washer until Friday (3 days later) and that is ONLY if someone else doesn't screw up their job and fail to call me back in time. The actual page where you purchase on Lowe's website and "Brian T." on Lowe's chat said I would get my washer delivered tomorrow. The set up is you have to purchase first and then Lowe's calls you to schedule. Just know the next day delivery is not guaranteed at all, so don't use that while considering your purchase! Also the chick on the phone was extremely condescending and patronizing explaining that when more people purchase items that means more items are put on the trucks, that means the days fill up and they have to open a new day for delivery. It took us 3 years to make a final decision on getting someone to do our deck. We signed a contract on May 3, 2014 with Lowes to get our deck done. We had very clear instructions on what we wanted; it is July 28, 2014 and we have yet to receive that deck. Lowes subcontracted their companies to do the work which is fine. However, if the service is going to be mediocre that is a problem. The first contractors went over everything with us and when it was time to get started, they were running behind and when they arrived, there was no project manager only the workers that only spoke Spanish. They were asking my husband what were they supposed to be doing?? Really, aren't they supposed to know? Also, they came to our home with someone else's plans not ours. My husband sent them away and we requested them to get another company that could handle the job. It took them weeks to resolve that issue, now we have the second company, they have torn down the deck, we had a dumpster in our driveway for a week, it was full so they took it away. But, they had more stuff to go in the dumpster and it is sitting in my driveway for the 2nd week now. It is a mess and no one has answers, they will not call us, we contact them. We have been getting the run around since we signed this contract. They come to work when they decide to we have had to tell the same people over and over again how we want our deck and I am so over it! I am so unhappy about how this has been handled! This deck is over $8000!!! When we try to get someone on the phone we get transferred and we have people telling us that it is not their responsibility. I will never deal with this company again! read more
