I came in for paint, and was so anxious to get the heck OUT because of all the toxic noxious smells. I felt so bad for the employees! Then I saw a cat, and I asked about him. They told me that he is the shop cat. Oh great, this poor cat has to breathe in the noxious fumes 24/7!!!! This is HORRIBLE! Someone needs to intervene in this store - the Health Dept.? IDK but I felt awful for the employees (at least they get to leave after their shifts) and that POOR CAT. Animal abuse! I got my paint quickly and rushed out. 0 stars would be more appropriate. They pretend to do equipment repair. They are rarely staffed, and usually only by one person. An estimated time of repairs is never available, even after diagnosis and parts ordering. The staffing changes periodically, as I'm sure they are treated just as poorly by the store owner as he treats his customers. If you want third world service, then this is your place! read more

My U-Haul drop off location & amongst the two employees working I got taken care of pretty quickly. I like the efficiency of the return process. There was another employee who was off the clock, yet happily guided me with some last minute purchases...cleaning products & more face masks. The home & garden section is huge with various displays on the patio before you walk into the store. The store has a little bit of everything situated in a clean fashion & easy on the pockets. I took my lawnmower to get repaired on 8/3/24. I explained to the employee the issue that I was having. I was told that I had to pay 35.00 for it to be repaired so i did so. I was told it would not take long to fix. After calling on several occasions and going to the store twice in which I was told that there was a delay with the part, I was told that it was finally fixed on 8/13/24. As I went to get the lawnmower I was told to come to the front to pay the remaining balance. I said what remaining balance I was unaware of a remaining balance and don't you think you should've have told me about the balance the 5 times I called. I was told I couldn't get the lawnmower until I paid a balance of 93.08. I said of I would've known it was going to be that much I would've just came back to get it without it getting repaired. The only explanation I was given is that they don't know how much it would cost to fix it until it's fixed which makes no sense. I called the corporate office. They told me that everything is at the discretion of the store since it's a franchise. I told Ace Hardware corporate that if we're willing to attach your name to a store like this I will never come to any of your stores again. I definitely wouldn't recommend this store or any Ace Hardware for that matter now that I know how Ace Hardware does business. JUST SAY NO TO ACE. I'm split on this one. I called for service for a riding mower. We set up an appointment for pick up but they never showed or called. I called a few times to see what their timeline look like, and all I could get was the guy was running behind. So zero stars for that. I went in one day to pick up a tool for changing out some plumbing and they had it. The other small local hardware store did not and I didn't want to go all the way to the Big Box store. When I arrived, everyone was kind and helpful. It felt like a family. The team worked together. They were excellent. First of all I'd like to say that living in the neighborhood I know this place is under fairly new ownership so it's expected that there are kinks to be worked out. I shop here all the time and have only ever had a great experience. The owner, Joshua, is always there, friendly, and working with his team which interacts like family. They have SO much inventory. Zero stars is appropriate. I made a few purchases on 5/1 and was convinced to buy a tool by a sales associate and told that if I didn't need it I could always return it. Here it is 5/12 and I attempted to return this unopened tool. I was told by the manager, Josh, that I could not return it due to Covid 19. I asked him if this was an Ace Hardware policy and he said yes that they got a call and were told not to except returns, but that he would take it back in 30 days. My receipt clearly states no returns after 30 days. Everything in that store has been touched by human hands yet somehow my return is going to transmit Covid 19. This is a fine example of how some business is abusing a global pandemic. Absolute terrible service, borderline scam, and I will never do business with this Ace Hardware in Lithia Springs GA again! Sits at the corner of Lee Road and South Sweetwater Rd. They sit inside of a fence that is pulled at about 5 minutes til closing time.In general it's your typical Ace Hardware. Friendly staff. I like this one for garden/yard items and accessories. I appreciate the outdoor pond and the area that houses plants. It gives you a realistic idea of what your garden could look like and shows you how well certain plants/veggies will do outside in the elements. I frequent this locaion more that the other location closer to my home because the staff is usually more friendly, professional and attentive. Ask any question about any item in this store ladies they will have an answer for you and it's going to be the right answer. If not Sorry but, don't complain to me about it though. OK. 12/8/2020 I was an employee of Lithia Springs Ace Hardware (which is a franchise and does not reflect on all other locations). Joshi, the owner, is the most shady person I know. He marks up the merchandise by 50%. He orders from Amazon (and calls it AZ to hide it from you) and charges double the price to whom ever he is selling to. He also orders non OEM parts to repair customers machines and passes it off as certified parts but really its a 50/50 chance that it will work. The mechanics are good people, but fear for their jobs. When Joshi hires employees (like me as the assistant manager) he refuses to allow you to sign any paperwork ( even a W4, no evidence AT ALL that I ever worked there, not even an application) even after weeks of asking and demanding. Then when I received my paycheck it was nearly $200 short. I was salary and hadn't signed paperwork so it was pretty clear on what to expect. He processed me as hourly and whatever wage he decided on. There are many other employees on the same boat. Never trust him, never shop here! He WILL rip you off! An update: 12/15/2020 I went to pick up my paycheck that Joshi owes me for the 50+ hours that I put in for that week. He flat out refused to pay me! Hadn't even written a check. Landscapers beware this place is absolutely terrible. I regret spending all the money I did with them. The prices listed online DO NOT coincide with the prices on the products in the store. The owner marks them up to the price so pay attention. I brought in my Zero turn mower because the deck was bent. I was told by one of the mechanics there I needed a whole new deck. They didn't have the deck there so I was told to come get my mower. When I did go get it the owner stops me in the parking lot and asks me to trust him they can repair my deck better than new. They charged me over 600 and didn't weld but half of the deck and didn't even weld the scalping wheels back on. When I asked the owner to honor what he promised and finish welding my deck; he tells me I was happy with the half deck. And if I want the deck finished it will cost me more money. I am a small family business and for them to take all this money from me and not be willing to honor they promises has put a big hurt on my business. Sad to write this review, because I have gone to Ace Hardwares throughout my entire life and have never had an issue. In the four years that I have lived here I have yet to visit this location. Today I did, and here is what I have for you. First off, the location is terrible. It's right before a four way intersection, and while turning in is a breeze, getting out of it is not. The only reason I am giving this place a two out of five instead of a one is because when I came in the lady at the front welcomed me and when I left she wished me a good day. That being said I do not know why she welcomed me, because I told her what I was looking for and she asked over the intercom, but then proceeded to help someone in line and completely disregard me. It was really weird. What upset me a little is that after spending about 10 minutes walking up and down nearly every aisle, which was surprising that it took that long because it is not that big of a place to begin with, I went back up to the front to ask for assistance again. The same girl got on the intercom, this time getting a response, and said that they would meet me at the aisle. So I go back to the aisles and I go up, I go down, I stand and I wait, and needless to say no one came. Surprise surprise. I finally found the location of where the product I was looking for would be, would meaning that of course they did not have it. Really do not have anything positive to say about this place other then you get a hi when you come in and a bye when you leave. OK.....I understand that the old fashioned style hardware store isn't for everyone...if you just need some crappy paint and some generic rollers.....just go to wal-mart... now....if you want to know why people go to a HARDWARE STORE....this place is filled with reasons for that...need that odd ,weird spring that popped off your weed eater that they don't have anywhere?...this place probably has it...need a certain type of dremel head? in five minutes you are out the door with it and not a 40 piece set... just need 5 screws to finish something you are working on?...5 minutes...got them..out the door...without having to buy a box of a 100 that you'll never use... the staff is immediately and completely helpful ,i don't think i have ever gotten more than 2 or 3 minutes into the store before one of them is asking if i need any help finding something.fairly well stocked store and great customer service is why they are always my first stop before i even think of wasting a hour or so trying to find something at a big box store..... read more

The one star rating is my gift for simply answering the phone. Downhill from there. Have used the company very successfully in the past so when it was time for a mower overhaul, I called them again. I spoke with someone and left a message for the repair person/pick-up driver. Nothing. Called couple days later and he admitted to not having given my message but connected me this time. I set up appt. date for pick up and was told I'd receive a call the morning of. No call, nothing. Called that afternoon and was told person and his boss were both on vacation - that's why they didn't call/show. OK. Rescheduled for the next day. Never heard from again.
