Recently went there to have a roof installed by lowes the contractor Vic's interior that they hired does not know what there doing I have a low slop roof and there putting shingles on it the lowes has the correct material in stock .roll roof desert tan.after being a week late they showed up did part of my roof and demanded me sign a paper saying they finished.i went to the store and was told they would be back the next morning to finish the job correctly but now the store says they need to order the material they must think I'm stupid because the store 8 miles away has the roll roof Instock.i have been a general contractor for years and lowes and victors interiors are the worst company ever. Well, I thought a huge department store this size would have the appliances I was looking for and for that matter, have them in stock, but I guess not. I went into purchase a new refrigerator and washer and dryer, thinking that this would be a one stop shop. When the attendant looked up the refrigerator I had in mind their inventory was out. Understandable, but you'd think they'd offer me some other options but I just got blank stares. So I had to call around to 3 different Lowe's locations to locate the fridge and finally set up the purchase and delivery. Then when I tried looking for a washer and dryer, the attendants were still very unhelpful and weren't able to offer me other options when the floor model I was interested in was not in stock. Seriously, I went through 10 different models before finding something that was actually available. Then when I wanted to purchase that washer and dryer at this location, the store attendant tried to talk me out of it and said it would be easier to just purchase it all at the same location where I was buying the fridge. I finally asked them "guys, are you gonna make me go to Home Depot?". Corporate needs to make sure their warehouses are stocked. And the sales people in the appliance section need to be better equipped to sell. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Tried to purchase appliances which took weeks for delivery and installation. Dishwasher still sitting in the garage after waiting one month. It requires an electrician! Installation paid for at purchase and they didn't notice! I went to return an item that I had purchased the day before along with many other things. The item was a door security strike not worth more than 5 bucks. The return guy Matt takes it walks away to a separate computer comes back and says he can't accept it because I switched out the item. I immediately asked for a manager and was greeted by Shelley. She took my item to compare it and returned telling me that the item I was returning was the wrong color and I had switched it out and I bought it longer then a day ago. So again I showed her my receipt, that was for $140, and the date on it and asked her if she really believed that I somehow bought the exact same item, before but different colors, switched them out and tried to return the other one. By far one of the most frustrating appliance purchases I've ever had, start to finish. First- I'm in round rock so I ordered a washer from the store in Hutto. Got a call at 9:30 at night advising me that they didn't have it in stock. When I questioned why their website said they had 1 left the guy had no idea what to say. So I jump back online and see that the only washer of this type left was in Bee Caves but they offer free delivery. Ok fine, I order it. The online ordering was very clear of the waived delivery fee and boasted about free delivery and never specified a certain area. I get a call the next day from a gentleman stating I owed a few. Needless to say that turned into a little disagreement due to their own website offering free delivery. He schedules my delivery for Sunday, free of charge as promised. Fast forward to Saturday. I wait for a confirmation call and never hear anything so I call at 8pm and am told that I am on the docket for delivery and they apologized for not following up. Whatever, it is what it is. Sunday at 12:30 dollars around and no call form anyone saying they are on their way so I call the store. I talked to 4 different people and had to explain my situation to each in full detail because apparently, their employees just blind transfer calls to different departments when they don't know how to help. Great customer service.... finally I get to a manager and at his point I've been on the phone for 25 minutes and I'm heated. He finally confirms that my delivery was set for 2/12/18.... when I asked why I was told my multiple employees that I was confirmed for today I was advised " we are training a lot of new people." So frustrating.I finally got my washer 9 hours later after a day of stress and arguing. Needless to say I'm a Home Depot lady from here on out. The delivery guys were great though! read more

Called today, was asking about the availability of pansies, and Leigh in the garden department tells me that they ordered too many pansies this year and that she will give me a good discounted price. I'm impressed that Lowes has surpassed Home Depot given the wild success of HD in the early days of these chains. Lowes has continually improved selection and prices, HD has waned in selection. Lowes workers are more readily available and seem pleased to help you. I'll keep shopping here. read more

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life than this past weekend with Lowes. From the sales associate to the delivery driver; everything went wrong, and they were unpleasant, rude and dishonest the whole time. We had a Lowe's/Harbor Breeze ceiling fan fall from the living room ceiling. It fell down right where our children normally play, fortunately it happened in the middle of the night. Bad enough this happened, but it's now about a month later and they have done nothing to address the problem. It's very clearly a manufacturing defect. No apology and they don't even have any interest in a pretty major safety issue. This is the type of service level you'd expect in a third world country. read more

One of the WORST customer service I have seen in a long while. One of the floor representative was rude to begin with my concerns. I have been a long time lowes customer with all my appliances bought there last 3 times. My contractor bought a lot of lumber for my decking project and one piece of wood was extra which I wanted to return. The manager by the name April said she had to check on their security cameras to make sure my contractor bought that item here. Never heard of that restriction ever before. She needs to be re-trained on how to talk to a customer. I am never going back again. Thankfully, we have a home depot nearby and she seemed to smirk and not care if I went to home depot. As a small business owner I spend about 500-1000$ a month at lowes. The other day I came in at 7am and went shopping . I bought a lot of little things that are hard to scan and some bigger stuff that did not have any stickers on it. When I arrived at the checkout stand (the only ones open were the self checkout ), there was an older lady there staring at me. No one else around . I did not want to go thru the nightmare of trying to scan all the things that would have taken along time to do. I asked the lady there if she could do it. Without hesitation, she said she couldn't and told me if I wanted that kind of help I would have to go to the other side of the store to the lumber area. That's absurd. 1st there was NO ONE IN THE STORE! 2nd, it's a ridiculous policy that the self checkout person can't help u out. I would understand if they were busy but they were not. Home Depot will help u out every time not to mention they always have another checkout stand open next to the self checkout . I talked to the manager but she did not seem to care. read more

I like Lowes for their prices, service, and selection. But lately there has been an increase in people bringing their dogs in the store. I like dogs, but not when they bark in store, and not when I saw one nip at a child. They should not be allowed unless they are seeing eye dogs for the blind. We placed an order for a Kitchen Aid refrigerator during the 4th of July sale that was going on. The item was on back order for 4 weeks. Our previous fridge was no longer working so this meant a month without a fridge and I have a family to feed. We bought a mini fridge and have done our best to shop small, several times a week. It's been super hard. We received a call that our fridge would be delivered the next day - right on time - YAY!!! Then we received another call saying, "Actually, I guess we never ordered your fridge, we don't know why. Call the store tomorrow to figure it out." Mind you, we've already been charged and made two payments on it. So we call the next day and they don't know what happened but they now finally place the order and we're told, unapologetically, that we'll receive our fridge in 3-4 weeks. Nothing for our trouble or in kind to make up for our hardship due to their mistake. Incredibly disappointing. We've gone out of our way to shop at Lowes, even though we have a Home Depot much closer. I'm not seeing our loyalty be earned or rewarded. I don't feel compelled to give them future business. read more

Recently purchased a dishwasher and was told a maximum of 11 days for delivery. It took 18 days. I called on day 12 when I hadn't heard from anyone. They somehow had the wrong # for me even though it was correct on all of my paperwork. I could have purchased it on-line and gotten it in 4. If they tell you it will not take longer for delivery if you want it installed, that is not true. It took 5 extra days because I paid for them to install. read more

The staff listened to my concerns and changed the delivery date and also helped me obtain the pedestal which was also on sale. With my 5% Lowes credit card discount, I saved a bundle! We found the product I was looking for online, but by then, lady got frustrated for lack of info and, I guess, gave up the sale. I went to Lowe's today to find a shelf support bracket for my glass shelf. I had the original with me to show the salesperson the exact thing I was looking for. I asked three different people where to find it and all three sent me to a different isle..... no luck. I then found Barbara....she walked me to the isle, couldn't find it, got on her computer and saw Lowe's didn't carry it. Found where in Austin I could find it. Printed me the description of the bracket, printed me the map and then the directions on where to go. She did all this with a smile! Went to this Lowe's a few years ago because I was in the area. The store was super clean, employees are super helpful. I was building a retail space at the time and compared prices between here and Home Depot often. I always ended up here because the sales specialists knew what they were talking about and went out of their way to show me all my options in all different price ranges. Most of what I was pricing out (ceiling fans, light fixtures, plumbing supplies, door handles, etc) were cheaper by a few dollars at Lowes. read more

Took power washer in for repair. An 866 number calls me with only a recording to call them right back for an estimate. I have called twice and have been on hold for over 45 minutes. Called store and they cannot give me a price to repair, only the 866 number can. this is a ridiculous catch 22. read more

I had to get a new stove because the prior repair people - appliance pros of Austin, broke the glass while repairing my stove. Lowes was easy to work with, had good prices, sent someone to measure kitchen and give me options, and installer cut granite and installed new stove with no issues. Our experience couldn't have been any more positive, especially after the fiasco with Appliance Pros of Austin breaking the old stove. read more

In spite of numerous phone calls and even a written request, I still have an installation issue with my $5,000 Lowes custom-ordered garage doors. Be advised...if they take all your money up front, you may have difficulty with any recourse if there are problems, especially if they can blame them on a sub-contractor. read more

Never ever ever buy an extended warranty plan on Lowes appliances especially on Samsung washers and dryers. Our new Samsung washer and dryer stays broken more than operational. On This round we have been without a washer and dryer for more than a month. Lowe's extended warranty people have no relationship with Samsung. They send sub contractors to your house. One division handles washers. One division handles dryers, neither speak to each other and they are rude and indifferent. Seven times we have been promised a call back from a supervisor, never happened. It's a pure scam to add money on to your bill (the extended warranty program) and they just hope you finally give up. They weigh the odds, unfortunately for them Samsung is a terrible brand for washer and dryers. Never ever buy a Samsung washer or dryer. Oh by the way simultaneously while Lowes is sending out their folks with discontinued parts and never repairing anything, Samsung is calling and trying to send another company out at the same time, for cash. This is a real chink in Lowe's armor, don't get sucked into the extended warranty plan on their appliances. It will never be honored in any way close to what you would expect or how it's represented by the salespeople. read more

This WAS going to be a bad review until Albert in Home Appliances saved the day. We had purchased our new refrigerator with one aloof, disinterested salesperson who promised we could get the new fridge on a certain date, then got a call the next day to say it wouldn't be delivered on said date because the fridge had disappeared. She promised she'd call me back after she received the new delivery date from the distribution center. After a few hours, I called back and spoke with Albert who told me the other Home Appliance associate had left for the day, and there were no notes in my record regarding information about my fridge or when it would be delivered. But he promised he'd look into it and get back to me. HE ACTUALLY DID! Albert called me back, and not only that, he said my fridge would be delivered as expected! I'm not sure if these associates are on commission, but Albert went above and beyond and I certainly hope he'll be recognized by the associate who never got back to me as promised by thanking, and also sharing her commission (if there is one), but also by his supervisors. He's a star. He definitely needs some applause (in the form of a big raise)! P.S. He never said anything disparaging about the person who dropped the ball. He was only positive and helpful. read more

Walked in around noon today. Went straight to lumber department and talked to a woman at the desk. Told her that i needed lumber for a project but that i needed each piece of lumber cut so that it would fit in my SUV. I needed each piece of 8' lumber to be reduce to 6 feet or less. She told me it would be no problem as long as the wood was not treated. I asked who would do the cutting for me. She point to two 60+ y/o gentlemen who were at that moment in a heated conversation about how much work they had to do. I was the only customer there so i assume they were talking about a truck that needed to be unloaded. As soon as they found out i needed lumber cut one threw up his hands and said "I guess i'm on my own you need to take care of him". The other led me over to the lumber and promptly told me that his manager would not allow them to cut lumber for customers and he wandered off to another section. I promptly left the store leaving behind the $600 in additional tools i needed and went to Home Depot were my order for lumber and tools were satisfied without the attitude for about $10 extra. Well worth skipping the grumpy old man scene at Lowes. I know it's nice they are employing senior citizens to help with retirement expenses but how about putting them in positions were they aren't subjected to lifting heavy pieces of lumber all day. They hate it and your customer really do not appreciate the situation either. read more

Do not go here if you are requiring prompt, and accurate service. I went to Lowe's looking for a storm door that included a dog door for my back patio. My dog developed a bladder issue and as I am an ER nurse working 12 hour shifts it was becoming detrimental to my sleep and sanity. I explained the gravity of the situation and was told someone would be sent to measure my door and check out my door frame to make sure the door we purchased from them could be installed (I paid for this service.) The guy came out, completed the measurements and stated everything was okay to proceed. They called me for a day of installation, and when he showed up he had the wrong door, although he was the person who took the measurements and wrote down the specs. I called lowes back, obviously upset because the installation would now be postponed and I was still not sleeping. The next day they were able to fit me in the schedule due to a cancellation, and a new installer came out with the supposed correct sized door. After unloading his equipment and inspecting the door, he informed me that the door was not compatible at all due to the size of my entry way and the size of the original door. Lowes then called to apologize and stated they would call the next day with a resolution to my problem. They did indeed call, but it was to inform me that I would need to pay an additional $500 in order to replace the door I purchased with a regular entry door that had a doggy door as well. Needless to say this was a major waste of three days of my time, countless phone calls, and endless frustration all to be told they can't help me unless I pay the $500. Bought a GE fridge online; free delivery from local store was advertised. Couple of days later I got a call from Darren in appliances saying this thing was too big for them (seemed silly to me--it's only a foot taller and 2 feet wider than normal). So I cancelled. A few days later Darren calls to say the unit has actually arrived and that they know a mover who will deliver. The store won't contract with the mover, but I could directly. So we went to the store and re-did the order. Set up the pick up with the mover and called Darren telling him that the mover was coming the next day. When the mover arrived, the unit had been shipped back to GE. I asked Darren why he didn't put a sold sign on it. He said he didn't think it was necessary. Well I cancelled again. This store does not put the customer first and the people spend no time making sure things go smoothly for the customer. read more
