I want to Give A Big THANK YOU to ( Shawn Henry ) ,We came in for pricing on Cabinets for a House were getting ready to build but need numbers. We got service we didn't expect , Shawn sat us down and WOW, on the CAD program he looked at our plans and he worked out a GREAT cabinet design even a better idea in the kitchen plan than what we had ! Helped with the wood decision that we were stuck on . Showed us contrast for the flooring we were concerned with by showing us pictures of the contrasts. But what was so GREAT unlike others he didn't let phones distract him or when other employees wanted him he let everyone know he was busy and ignored the phone ! We were important to him ! Plus his own knowledge in the building was GREAT. When we walked in we were not sure if we would do more than just pricing but now we will work with Lowe's Home improvement. If I could do less than 1, I would. The specifics are irrelevant. The bottom line is that after months of trying to resolve an installation problem (that I had to pay in full, far in advance of the installation), Lowes customer service is a failure. They argue inside the store, between the sales department and installation, and never quite get over the CYA aspect to fulfill their end of the contract. Never again for me. We needed a well pump and needed quite a bit of help in finding the correct fittings for the new motor to fit the existing set up. Cher was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable, and was able to get us all the materials we needed! This employee was very busy, but took the time to answer all the questions we had, and find all the pieces and information we needed to complete our project. In winter, I ordered a washer and dryer from Lowes and thus began a long, convoluted journey of errors and trips to the laundromat. For the first two months of no delivery, they blamed winter storms in the Midwest. "No one can get to work to ship the appliances from the warehouse." By January I ran out of clean clothes and found a laundromat. February arrived but not my washer and dryer. I now had a favorite laundromat. March winds blew in good news. "Your washer and dryer arrived." and bad news, We accidentally put on the floor and sold to someone else. We'll reorder them." I headed to the laundromat. April showers came but no washer and dryer. "Don't worry, we've reordered them." I worried and went to the laundromat where i was on first name basis. In late May, flowers bloomed and Lowes delivered my long lost washer and dryer. The laundromat manager and I went for a celebratory drink. June brought warmer weather and the first of Lowes many calls. "Your dryer's here. When can we deliver?" I told them it had been delivered, and I didn't need two dryers. In July, the temperature increased and so did Lowes calls. "Your washer's here. When should we deliver?" I explained that I already had the washer and didn't need another one. The calls continued off and on during the August and September. Lowes had reordered several washers and dryers for me. By October I put up my Halloween decorations and opened a third statement for multiple washers and dryers. Christmas, Valentines Day, St.Patrick's Day, Easter, The Fourth of July, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, another holiday season and the following spring all came and went with the mailman bringing statements for washers and dryers.I spoke, then pleaded to several customer service people, that I didn't have multiple washers and dryers. By then, the laundromat manager and I had a favorite bar. By summer of the following year, Lowes removed the multiple billings. I could have started my own laundromat with the washers and dryers Lowes claimed I'd bought, maybe one near a bar. read more

Great prices, quality products and outstanding service. After visiting several flooring companies in Bellingham, we decided on Lowe's due to the previously mentioned factors and their return policy. Anthony in the flooring department is very knowledgable, extremely helpful and genuinely concerned with customer satisfaction. We purchased tile, carpet, lighting and various other items for a house we are building. Because of their service, we will return to purchase window blinds as well. read more

Just want to say how refreshing it was to deal with someone who knew what they were talking about and took care of my questions and followed through! I called today to order some appliances (I tried to order them online but kept getting weird messages about deliver so thought it would be best to call) I had to call 3x because the line kept ringing in the appliance dept. Finally, Molly answers and asks if they had answered my question. By this time, I am already irritated because we all know how this plays out.....Instead, she helped me figure out what I needed, and because she couldn't find the item in my cart, helped me find a replacement, worked out our deliver issues, etc.... she was very delightful, didn't talk to me like a robot or get defensive when I was clearly frustrated. I really appreciate her service and I will be a returning customer. That kind of service is a long lost art. I really appreciate it! read more

Appliance department- Associate: Phil. I never intended to buy a new dishwasher from Lowes, big box hardware stores are hardly known for customer service. I needed to buy a dishwasher for a house that never had one before,an older house with shallow depth counter cabinets. I knew this was going to be problematic and figured I would need an associate to help walk me through different models and options. I only went to lowes because after doing a little online research saw they carried a brand of dishwashers that made shorter depth washers. Let me mention it was Labor Day weekend and appliances department was crazy bananas busy. The first person to help me, after I explained my situation showed me a dishwasher that he said would work, told me there was one in back and quickly left to assist other people. No biggie, it was busy and he was helpful... it was exactly the type of service I expect from Lowes or Home depot. Not completely sold on the idea of taking the first thing offered to me, I continued to walk around, get specs, hop on the WiFi and due some research when I was approached by Phil, another associate in the department. I explained to him what I was looking for, he showed me a few options and walked me around all of them, offering his opinions. I needed a dishwasher that fit very specific size requirement. He told me unless we went through the entire online collection he couldn't tell me what ones would work because that info just isn't posted in the showroom. I understood there was no way we were going to sit and do that, neither of us had that kind of time. He did give me a piece of paper and pen, told me to pick a few out I liked and thought may work, and bring it to him. He left to help others, and I got to work. When I came back with my list, he went through all of them with me, giving me the specs I needed until I found the right one. He ordered it for me, explained in detail how installation went, set me up with a pre installation of sorts (the install was complicated too). And all the while never once made me feel rushed, or that I was monopolizing his time. Let's not forget how crazy busy it was... He called and emailed me to check on the progress of everything. It was by far the best customer service I've ever received... and not just from a big box store, but anywhere. So this review is for you Phil, thank you. read more

I have an order pending with Lowes that was due in days ago. I have called daily, dealing with both the asst. manager and manager. They could not tell me where my order was. I finally contacted the vendor myself, got the trucking firm and contacted them with the trailer number, all myself, which they could have done. It has taken 10 days so far to come from California to Oregon and still is not in their distribution center. I am told it may not be unpacked there for up to 2 days, and who knows how long it will take to get to Bellingham, WA. And the only thing the management can say is it is out of their control. Even getting the information I was able to get. I will NEVER order another item from this store. Seems to me they need to eliminate the word "can't" from their vocabulary. Customer service is not their strongest suit. read more

Think twice about buying flooring from Lowes. We found the floor staff courteous and friendly but the information that their management team forwarded to us in regards to delivery and installation, was highly inaccurate. We were told we had to pay two weeks in Advance for the carpet to be ordered and then we booked off two weeks holidays so we could be there for the install, and then a week later payment in full for Lino that we were told was in stock, reserved for us because we paid, it was a lie. Right up until the installation date, they continued to lie and in the end nothing came in, nothing was reserved and the date for delivery was 2 months later. Further as Canadians with property in Bellingham we wasted countless trips to come down midweek to pay In advance not to mention the exchange of Canadian to US dollars. At that time we paid 3530.00 in exchange on 10,000.00. It has cost us a lot of money and trips to and from and our holidays were wasted. We cancelled our full order that we paid cash 9,000.00 and it took 4 visits to get our refund cash back. We expected a cup of coffee or lunch even for the time we sat at the store for them to deal with all the issues, not to mention our Canadian dollar was doing better, so we lost 2% paying early for nothing.
