Customer service doesn't just suck it's non-existent. Employees refuse to pick up the phone and if they do say they can't deal with your issue and to call back. Forget about trying to get a Manager on the line it's ridiculous. Online chat and telephone support all directing this flooring issue back to the store. Very frustrated and disappointed in Lowe's. I mean you are a large publicly traded corporation and your customer service is the worst of any retailer I've ever dealt with. I will never use Lowe's again for as long as I live. Lowe's 29¢ a foot carpet installation is a complete BS bait and switch! They've got 29¢ carpet installation advertisements all over the store. I went through the process, scheduled the measuring, then was quoted a price 3x higher than advertised. On top of that, the installation guy also tried to sneak in a BS $850 charge because he said carpeting can't be installed over a sheet vinyl floor. Was looking on line for black oil sunflower bird seed in the 40# bag. The Lowe's website states it could not confirm the quantity available or if it was even in stock. I believe the exact wording was "quantities may not be accurate". So I went out and drive to the store anyway. They were out of the 40# bag for $29.98 BUT conveniently had plenty of the 20# bags for, get this, $24.98. Why isn't the 20# bag (same product) half the price of the 40# bag??????? I'm done with Lowe's. No one ever in the store, they want everything to be ordered Special Order or on line yet they don't have a clue what they actually have in stock. NEVER any cashiers. The window dept. at Brick is so bad. Don was the one that initiated the window agreement. Took so long to get the job started. More of a miss than hit for him. Went back to the Dept. and that is lacking. Finally waited for the windows after the measuring and it took months. The truck came today and wrong window color. Lowes has a very inept department and I wouldn't recommend the service there. I did buy all my appliances and cabinets for my kitchen and they were more on top of the orders. After dinner you can come here for your rust remover as well as your bug repellent or light bulbs as well as most anything else you need for your home maintenance needs. Purchased a lawnmower, brand new, come to find out it was used when we opened it, had grass and lawn clippings all over the wheels and inside the blade area. Purcgased a washing machine here. They included the wrong hose. After hassling with customer service (in person at the store) the bottom line was: they refused to send someone to hook it up. The customer service rep (Eric) said I had to get a plumber. In other words, they refuse to send someone to bring the proper hose and attach it, but don't mind issuing a full refund and sending a crew and truck to pick up the washer plus, they haven't shown up yet! I started loving Lowe's after finding out their stores are dog friendly and I love bringing my dog as many places as I can! But, I encountered a problem recently when I wanted to buy a product that showed as in-stock in multiple stores in their computer system, but when I went in-person, they were out of stock! Lowe's, as a corporation, needs to work on their process to check inventory. It's one thing if one store shows stock and ended up not having any, but for multiple stores to have the same issue? That's a real problem. (FYI, Lowe's updates their inventory the night before so it's possible the numbers will be slightly off the next day). But, even with a frustrating shopping experience, the head cashier at the BRICK store, CINDY, was wonderful in helping us! The store was PACKED during Memorial Day weekend and Cindy spent at least 30 minutes with us double checking stock, calling multiple stores (while being put on hold for a while), and just being super friendly and calm. If I was her, I would have been freaking out. Even as she was helping us, she was helping other customers and Lowe's associates. Talk about multitasking. She was awesome and I thank her again for all her help! read more

We bought new appliances here and we're very happy with the sales staff and everyone in the store from the cashier to the courtesy desk. They didn't push to sell items we didn't want or waste our time showing us the most expensive appliances like they did in Eatontown. They lose two stars for failing to call with the delivery times, which is important when you take time off to be home. I would return here for future items. read more

I ordered a dryer in September, wrong one delivered. It happens. I go into the store the following day and reorder the correct dryer. After 3 months of waiting and repeated calls, still no delivery. I go back into the store and get told "I don't know what to tell you". Meanwhile my Lowe's card has been charged for the incorrect dryer that's sitting in my hallway and the new one that never got delivered. Of course I've been making payments on them because I don't want my credit score to be affected. I told the salesman could I have someone call me about this and he promises to have him call me in the a.m. Of course no call. I go back into the store and retell my story to yet another salesperson who says there's nothing he can do. While walking away I hear him say to his partner "I don't give a sh*t if she gets her dryer". I've called the store manager multiple times, no one picks up, waited for them in the store multiple times to be told "they don't know where he is". I finally go in and cancel my order for the new one and the delivery person (who was the only nice person from Lowe's) picked up the original dryer. So after 3 months, no dryer but yet I was charged interest on something I don't have. Please go somewhere else!!! We needed paint. We stood at counter for 5 min. No one was there . I rang the buzzer. No one came. I them asked another employee to please find some one in the paint department. Finally, JUDY Comes over looking like she should be home retired. NO personality. It was like we were bothering her. We asked her to mix up some brown paint to match a piece of wood we brought with us. Yes, it was a small piece of wood, which she told us very abruptly and she didn't know if she could match it. Then she asked us what kind of paint did we want. We told her to suggest which one we wanted us to use because we were unsure, thinking we would get an intelligent answer from the "paint expert". She appeared dumber than a stump!!! Sorry Judy, you were miserable. We almost walked out. It seemed like a task she couldn't fulfill. So after she mixed the paint and showed it to us to inspect..we refused it. It was wayyy off. She should have asked us to inspect the color on her screen before mixing it. Lowes you are losing money by employing this person!!!! Just for the record....two weeks before that we went to the toms river store and asked the paint man to do the same with the same size wood piece. He pulled it off without a hitch. I have never taken the time to write a review but felt obligated to write one based on my recent experience with Lowes, Rt 70 Brick NJ. The only word that comes to mind is incompetence with this store. I had a 5 yr warranty I paid for when I purchased an LG Washer from Lowes. The Washer stopped working after appr 1 year. Without going into detail I was able to get Lowes to refund my money for the purchase of the Washer. This took me 1 month and many phone calls. I would estimate I spent appr a full 2 days on hold or talking to a representative. The language difficulties were a challenge to say the least. I was promised delivery and installation of the Washer 3 separate occasions. Three separate times they simply did not show up and did not call. I lost 3 days of PTO from work. I will never purchase any major appliances from Lowes again. Again, I felt I should write this review to notify others of my experience with all parties involved with the purchase, delivery and installation of this purchase. Hopefully large organizations like this will stop blaming everything on the pandemic and supply chain issues and simply start caring about their customer experience. It is easily corrected with a little more thought to your Workflows. read more

Ordered a vanity online for a great price. Received an email 2 days ago that it was ready for pick up. Waited until today until I had extra assistance to get it home because the piece weighs 266 pounds. Went to the store and Maria at customer service gave me the receipt and said, "go through the orders in the middle of aisle 50, it should be there." When it wasn't I asked another associate whose name I can't recall for help and he said he didn't know what to tell me. Then I got the attention of Joe T, who was insanely rude. I explained the situation and he responded with, "ok, so what do you want me to do? I can't help you." I replied, "for starters i'd like you to stop giving us dirty looks and rolling your eyes at us. You guys are lucky enough to still have a job to do, so stop being rude and please do it." So he helped us find it in an entirely different aisle. The box was slightly beat up with a plethora of other online orders stacked on top of it. One item being an extremely heavy 3 piece bird bath which Joe asked my friends and I to assist him with, which we obliged. He then wheeled it to the front and attempted to lift it off the cart and said, "i'm not gonna try this, you three should do alright. Have fun with that." Then he laughed and walked away. It's an extremely large box and the item inside weighs nearly 300 pounds, an extra hand would have been a huge help. So an we order online for curbside pickup and have to pull the item ourselves and then get no assistance even loading it? The real kicker was upon getting it home and unboxing it, the vanity sink has a crack through the entire back of it, the counter is chipped and the counter has a very large crack through the back of it! Called both the location of purchase and customer service repeatedly. Customer service says longer than normal call volume, and Brick location doesn't answer. Deplorable. My wife is pregnant and it's not easy to get helping hands on deck with everything going on in the world. read more

Rather than properly helping customers they sent us running back and forth in circles..literally had us drive around the building where they claimed a product which was already paid for was "being unloaded off the truck now". I stopped in on late Saturday afternoon to pick up 10ft of 12/2 low voltage landscaping gauge to complete out the new lighting for my In-Laws house. The store is easy to maneuver around in and it well organized. My FIL and I have been to this Lowes before and will continue to shop here. The staff both times were extremely helpful. Store is not friendly to handicapped people. My Wife has,a physical disability and uses the electric scooters they have. When she,went to go out into their garden center to look at their plants, she was told by a store employee that she could not go out into the Garden Center with it. When she asked an employee at customer service about this, they told her that they don't want the carts in the parking lot. Last time I checked the Garden Center and the parking lot were 2 different places. I thought the Garden Center was part of the store, silly me! Well that cost them over $75.00 in sales. Any more we will be shopping at Home Depot. The employees their are much friendlier and the store is definitely friendly to people with disabilities. We had 107 feet of six foot dog eared stick built fence and 2 gates installed in December 2018 at the cost of $2,833. As of May 2019 a whole section of the fence fell to the ground in pieces. They came and repaired the fence. Had to call them again in June 2019 and July 2019 the fence is falling apart. They just keep nailing the pieces. The problem is they are using finishing nails, which hardly have any head at all. I think the company should take the fence back and reimburse the $2,833 or give us a better fence. When you speak to them no one knows anything about fence installation or the quality of wood that was used. I will never shop for anything at Lowe's in Brick, NJ again. I did a search online and found out that this type of fence needs ring shank galvanized nails with heads on them so the boards will not pull out. This was explained to them and to the fence installer that the wrong nails are being used. I always go to Home Depot and I never had any problems. read more

I would like to start off with my experience with Judy in blinds . The most professional individual that I have ever purchased anything from , a doll to help us make a decision and the patience of a saint , so she gets 5 STARS . Unfortunately the general manager Jason is a complete joke !!! We had some issues with the blinds that I ordered in November of 2020 , which are still not corrected , with numerous phone calls and emails over the 5 different times the installers came to install the new " corrected blinds " that are still not fixed , he doesn't respond to emails and phone calls are only after weeks of leaving messages . I run a multi million dollar company and the only place I would let Jason work , is where he would NEVER have to deal with any customers!! He has no personal skills whatsoever and definitely is not manager material !! I should of listened to my wife and went to Home Depot , but Judy was so great that we gave it a try . I'm sorry I did !!! Stay away from this store unless you are buying something that doesn't have to be ordered , because if something is wrong you will have to deal with what Lowe's calls a " store manager " !! We bought washer and dryer and it was delivered, and installed, at time of delivery. Delivery men were nice. After they left I tried to use the washer and it wouldn't drain. I immediately called the Brick store and could not get anyone in the appliance department. I finally got customer service on phone and she said she couldn't help but would take my phone number to the appliance department...and they would call me back! Needless to say they never called. After 5 hours we went to the store, and had a hard time finding someone available in the appliance department. Finally we found someone to help...we shared our problem and said we didn't want washer or dryer. He said nothing...just took our receipt and told us they would pick it up on Friday! No apologies..nothing. When asked if they had any matching set of front loaders in stock....he just said NO. We then went to Home Depot and bought a set! I came in on Monday night to buy an electric dryer. Understandable they did not have any in stock. But then the guy said they had on sale since it was scratched, he said it was "brand new and never installed". I asked how much it would be for them to deliver and he walked away. Typically not what a salesperson is supposed to do, not to mention it is extremely rude when being asked a question. I then looked in the dryer and took out the lint holder. In the lint holder not only was it filled with lint but hair. Due to an issue with my Bank of America card, it almost did not get delivered. I was fortunate enough to have Fahran assist me and I can't thank him enough! He was super patient, and even after numerous delays with my credit card company, he still had the fridge delivered. The guys that delivered it were awesome as well. Bought two interior doors in the past few months and had them installed by one of their installers. I could not be happier. I also bought a garage door about 1 1/2 years ago and had one of their people install it. Excellent service with skilled and friendly people doing their installs. Bought some other stuff there too. Always willing to help when you ask and walk you right over to what you are looking for. really disgusted with recent (non) service from the brick store. I purchased a washing machine that was to be delivered on Monday evening, anytime after 5. The call came that it would be delivered between 11:30 and 1:30! No good, and they could/would not change the time, stating it needed to be rescheduled. OK, bring it on Wed after 12:30. NO, they called to say it would be delivered between 8:30 and 10: 30 am. We called the number again to ask for later in the day...and was told that can't be done, that it needs to be rescheduled AGAIN! I then called Scott at the Brick store who sold me the washer. He did nothing but give me the toll free complaint number! On top of this, the store ran my credit card through their machine SIX times. When asked about this, I was told that's because it was charged each time it went to a different store even though Scott told me the Howell store had it in stock and it would be delivered from that store. It even states that on the receipt. The only compensation was that Scott offered me a free rental truck but I would need to find people to load and unload the washer from the truck, get it down the basement and then return the truck. Really???? How can a store get this so screwed up?? My business will do much better at the Home Depot! read more

I ordered a washer and dryer. asked for a delivery date 10 days later. Salesperson checked and said they appliances were in stock. I stopped in the Friday before the Monday delivery date to check that it was set up. (I had issues before but gave them another shot). Couldn't find my order-the guy had my phone number wrong. Fixed it-assured all was well. Sunday before delivery day got a call saying they were delivering between 11-1. (I took a day off from work to be there). Monday morning they call and say they do not have my order it isn't in stock. Seriously? How hard is this if what you do is sell appliances? $1500 was taken out of my bank they day I bought them 10 days earlier, but they aren't coming as promised. Went to store, lost my mind, got a washer and dryer and store credit and delivered that day. But I had to flip out on the store manager. No excuse for this incompetence.
